Hi I am looking for a baby carrier and have been putting off getting the ergo 360 Omni mesh coz of the price. I have borrowed my friends Tula and daughter doesn’t like it I bought a Lille baby and it’s too chunky for me and it’s too big for my frame around my waist ... just wondering if the ergo 360 Omni mesh is worth it and will fit a body with small frame.

Hi, both my baby and I love this product. I’m 152cm and am a size 12 and I feel as though it fits us fine. Maybe consider going and trying one on before you purchase - that’s what I did.

Hi Sarah, are you folding down the bit at the front? You know, the section that supports his neck when he is sleeping whilst facing you? That’s the only thing I can think of - I recommend you take a peek at the ergo baby videos, they helped me heaps when I was starting out too.

Hi, thank you for responding! yes we have folded it down, I looked on the website and the models have some of their mouths slightly covered too. He might just need to get a bit bigger. Thanks you!

I recently bought the ergo baby omni 360. When I have my baby inward facing, one of the 'sliders' moves slightly - one side seems to click into place but the other side doesn't. Is this a defect or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Hi. I don’t have the Omni model, my carrier is the regular 360 and it has buttons instead of sliders. You’d best contact ergobaby for further support and advice.

Thanks, yes I took it back to Baby Bunting and they phoned Ergobaby for me and left my details with them. Juat waiting for someone to phone me.
I'm pretty sure it's faulty as one of the sliders seems to lock in but the other one doesn't. Perhaps they should have stuck with the old design - sliders may be a bit easier than buttons but not sure how well the sliders will last (especially if one of them is loose from new!)

Hi There, What is the weight limit for the Ergo 4 position to front carry facing out? I have read in some places 10kg and others 15kg. My 8 month old is 10kg but loves facing outwards. Thanks

It states 15 kg in the manual

Ergobaby
Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Lulu - the official weights for forward/outward facing is 6.4kg to 13.6kg. It does tend to be a lot based on height of you baby too so as long as baby can comfortably sit in the seat of the carrier and his chin is above the top panel when facing out he is good to go! 8 months is a lovely age to have baby facing forwards as their head and neck control is generally really well developed by this age.
So don't worry too much about weight, as long as he's happy and his mouth is clear of the carrier he can continue to enjoy forward facing. We use weight limits as a guide but as you know all babies are different. If you are at all concerned about your littles ones position in the carrier please feel free to email us some pictures to [email protected] and we will check it out for you. Thank you for your question, I hope your baby continues to enjoy facing forward and seeing the world with the comfort of being close to you. Jenna.

Does the mesh fabric on the 360 cool air irritate or hurt baby’s skin? Wanting the mesh to keep cooler in summer but at the shop, the mesh felt rough on my skin.

Hi Sam, I tried twice with my daughter who was about 8weeks at the time and part of her face where it touched the mesh were red. I was concerned it could irritate her skin with further use plus I found the mesh version quite bulky. So I returned this one and got the 360 OMNI in cool gray, which I found better for both of us.
If you are looking at something with cooling options try JPMB(jo Porte mon Bebe) it was voted #1 along side Ergo with JPMB getting Gold award and Ergo getting Silver! Jpmb is a French made and looks to be brilliant but I couldn’t wait buying it from Europe and getting delivered as my daughter was getting too heavy on Caboo so I went for Ergo(my second ergo buy) although I very much wanted the jpmb for Australian weather. Good luck!

Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Sam, Thanks for considering an Ergobaby Carrier as an option for you and your baby. You definitely won't be disappointed - our carriers are renowned for their comfort and ease of use.

That's a great question regarding the fabric on the Cool Air 360. We don't get very many negative comments in regards to the cool air fabric at all. It is a fabric choice that suits most people. Our products go through a rigorous testing process so any fabric or design we use has been chosen with comfort in mind - especially for baby. Having said that, everyone is different and as such we all have different comfort levels. Keep in mind, there are teething bibs and pads available to purchase with your carrier which are made from a soft cotton fabric that will cover part of the top of the carrier so this could be an option for you if you are concerned.

The 360 Cool Air is one of our best selling Carriers here in Australia. The fabric is designed to be comfortable and provide a cooling option for you and your baby. It's a popular, comfortable choice which shouldn't cause irritation to your baby.

