Very efficient, great price, a bit loud
I purchased my euromaid DE6KG dryer from appliances online after many hours of research. They delivered and Installed it with no dramas - great service. Can be wall mounted but I have mine on a nonslip mat on top of my 8kg front load washer. Very stable. Have noticed it's a bit noisy while running but it's not so loud that it's a problem for us. Have also noticed the lint filter goes in on an angle - must be so it won't fall out if you wall mount with controls at the bottom. Spins both ways if you select crease control which I think makes it dry quicker also.
I'm quite happy with the overall performance

Euro aide DE6kg
I purchased this dryer but now the drum has fallen apart and I can't use it I only purchased it 6 months and so disappointed due to the location I live in it is necessary to have a dryer during winter to survive. I have always purchased euro products as they have been good quality but not happy with this one. Now I have to purchase another new dryer in less than 6 months.

Love it
This is a great little dryer. I had never owned a dryer before and did a lot of research before choosing one within my budget. This has done a great job with no problems. I had read that the lint filter can be hard to remove and put back but I find it very easy to use and clean. First electricity bill since using it showed no real increase in consumption which was a surprise.

A bit loud, but very efficient & powerful.
This dryer is massive, with a 6kg capacity that's capable of handling a full load of washing from our machine. It's a little on the noisy side, but it makes up for that by being able to dry things thoroughly & quickly due to its high temperatures, although this is variable if you're drying delicate items. The soft-touch buttons & lack of a dial are a pleasure to operate, & it's very communicative, beeping when it's finished to let you know your washing is dry. The only problem is, if you open the door & walk away, it will remind you it's sti...Read more
ll on by beeping, which can be a little annoying initially until you're used to it. It has variable heat & cycle times, a setting for permanent press items, & changes the direction in which it rotates periodically, to agitate & reorganise items to ensure they dry evenly. The lint filter is different, & is located just inside the door, making it easy to access which is good because it must be emptied every load as it gets full pretty rapidly. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this appliance, & find it very good at performing its job when I need it to.1 comment

Dries clothes reasonably well, but very noisy & started to malfunction after 4 months.
I read numerous reviews when I was looking to purchase & ended up settling on the Euromaid DE6KG for our needs and budget at the time. Other reviews commented on the noise, so we were expecting that although it actually was noisier than I imagined - we need to keep the laundry door closed and turn up the TV!
When it was working, the dryer did a good job of drying our clothes - no shrinkage or other problems with thanks to being able to adjust the temperature. Drying time was LONG - no real 'quick' setting.
Unfortunately, after about four mont...Read more

Does its job, but far from optimal.
It dries our clothes well, but that's where the good things end.
For some reason, the lint builds up really rapidly. I try to empty the filter before each use but it seems to be always overflowing. Furthermore, I always come back to puddles of condensation all over our laundry. Fortunately we don't use our dryer much since we have a proper outdoor clothesline, but I definitely regret not spending a bit more money to get a more reliable machine.

Not switching off
Not switching off have to do it manually. Dryer was on for 2 hrs and towels were dry. Is this normal or should it turn it self off after a certain time. We only purchased this today. Abit concerning if it doesn't turn itself off meaning could cause a fire.

Don't buy - was so disappointed !!
We purchased this dryer it broke and started making REALLY loud noises and never really worked properly from the start I'm really disappointed. The filter system is the worst design I have ever seen and I wish i did not fall for the sales crap! It does dry things, however it sounds like a Jumbo jet taking off - wish I had taken it back immediately. However with new baby and two other kids it all seemed so hard - one piece of advice DON'T BUY!!

Disaster Purchase - so noisy and constant lint mess.
I have had this machine since August 2015 - we had to wall mount it due to space restrictions. It is so noisy my neighbours can even hear it. I have ensured it is completely level and tried putting rubber behind the spacers to buffer the vibration noise - it does not help.
We also clean the lint cleaner every time but it still blows a ridiculous amount of lint into the laundry which I regularly have to vacuum off the walls.
The noise and the lint are the worst I have experienced. Our last dryer was an electrolux and it stopped heating after...Read more

WAS GIVEN FALSE INFORMATION ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASSION
Hi there
We bought this 6kg Euro unit from SA Appliances in Adelaide, South Australia a little under two years ago.
When we bought the unit the sales guy went through his pitch and advised that we could set it up as a rear vent. The floor model and the catalogue all said rear vent. This was important as we only had the option for a rear vent unit.
When we got the unit back and discovered that it was actually a front vent only, we immediately called SA Appliances. SA Appliances first said they would never have said that and then the sec...Read more
ond time we rang, they directed us back to the manufacturer. You're response to us, was that the unit was never a rear vent and to go back to the reseller, which we again did. The reseller then admitted that the manufacture, being you, had made an error on the catalogue.5 comments

Makes my clothes smell terrible
We purchased this dryer a couple of days ago and I'm really disappointed. Every load comes out dry but smells horrendous. Especially the towels. My son thought the cat had messed in the bathroom, the smell is so bad. I use good washing powder and put extra softener in to try and reduce the smell but still horrible.

