Great mop - buyer beware ongoing cost!
Awesome mop, had it for 6 months. However the pads have already worn out, even though I only mop ever 10-14 days! The Velcro won’t stick making it impossible to mop. Electrolux kindly gave me one new mat but told me they recommend changing them every 6 months (their info doesn’t say this clearly). At $60 ever 6 months it makes this a VERY expensive mop! The unique design means there is no way around this expense.
Purchased in for $349.

Thank-you for the tips. I have done all of those things, our floor is smooth tiles, and I have checked the teeth. I change the pads, and I wash them carefully. However the velcro (which did stick well in the beginning) has just worn off both pads.

Best steam mop to date!
We have used several different brands of steam mops in the past on all our tiles floors and weren't happy with them so went back to the "old" way of mopping with a cloth.
A family member recommended the Euroflex M2R, so we did due diligence with research and found reviews were great, although a high price tag than what we used but I guess it comes down to that you get what you pay for - sometimes! - not always.

Read moreof dirt easily and tiles have never looked cleaner! No elbow grease- just hold and glide when mopping my floors. Water in the tank takes around 3 minutes to heat up and you cant over fill it if you follow the instructions by filling the measure cup with water. Initially when first used there were streak marks but we worked out it would have been from previous chemicals that have been used on the floor in the past when cleaning, and we went through 2 pads it was that dirty, but after a few times of use, there are no streaks and floor is left dry. Even has a steam booster function for tough spots. Now, the house is done on just one pad, and it feels great to know the floors are sanitised, especially in the kitchen area where a lot of food prep goes on. So 6 months in and we are extremely happy with this appliance and strongly recommend this product that has great build quality, features and performance. Although RRP is $399, it can be found cheaper.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your comments for the benefit of other consumers who are thinking of buying a Euroflex product. What you said is “spot on”, we could not have said it better ourselves.

Thank you for acknowledging my review and liking it! Also thank you for the tips. Product is already registered. :-)

As a bonus it comes with a carpet sledge which is used to refresh and kill dust mites in carpets using the super-heated steam created by the steam generator. The product is not a carpet cleaner. Carpet cleaners use an extraction method that relies on the use of water, a carpet shampoo and the removal of dirty water from the carpet by extraction. There is actually no steam used in carpet cleaning, a big misconception for many many years. As a result of this misconception we state on the box, on our website, and all promotional literature that the product will only refresh carpets not wash them (we need to be very specific about this because of the misconception about steam cleaning). Fantastic and powerful steam mop
I've used many different brands of steam mops in the past and the only decent one was Karcher but it died and couldn't afford to buy a new one and also wanted something more compact as the Karcher was like a traditional vac.
After a lot of searching, I found the Euroflex M2R and my floors (fake wood), were absolutely disgusting. I held off cleaning as I wanted to really test my new mop and the scrubbing head with the power steam, everything was gone with one stroke, didn't have to repeat a single area once which was so refreshing. I don't have...
Read more the time for elbow grease when mopping my floors. I managed to do two bathrooms, foyer, kitchen, lounge, dining, hallways and two toilets on one tank with water left over. The floors dried within a minute a most, cord length is good, I did add a 5m extension cord so I didn't have to change power points constantly and the pad was absolutely FILTHY, but threw it straight in the wash and came out like new. Next, I'll give the carpeted areas a shot and I'm positive it'll freshen them, kill any bacteria and more. Very happy with this steam mop!Purchased in at The Good Guys for $293.

Amazing Cleaner
As an owner of a large expanse of vinyl flooring and living rurally..... mopping is a difficult and time consuming task in my busy lifestyle. After reviewing MANY steam mops online I decided to purchase this model due to the boiler version of creating a drier steam to clean. I honestly was dubious as I generally subscribe to the need of water to wash things well.... but I am absolutely blown away with this cleaner. It's easy.... actually quite fun.... the floor literally dries up behind you and IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! The option to power blast a...
Read more stream of steam in font of the cleaner meant that even dried on black soil mud simply disappeared into the magical cleaning pad !! Wow!! I am super impressed. The boiler tank only holds 600ml but that was more than enough to do 3 living areas, open kitchen and dining, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets and a hallway. The only complaint I have...and it really isn't that big of a deal.... is the cord length. But a longer cord would be difficult to store on such a little light cleaner. I simply attached it to an extension cord before I began to save unplugging throughout the house. Truly a helpful little beauty❤Purchased in at Betta Home Living for $369.

HI Georgie, we are pleased you like your new Vapour floor steam cleaner by Euroflex. Water is definitely needed in the cleaning process and it is an important element, but equally important is "heat"...
Read more to soften and loosen dirt. Euroflex products have a commercially inspired design that uses a boiler (also called a steam generator) to create Super-heated steam. As you discovered the steam that has been Super-heated in a boiler makes all the difference for optimum cleaning results. The higher amount of heat busts dirt and grime quickly, while the drier steam leaves floors quick to dry and streak free. There is no issue in attaching an extension cord while cleaning if needed for a larger home. For my tinny tiny city apartment the cord is more than enough (yes, that was me expressing envy of your much larger home, lol). I also like how water efficient our floor steam cleaners are, only 600 ml cleaned all that area for you! With water being in scarce supply in rural areas in the past, we don't want to waste a single drop. Happy steam cleaning!Questions & Answers
Hi guys- just curious as to why have a tile grout cleaning tool when the cleaner covers those areas already. Is there any evidence that it helps remove heavy build - up in the grout (ours is black after 20 years). Also wondering is this company that made the monster mop - i purchased one a few years ago, and it worked extremely well. However after a few years i found the steam stopped working a/c the connection between the tubes separated slightly, which required releasing and retightening the clasp between the tubes. After a few years the bottom had corroded badly - but i think this maybe due to me leaving the wet pad on every use and not removing it?