Hi, I'm thinking to have ergo 360 but afraid it does not meet my son's weight. He is 15 months and 14-15kgs but still not yet to walk. Often I carry him while put all the groceries on the pram seat (my pram has small basket). Please advice whether it's worth to buy.. thank you

I would not buy it as I am sure your son will walk soon. What you could do is going into a baby shop and see how you feel with it. According to the manufacturer, the carrier can be used until 4 yrs old /33ibs but personally, as soon as my child walks ok, I will stop using it as it feels quite heavy on my lower back if I wear it for longer than 1 hr.

Ina

Hi Maria,
I agree with Roxaria. My son is 9 months now and sometimes tries to get of the carrier since last few weeks. But every kid is different. Try it in the store and may be walk around for sometime before you decide if you really need it. Hopefully he starts walking soon. All the best!

Ergobaby
Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Maria, thankyou for taking the time to post your question here on Product Review. Our Ergobaby 360 takes up to 15kgs so given that your son is already at that weight limit I would suggest looking at our Adapt Carrier instead. Our Adapt Carrier is a 3 position carrier but has the advantage of taking up to 20kg in weight. The main difference between the two carriers is that the 360 has the ability to be able to forward face your baby whereas the Adapt Carrier doesn't allow this. Apart from that, both carriers do the same thing - you can carry baby facing you, on your side and on your back. The Adapt is a perfect carrier for a child up to 20kgs. Our best advice is to go into one of our stockists if possible and try one on with your baby to see what you think.

I hope that this helped and good luck with your decision.

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a zip pocket on the 360 Cool Air (like the Performance)?

2 answers

Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Farah, no, unfortunately the 360 Cool Air doesn't come with a zip pocket. The Performance is the only one of our carriers to have pocket in the body of the carrier. However, we have just launched our newest addition to the range - the Omni 360. This carrier does everything our current 360 Carriers do BUT you don't need to use an infant insert with it. In addition, it comes with a detachable pouch which actually gives you better storage than the pocket on the Performance Carrier. You can check the Omni 360 out on our website or through our social media pages.

Farah
Farah

Thank you for your response, the Omni doesn't appear to have a mesh/extra breathable version though and I have a baby that runs hot and gets sweaty, plus summer is coming up. I ended up getting the 360 Cool Air and a custom detachable pouch on Etsy which works well for us! :)

Would the newborn feel colder using the cool air mesh infant insert compared to the original baby insert during winter??

And does the middle strap of the insert make a difference to keeping the baby nice and closed up? Because the mesh doesn't have the strap, whereas the original does

2 answers
Ina

Hi Nora,
Sorry I cant help you, as I never used it when my baby was newborn. I've always used it without the infant insert wheb he was few months old. Sorry.

Ergobaby
Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Nora

Thanks for getting in touch with us and thankyou for choosing an Ergobaby Carrier. The newborn won't feel colder when using the cool air mesh infant insert in winter. The fabric design of the cool air mesh infant insert allows for breathability during the summer months. The fabric has a moisture wicking technology inbuilt which essentially provides a cooler feel when bub is feeling warm. In Winter months, this won't have the same effect as bub generally wouldn't be as warm.

The middle strap of the insert makes no difference at all. The Infant Inserts with the middle strap are an original design. Our new inserts have been designed without this strap as we found it wasn't necessary and parents feedback was that it was something that wasn't being used.

I hope you find these answers helpful and we wish you all the best with your new baby! You will find lots more tips and advice on our website.

I have a very heavy 4.5 mo (nearly 9 kg). I was hoping to get a 360 for forward facing, but am worried I won't get much time out of it in this mode as my daughter is quite large (weight rather than height), any advice appreciated!

1 answer
Ergobaby
Karrie H.Ergobaby

Hi Ljc, thankyou for contacting us via Product Review with your query. The weight rating on our 360 carriers is 15kg. This weight rating will give you longevity of use of the carrier as a whole. In regard to using the 360 in the forward facing position this will be dependent upon your comfort level carrying your child in the forward facing position. As you baby grows and gets heavier, if you are carrying your child in a forward facing position, you will tend to feel the weight through your shoulders more. It's a difficult question to answer as everyone has their own individual comfort level. Keep in mind though that our carriers offer the side and back carry positions also which you find more comfortable as your child grows whilst still providing the ability for your child to essentially be facing out. I hope this helps, and good luck with your decision.

Hi AMG, thankyou for your question regarding our Ergobaby 360 Cool Air Carrier. The waistband on the 360 Cool Air Carrier is 55 inches. It also features lower back support as part of the waist band. But I am 161cm in height, I weigh 56kg, and I am size e cup in my nursing bra. I have lower back pain regularly.