Basic Dryer
I have a small space in my laundry so my choice of dryer was limited to what would fit. I had to mount it upside down, which is fine by me. Euromaid provide a large sticker to place over the control panel which will make it readable when it's upside down. It's a thick sticker with buttons built into it and little clear holes in it so that you can see the indication lights through it. Very handy. The only trouble is, it's extremely sticky and you only get ONE shot at applying it and it would take an above average skill to apply it perfectly into...Read more
place in one go. And I didn't manage. I put it on just a little crooked and somehow I managed to get air trapped behind it. It looked pretty bad so I tried to ease it back off and it just started to peel really badly and it just got worse and worse as I dug myself into a hole. So, I decided to just rip the sticker off and chuck it and order a new sticker. The sticker has a part number and everything. Long story short, $80 for the sticker plus $20 postage. $100, for a sticker. That's what, like, a fifth of the price of the whole entire appliance? So, I have no sticker and my control panel info is all permanently upside down. So that's my warning. If you buy one of these dryers please be aware that if you want to mount it upside down and you want your control panel to be the right way up you will only get one shot at putting that sticker on so do it very carefully and patiently. Other than that the dryer is OK.3 comments

Torrensville. He quoted me $79.31 for a pack of two stickers (one sticker the right way up, one sticker upside down) He told me the only way I could buy them was in a pack of two like that.. He quoted $15 for shipping the stickers to me. He also told me he would require a $40 deposit before ordering the stickers. It seemed like a rip off so I didn't place the order.Never ended up hearing back from the Euromaid official.

Not worth it
This is a new dryer and used about 5 times. Dryer not shutting off when towels are already dry - going for three hours for a few towels? I don't think so. Also, lint catcher is so hard to click into place I have pulled every muscle across my chest trying to push it down, otherwise door doesn't close.

Bad product & bad service
I purchased the Euromaid 6kg tumble dryer. Used it maybe 6 times and it trips my switch. It's less than 3 months old and hardly used. The service from Euromaid is just atrocious! Im on hold for more than 1/2 hour every time I call and getting nowhere. 3 weeks later, in the middle of winter my 3 month dryer is still not fixed. It should have been replaced! Do not any Euromaid applicance!

Back up service????
The dryer worked well for the first 10 months then lost all heating. We contacted the Newcastle branch in May who directed us to contact the local technician, we did that day. Nearly three weeks went by with us contacting the technician to find out when he would be able to fix the dryer (Newcastle to Pokolbin is only 3/4 to 1hrs drive).
When the technician arrived we were advised that the dryer front panel was shot and an order had been submitted to either replace the dryer or the entire front panel.
More time went by and we were in still re...Read more

Wasn't Sure If It Was Hot Enough
I recently purchased the Euromaid DE6KG clothes dryer after not having a dryer for a couple of years and it does not seem to be getting hot enough. It reads in the manual to be careful when opening the door if clothes are still damp as steam my injure however there is no way my dryer is getting hot enough to create steam from damp clothes.
I put 2 freshly washed large, thick bath towels (commonly known as 'bath sheets') in to test it and they took 50 minutes to dry. Even though they are thick towels, this seems to be a long time to dry to me ...Read more

The lint filter falls out when mounted upside down
The dryer works well but mine is mounted upside down on my laundry wall for space reasons and the lint filter falls out and spills lint over the clothes when you open the door. I would love to know if anyone has experienced this problem and has a solution. It is very annoying.

Does not wall mount!!
Regardless of what Euromaid say, it does not wall mount. The lint filter falls out whenever it gets hot and cannot be replaced to close the door. We have been waiting over 3 months for a solution. The response of HAPL has been poor to non-existent. Based on these reviews we had Harvey Norman get one in from the supplier for us - we now know why they did not stock them.

Fantastic dryer, bought it about 2 months ago, everything is dry at the end of each cycle. Is pretty quiet and was much less expensive than big brands with poor reviews. I hadn't heard of the brand prior to purchase but I'm really glad I purchased this product. Go for it!
