Installation of pump had been quick and easy process. Does not make much noise. Pump is very effective and serves the purpose. Would happily recommend this product to any one.

DHP50-R Unit is OK, when its running, but service support from Evo-heat is terrible
I bought this unit in Dec 2022 for my 48,000 ltr pool. The guys at Menai Pool Barn went above and beyond with the install just in time for Christmas, especially on routing & provisioning the piping for the installation of the unit. Have been very happy with the unit ...when its running. After about 6 months the wifi connection unit failed and needed to be replaced. This was done without too much hassle. But troubleshooting the problem was difficult (the app is difficult to connect to and clumsy to use and has no meaningful instructions for trou...
Read morebleshooting) After a few follow ups to get the replacement wifi unit delivered, eventually the unit was replaced and the problem was fixed (not a big deal). However, during autumn this year we noticed the unit was not performing as efficiently or effectively as usual and then in July it shut down completely. Had Aaron, our local pool guy at Menai come out check the unit and confirmed it was not the independent water pump and that we would need to get Evoheat to take a look at the heat pump as its pressure reading was either low or misreading. This first contact with Evoheat was back in July via their warranty process. Heard nothing after that for weeks (Evoheat assumed I did not want anyone to fix the unit due to Covid restrictions). After following up with them, there were 3 separate attempts to repair and re-gas the unit over Aug/Sep via their service network. Each attempt failed to fix the unit or resulted in the same failure re-occurring. Evoheat agreed to replace the faulty component, but did not have any parts in Australia. Therefore had to wait for the factory to make it, and then air freight it. 6 weeks. ETA was delayed twice and finally arrived sometime late November, but I only learnt this after to having to follow up with Evoheat again to find out what was happening. Miraculously the part had turned up that very day. Finally, their agent arrived to install the part on Dec 1st. But the unit failed within 24 hours with a high pressure error. Had the agent and his boss come out again the next day (Dec 3rd) to diagnose what was happening. They determined another part (a switch) was faulty and needed replacing. No problem apparently to get another one and replace it. Easy. Should have it in the truck. Three weeks later Christmas has arrived and still no sign of the part or anyone to fix it despite two follow up calls since Dec 3rd. I sent an email update to Evoheat’s Service Manager and General Manager yesterday who has asked to be kept in the loop back in November. Still no response. Have now been without the use of an expensive / top-shelf bit of gear (cost over A$9K) for over 6 months due to a confirmed manufacturing fault. They also refused to offer a replacement unit during the time its taken to sort out a failed repair or offer a replacement unit to remedy this. At the very least I would expect Evoheat as a supplier to commercial facilities to have parts readily available or be able to obtain a part from a new unit and replace it, or simply replace whole the unit to resolve the issue.Purchased in .
Recently installed to heat indoor 40k litre pool in Hobart. So far works beautifully, not as noisy as expected. Sitting at a lovely 29 degrees as set on control panel .

Needs to be 800mm off the wall.
This is an industrial unit and is a little noisy so best installed 10 Meters away from the sitting area of the pool for your comfort.

We have a large 180k lt pool requiring a small commercial heater. Evo heat pump had our pool up to temperature within a couple of days.
We love the industrial design plus it’s super quiet and energy efficient. We are also installing solar to support running costs. Certainly looking forward to swimming all year round. Evo service was impeccable from the getgo making sure we were happy and informed.
Highly recommend this company.

Thanks for your excellent feedback Steve! We're extremely glad you're happy with the unit and our service - enjoy!
Took a bit for the unit to get our pool to the temp needed but once it got there doesn't take much to bring it back,
Costly to run but worth it if you can afford.

Works very well at heating the pool, and in conjunction with our solar panels is quite efficient, although we haven't had any success connecting to the app/wifi. Hopefully it stands the test of time.

Works perfectly for our 5m x 3m pool. The biggest benefit was the vertical fan meaning we were able to fit in our confined space. It is easy to use and connects in perfectly with our other equipment, meaning we can swim year round.

Matthew from Jims pool care Chelmer installed our heater and did a fantastic job. The heater is quiet, hidden away with our other pool equipment and easy to operate.
I went with the DHP series due to the enclosed space and the difficulties with horizontal airflow and intake. It will take a while to heat the pool in winter but we really got this to extend our swimming season to 8 months instead of 4. Our pool sees a lot of shade and is relatively large (5mx8m).

We use this machine to heat our 2000 Litre Spa, previously we had a heater that had 3 elements in it. The first set of elements last over 2 years, second set 4 months, third set 2 months. The company would not guarantee their elements any more so we looked for an alternative and are happy to say we found the EvoHeat DHP-R Heat Pump. Since having the unit installed a few months ago we have never had a problem, the machine is efficient, quiet and trouble free. Highly recommend anyone who needs a pool or spa heater to look at the Evoheat range, there will be a model to suit and you will not regret having one installed.
Purchased in at Pool Gear for $5,970.
Once you initially get the pool to temperature, it works a treat. Very useful in the fringe seasons where the weather is warming up, which allows for a pleasant swimming temperature. The JBox is a must as it allows the pool filter to which on and off whenever the heater needs to run. The fan is on top of the unit which allows it to be installed almost anywhere.

Replaced what I thought was a great pool heater with something ten times better!
The quality of the unit is really outstanding, but it’s the service that backs it up that makes it the best possible value. Don’t settle for anything but the best!
Excellent unit. Very powerful, quiet and fast heating of pool. Very nice stainless appearance. Great looking product and easy to use, super quiet .
Now ready for the sunny days to enjoy a comfortable swim ..
The wifi app makes it convenient to control the heater from the palm of your hand.

Powerful machine. Installed and turned on overnight and went from 18 degrees to 28 degrees for swimming the next day. Nice stainless steel design, has a silent mode that can be on a timer. J Box allows pool pump to work for chlorinator and heat pump independently so as to avoid excess chlorination (i.e. chlorinator stops after pool filtration run time). Wifi set up is easy. This system allows all year swimming. Installation was fantastic and ran smoothly.

What is the j box and do i need it?
Hi Margie,
The Jbox is a device that allows you Evo Pool Heater to make use of the existing water pump utilised by your chlorinator - without impacting your chlorination time, or the chemical balance of your pool....
