Excellent portable scanner
The Epson ES-60W is a great little portable scanner. Have used it to scan photos. Very fast and clear scans. Very easy to set up as well. I highly recommend this.
Purchased in March 2021 at Officeworks for A$229.00.

Some good results
What's not in the box ? Windows seems to require .net framework, which wasn't on the install disc, a nuisance if you try and set it up without an internet connection. This is a manual feed and paper alignment outfit which can be really painful if you have a lot of pages and/or creases that want to move the paper around whilst feeding - construction of an MDF feed tray was fairly simple, Epson could have provided a similar plastic item at minimal cost.

s. OCR is poor compared to free PDF readers that provide this facility. Scan to spreadsheet and word gave poor results, not good for a document scanner as this is where you want it to shine. The included software is not a patch on the old time "EpsonScan", but, to be fair, if your aim is to scan documents this is probably not that important. I noted that the software did not recognise an older Epson scanner connected at the same time. Biggest problem with the software was that each scan built up in memory until the software fell over through lack of memory - cache is not cleared with each document save. It it necessary to shut down the software completely on a regular basis to clear the cache. Irregular shaped documents also caused difficulties in that the feed stopped before the document was completely through the rollers. Provided you are on top of the problems, yes, it's a good little scanner which gives nice results for plain scanning - forget the extras, they don't work. Considering the problems value for money is marginal, I guess it depends on how long the mechanicals last.... :)