Branko
Hi Branko,

Hello,
I have just purchased a brand new Vapour M4S model. I am looking forward to its use, esp on tiles. I will provide feedback on how this goes....
Read more I have just read the Instruction Manual, and nowhere does it state the recommendation to clean & change the pad after every use, or once every refill as per your comments. Hopefully should be in later editions. Can you also advise where "we recommend in the instruction manual not to leave the wet pad on the base" is in the manual as I cannot see it in the manual. Regards BrankoHi Branko, thanks for purchasing a Euroflex product. Just above point 2E in the "NOTE", we advise to replace the pad if too dirty or too wet. The function of the microfibre is to pick up and hold dir...
Read moret, if the microfibres are saturated with too much water or dirt, then they cannot pick up and hold anymore dirt. Therefore a dirty/wet pad should be changed to a clean/dry pad, to re-charge the cleaning performance of the pad while you are cleaning. As a general guideline we recommend that the pad should be changed at least once with every refill of the boiler (this is just our guideline because every home is different and the amount of dirt varies in each home). We apologise if not specifically stated in the M4S manual to remove a wet/dirty pad after each use and to wash it, so that it is ready for the next use. Wet/Dirty pads should not remain on the unit because the wetness has the potential to cause mold and smell (we assumed that this is understood that wetness causes a mold and a smell, perhaps a wrong assumption). Therefore please remove the wet/dry pad once you have finished cleaning. We will modify the instruction manual to specifically mention this point. How well does this product work on cleaning a rug? I've got a rug that I'd like to refresh and have feeling new but will this do the trick?
Hi Zak.....short answer is NO.....for years people have thought that steam is used to clean carpets, but it is not. To wash carpets/rugs its an extraction system that infuses carpet shampoo and water ...
Read more(hot water used in commercial carpet cleaners) into the carpet then the dirty water is extracted (vacuumed) out of the carpet. For anything that has a fiber like a carpet, lounge, mattress, a suitable cleaning detergent is needed (just like when you wash your clothes in a washing machine, you need laundry powder to remove the dirt from the fibers of the garment that you are washing. Our Vapour M2R is used to wash hard floors in place of a mop an bucket, a mop and bucket is not normally used to wash carpets, hence the Vapour M2R does not wash carpets either. But we have included a bonus carpet sledge with pad in the Vapour-M2R to use the super-heated steam from the boiler in the M2R to kill dust mites in carpets for those who have asthma, but the carpet sledge cannot be used to remove dirt from a carpet. We hope that helps, thanks for considering Euroflex for your floor washing needs and thanks for asking the question because I think it clarifies things for other customers who may ask the same question.Carpet glider on new machine will not stay clipped on at the front. Why is this?
Hi Roger...just make sure that the carpet pad inside the carpet glider is no hindering the clips at the front from snapping on. It does require the use of hands to snap the clips on.

Hi Ruth
Read moreEuroflex uses a premium quality, high-density, long strand microfibre pad because we find that it performs the best at giving an effective clean. It is designed for hundreds of uses and washes. The $60 replacement pack of pads includes 3 pads ($20 each) that should last well over a year. We would not recommend changing the pad every 6 months; however, we do recommend changing the pad with every refill of the boiler during cleaning. The function of the long strand microfibre is to pick up and hold the dirt. Once the microfibres become saturated with dirt, they cannot perform their function and their effectiveness diminishes. By changing the pad to a clean pad during the floor washing, you re-charge the effectiveness of the pad and therefore the cleaning results are maintained. One pad should not be used to clean the whole house. Most customer say how hard it is to remove the microfibre pad from the base because it grips so firmly. If your pad is coming loose then check the following tips below: 1. Euroflex products are designed for smooth sealed hard surface floors. A rough or a textured floor (such as an anti-slip floor) will cause the microfiber pad to stick and be torn off the base. It’s a bit like running a cloth over sandpaper, it will not work. Check your floor type. 2. The vapour-like steam from Euroflex products has less than 10% moisture content for fast drying floors. Some floor types require more moisture than others. If you find that the pad is gripping on the floor and coming loose, use the front jets to provide extra moisture to the floor or use a spray bottle to dampen the pad before attaching it to the base to provide extra moisture to the floor. 3. The row of teeth at the base are used to firmly attach the microfibre pad. Check that the row of teeth is not damaged. If damaged the pad will not firmly attach. 4. The “loop and hook” strip (Velcro) sown on to the pad attaches the pad to the base. Ensure that there is nothing stuck to the Velcro such as lint, fluff or any other material that can obstruct the pad from being attached. 5. Please follow the washing instructions for the pad to maintain its effectiveness, no bleach and no fabric softener should be used and no tumble drying unless on cool setting (air drying is most recommended). We hope that helps.Thank you for your comments but we are a bit surprised to read that your pads have worn out.
