Good battery line trimmer with just a few niggles
I bought the EGO 56V Power Line Trimmer (ST1300E) from Masters Hardware in September 2016 for $273 (back when they were still operating), partly because I dislike the annoying sound of the petrol ones and you don't have to mess around with fuel. It is definitely quieter than a petrol trimmer. The EGO has not been heavily used but has been very handy when needed. Read more unit is reasonably well balanced when you hold it with the battery attached, this makes it easier to work with. The trimming width on this model is not particularly large, but adequate for smaller jobs. The trimming line feed can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes you have to bump it twice. Replacing the line is a bit of an exercise - though there are a few Youtube videos on how to do this, they explain it better than the manual. There are probably bigger and better battery line trimmers out there (including from EGO) but overall this model has worked pretty well for the last 5 years.

Excellent device Crappy batteries
I have an EGO 56 volt lawn mower and 56volt line trimmer both are excellent machines however the batteries are not up to scratch.
Both my batteries failed under warranty and had to be replaced. This was a long drawn out process. Now just out of warranty they have failed again....
Replacement costs are way too high $350 for the 5AH, $550 for the 10AH batteries.
It only cost $448.00 new with a battery, I guess it was a better deal than I thought
I am now trying to justify the outlay for new batteries or do I go back to petrol...

Very Much disappointed with EGO 33cm Cordless Line Trimmer KIT 5.0AH BATTERY+CHARGER ST1304E/ST1300E
After Reading about the product and after bit of research about it I thought to buy and use the product, though there are not much reviews and demos of this item ST1304E/ST1300E but looking at the impressive add and videos on their website, i was amazed and thought I should buy this Item. Read morean ON OFF switch, it doesn't work as an accelerator, it either turns the motor ON or the motor just turns OFF which is very disappointing. The Adjustable Handle is actually a fixed handle, which you fix ones and you can not adjust it with unscrewing four screws, it is not handy at all, you can just set it screw it and its fixed, to adjust again, you have to open all the four screws with screw driver that is not handy at all, very bad design. Now the Bump head - Nope eight out of ten times it doesn't work, the line feed type is 100 years old way of line feed, frustrating and not at all easy. The line trimmer is not at all well balanced, the battery side becomes very heavy and have to put lots of load on the handle. Last but not least, the charger makes lots of noise as there is some kind of fan in the charger for cooling the circuit, very annoying. I wish someone had written such review and I would have read and would never have bought this product. Very poor quality. Very Disappointed. I am feeling so sorry and sad about it. I will have to live with it and will use it for a while and sell in less than half price soon, also would let that person know all this. Not at all happy, i was so excited. But I hope am saving some people out there, who ever is reading this. Thank you.
Great until there is a problem
Regularly use a variety of EGO products. Great to use: lots of power, lightweight etc. That is, until something goes wrong. They outsource after sales service to a company called Install and Fix. Install and Fix are a big disappointment! Additionally, the batteries are a good for about two years not longer. Shame I really like using the products. But I’m looking around for an alternative.

Great product. BUT
Brought this in October 2018. Worked great for over a year, I was in love. I then also brought the hedge trimmer & Blower, all great products. Then in February 2020 Something went wrong & wouldn't bump anymore, bumper was quite worn so I spent $40 on a new bumper, still won't bump. As I have the battery & other products I am going to upgrade to the Powerload trimmer. Last chance EGO.

EGO 56V Line trimmer ST1300E. Even didn't long last a month..
I bought an EGO Power + 33CM brushless trim liner ST1300E. Even it didn't long last one month. It's under warranty. It's almost one month. It hasn't fixed yet. When I called to service agent, he said it takes a while as parts to be arrive. I am really disappointed with the product
