Does fabfol have dha in the prenatal vitamin?
Dear xxRaffie, thanks for your question regarding our FABFOL Preconception, Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Tablets product. FABFOL does not contain DHA however, FABFOL does contain other important vitamins and minerals that should be taken before you conceive and whilst you are pregnant and breastfeeding. FABFOL helps ensure that your baby has the best start to life and that you maintain energy and vitality before, during and after pregnancy.
Ideally, FABFOL should be taken at least one month prior to becoming pregnant as it contains Folic acid (Vitamin B9) which is required by your body to ensure that normal growth and development of your baby occurs. In clinical trials, folic acid taken before and during pregnancy has been shown to reduce the risk of having a child with neural tube defects, such as spina bifida.
Women should take folic acid for at least one month prior to conception and at least the first trimester to minimise the risks of a neural tube defect occurring. Folic acid remains important for your baby after the first trimester but for different reasons. Folic acid is required for normal growth and development and during the second and third trimester when your baby has an enormous growth spurt. This is also the time when your baby’s mental development and cognitive function are established.
FABFOL also contains the essential minerals: iron, iodine, magnesium and zinc, and important vitamins: folic acid (B9), other B group vitamins, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin D3 to support you and the healthy development of your growing baby.

Dear Courtneyvoss8,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding our FABFOL product.
Our FABFOL product contains the important vitamins and minerals that should be taken before you conceive and whilst you are pregnant and breastfeeding. FABFOL helps ensure your baby has the best start to life and you maintain energy and vitality before, during and after pregnancy.
FABFOL contains the essential minerals: iron, iodine, magnesium and zinc, and important vitamins: folic acid (B9), other B group vitamins, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin D3.
While FABFOL is not indicated for treating nausea/morning sickness it is gentle on the stomach. This is because FABFOL contains an organic chelated iron form where the iron is bound or chelated to amino acids (proteins found naturally in the body) which are easily digested and absorbed. This should mean that there is less iron left over to cause gastric symptoms such as constipation or nausea.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any other queries regarding our products.