Hi JH86, thankyou for considering an Ergobaby for your choice of baby carrier. Ergobaby carriers are renowned for being ergonomically designed to be comfortable for both baby and parents. In regard to your height, weight and cup size any of our carriers will fit you comfortably. The shoulder straps are adjustable on all our carriers which is very helpful for nursing mums and can be adjusted to give you more room if necessary. To assist with your back issues, I would recommend looking at our new Adapt. This carrier would be perfect for you as the waist band provides a lumber support which is extremely comfortable. Hi Deb,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding our award winning Ergobaby carriers. The Ergobaby 360 features an adjustable Velcro waistband designed to effectively transfer your baby's weight efficiently for longer comfort and greater back support. The aim is to be able to evenly distribute babies weight across your hips and shoulders. The Ergobaby 360 is a 4 position carrier, although wearers will always find that inward leaning positions (front inward, hip, back) will be most comfortable.
Considering your back, knee and pelvic issues we would recommend seeking professional medical advice before you use our Ergobaby carriers as only your qualified doctor or physician are able to give correct recommendations based upon your specific health issues.
Before purchasing why not visit your local Ergobaby approved retailer who will be pleased to be able to help you try one of our carriers before making a purchase. Details on approved retailers can be found here: http://www.ergobaby.com.au/authorised-retailers/
Do not hesitate to contact Babes in Arms should you require any further information.

Congratulations Deb! I have had lower back issues forever & I find the ergo 360 is perfect to position however it is comfortable for you to carry a baby in (a bit higher or lower on your hips, making sure you stick to the baby wearing safety guidelines of course). My daughter is now 1 & a good 13kg & I find now it's more comfortable for me to carry her on my back now but up until she hit the 11kg mark she was very comfortable on my front or on my side. The only other thing I would suggest is finding a baby wearing expert in your area....yes they do exist! & trying on a few carriers to see which suits you. Good luck & all the best for your new arrival!

Hi, I want to get the 360, but I'm a bit deterred by the fact it's 100% cotton (and not partly mesh). We live in QLD, where it's basically summer all year round. Is it still suitable for those horrible summer days?

3 answers

Chicklepilly

Hi Nizo, I live in QLD (Brisbane) as well and used the 360 throughout summer with no problem. Bub does get a bit sweaty but that's partly to do with the fact that on those hot summer days I start sweating the moment I leave the house, especially with a 10kg baby strapped to me, and my body heat naturally passes onto bub! Also on those horrible humid and hot days I try to stay indoors, so it really hasn't been a problem for me. I used it in Singapore for a week, and the heat and humidity there is even more intense. Bub didn't overheat, and I just dressed him in nappies and a singlet. The infant insert might make things a bit hotter though, if your little one is going to be using the insert during the hottest months. You could get the Performance insert, which is made from mesh. Ergobaby also make a mesh version (Ventus) that's similar to the 360, maybe you could give that a try if you're really worried about the heat?

Hi ... I did find it hot as he was very small in the hot months and we used an insert. I think i was hotter than him though, he didn't seem phased at all.

Nizo

Thanks for replying. I thought about the Performance Ventus, but I could not find any reviews. I also physically inspected the 360 and it's definitely thicker than the original Ergo. Also that velcro strap is annoying, so I have officially become stupefied by baby carriers...

Hi, I am deciding between Ergobaby Performance and this one Four positions 360. Has anyone tried or tested out both? What's the difference between the two and which would you recommend?

2 answers
Tracy

I have tried both and would have to say that the original Ergo is by far the best!! The waist band on the new 360 is different.. It's not as thick and supportive. The 360 one is thinner, doesn't sit on hips well, is Velcro and it rides up when I wear it and doesn't actually provide any support compared to the original... I love the original it's so comfy to wear... The 360 is difficult to get on too as the band rides up when your trying to clasp the back strap and it puts pressure on shoulders... I'm very dissapointed in the 360 and its a real shame. I wouldn't recommend it... Stick with the original.

I've tried both performance and 360. The 360 is excellent in comfort, support and better padded but hotter than mesh in performance. However it's still lovely soft cotton. Downside is 15kg weight limit whereas performance is 20kg. The performance mesh is great for hot climate or sports but the strap and neck collar is very narrow around baby face, although my baby's head is tall enough to be above the strap. Depends on baby mind is claustrophobic and cried. Performance is not so well padded. I personally love the performance for the hot tropics but wished they made it more open around baby's neck or with options to fold down.also front facing would make it excellent! The waist strap on both are great in distributing weight. Hardly feel baby's weight.

I just checked, and it's still in stock. Took 2 days to arrive by courier. Hope this helps!
