I had the older model for many years, and had no problems with it,, so when it started to leak at the hose i replaced it with the newer model. Within days of getting it the catch to lock in the poles broke, then the wheel kept coming off. today it had a flare up and now completely ruined, within a year of purchasing it I now have no steam cleaner. Not worth the money.

Doesn't produce enough steam which makes it a tough work out to push around. Takes multiple attempts to remove simple water and dog paw prints. It's like pushing a broom through mud trying to get it around a small kitchen and living area. Wish I hadn't brought it. Got it to replaced a a Shark which was far easier to move around tiled floors.

Do not waste money on this mop!

After doing my research I decided on this mop high certainly wasn't the cheapest. I am very happy with the results when using on both my high gloss tiles and polished wooded floor. No streaks or wet patches. I have used it on the carpet which certainly looks fresher. So far I have only used it about five times and have not run out of water yet. Pads are easy to take on and off, as yet I have not washed them. I only have one tiny complaint about the design in that the power cord exits the machine very low down and I constantly stand on it,...

It definitely does its job. I found it easy to move not heavy or bulky as some have said. It does not have the same scrub power as a mop so any dry bits of food (for me tonight it was tomato seeds juice) need to be removed by hand and if it does unstick it, it will just move ot around the floor. It is simply for going over your floors when they have minimal mess and cleaning as soon as mess is made (as a mother this isnt always possible). If I didn't have a toddler constantly running mess around the house it would be fine!

We live in a big house with a large part of the living areas being tiled and the stairs to the first floor being timber. It used to take a lot of hours and sweat mopping the floors.
After doing some research we decided to buy this steam mop and I wish I'd bought it sooner. Its so much quicker to mop the floors, they dry a lot more quickly and it takes a lot less effort from me i.e. I don't get as sweaty!

This steam mop is great, nice long handle cleans in minutes & I don't have to wait around for wet floors to dry. The cleaning pads are easy to clean just have to put them in the washing machine, I have now purchased the multi purpose cleaner for my other cleaning jobs

I love to steam my floors and got hooked when I got a free steam mop with my shark vacuum. I used my freebie so much that I decided to upgrade when I moved house. The guy at Harvey Norman suggested the monster. I thought it had some good features and it was one of the more expensive ones so I bought it, because you get what you pay for right?? Nope my free one was way better than this :(

I'm overall happy with the steam mop but there are 2 issues which I consider to be flaws with the design.
1.There is no window to indicate how much water is in the tank. The instructions say "do not over fill the tank" but you have no way of knowing how much water is left in the tank after use.
2. The towelling mop get caught up under the mop when moving it back on forth on the floor. This is annoying.

I cannot believe how well this this steam mop cleans the floor. After purchasing a Kambrook steam mop that was a piece of rubbish many years ago i said i would never use one again. I must say i am converted and actually want to mop the floors now. It's been out with the fluffy mop and bucket and in with the steam machine. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

I've owned several steam mops over the years; Kenwood (robust but left floors wet) and Bissel (don't get me started).

The Monster EZ1R generates more steam than the others I've used, you can hear and feel the difference as soon as you start using it.

Leaves floors clean and only very lightly wet, the floors are dry within minutes.

I purchased this steam cleaner after using a number of other products such as the H20mop and Kenwood brand. This mop has a large head which is very good to cover large floor spaces quickly. The only thing is the blue colour on the unit itself can sometimes leave marks along the skirtboards of my home which is annoying but its more my fault than the unit. Also the microfibre pads don't pick up as much dirt and aren't as effective in some dirt that is stuck on my tiles. I sometimes need to get on my hands and knees and scratch it off with my fing...

I love my new steam mop, how it cleans my floors and I even gave the carpet pad a whirl today. There is only one thing wrong...........It really needs a little window to see how much water is in it. It says not to overfill the boiler, but it is too late when you do accidentally overfill it. Also, I have no idea how much water is left in it after use and usually end up getting one minute of steaming done only to have to top the water up. (in which case, switch off, let it cool down or I will end up burning myself with it spitting hot water out.) The instructions tell you how much water to put in, but who knows how much is left.

It needs a water indictor window.

This is my third steam mop, having owned a Kenwood for several years, then a Bissell which only lasted a few months I was persuaded by the shop assistant to try a Monster. Having read some of the reviews here I hesitated. I am so pleased now that I was talked into trying the Monster as it is the BEST steam mop I have ever used, it is a treat to use and the steam is wonderful compared with the previous 2 I had used. Still happy with it after 1 year.
