This machine is trouble. It tangles clothes, leaves lint on all dark items, is frequently unbalanced and makes loud cluncking noises often,
After using for only 2 1/2 years it died. I'm told it is a control panel failure.
Not worth repairing so it's going out for hard garbage collection.
I'm looking forward to getting a new one.

Mine just broke. So happy. Time to buy a new one. Clothes came out dirtier than went in. Sheets in knots. always unbalanced, black stuff just impossible to come out clean, went through about every washing detergent on the market to find something that wouldn't leave residue, gave up on the HE feature years ago - never washes properly, takes ages, have resorted to doing many smaller loads - just so things will clean properly and if you want to wash a blanket or doona, be prepared to spend the whole afternoon at home tending to the thing. White Trash. Pure and simple.

A friend recommended this machine - bad advice!
Constant lint marks on clothes, goes out of balance a lot, with error alerts, long cycles (though not as long as a front loader)
Have been waiting for it to die for years and will buy something totally different next time

After resetting this stupid washing machine about 15 due 'out of balance' issues, I'm ready to smash it into 100 pieces. It has now taken almost 3 hours to get through 1 load and it's still not finished. There is always lint over the dark clothes which makes brand new clothes look like they need to be thrown out. I cannot stress how bad this machine is. No one has time to rebalance a load of washing 15 times during one wash in 2017! I will make sure I never purchase another product from Fishe & Paykal. The response I had from them when dining the service line was, 'well why did you buy it?' I didn't read the reviews on here first but the sales guy gave it a glowing review at Domayne.

Regret ever buying this rubbish Fisher Paykel product. Wash cycle is way too long. The washing machine goes out of balance frequently, rocks and makes loud banging noises. The clothes are all tangled and knotted in a pile when the wash is finished. Clothes, especially black, come out covered in lint requiring two rinses or into the dryer for them to be clean. Total waste of my time and money.

Unbalanced from start. had to get up several times a wash to reset. Left marks on clothing. Pump failed. Seals failed. Board failed then finally main bearing gone.

This machine should have been recalled and companies should not be able to get away with selling or not replacing a model that clearly has so many design faults.

This machine is a nightmare. Takes so long even on the shortest cycle. But the balance issues!!!! Can go out of balance twenty times in one load. Occasionally I forget and put a load of washing on then go out. Get home a few hours later and it has stopped itself and started the alert beep. Which it will do forever until you move the load around. The load doesn't actually have to be unbalanced it's just random. Piece of crap.

It's all been said: wrecks clothes, solenoid issues, balance issues, lint issues. Did everything as per the manual and it is dead after 4 years. Not worth fixing I would say. Big waste of money - Fisher and Pykle: I have bought many of your products over the years but this is the final straw. This unit should have been a recall and replacement. You have lost a customer for good. Going to get a SpeedQueen after this experience.

The machine has needed regular visits from the service guys, overs it's short lifespan, as well as being a very quirky machine, in that i could never figure out what it was doing at any given wash (ie wash levels and temperatures changing frequently). There isn't much more I can add, that hasn't already been eloquently said by many others who also had the misfortune of being lumbered with such a piece of absolute junk.

As soon as I bought it I hated it as it didn't wash properly. All fluff stuff stacked to all over clothes and the clothes looked was never washed. After four years it stopped working at all as previous LG was working for 11 years and I regret I have changed it. Just waste of money to buy Fisher & Paykel. Also I had problem with this company with dishwasher before. So I am questioning if they can make any good stuff?

I have all these problems mentioned in these comments scums, knocking noise, stopping million times during washing. Very loud. Nwver buy F&P useless never buy unbelievable. Every weekend its a big drama at iur household. Someobe has to stand near the machine. Might as well handwash. My $800 is dow the drain

We have had this machine for eight years approx and use it a lot with six people in the house. Its constantly being used with four kids on the go. Never missed a beat and still very strong. It has many features and I highly recommend it. We had an Aristan before that and it was a disaster.....

As Angela, I too have had technician out, in my case 3 times in 5 years. He adjusted and added cycles I believe, cleaned bowl on two occasions despite saying bowl was clean so that was not the cause of black marks on any pale item especially sheets, and white marks on dark items. Dealing with Fisher&Paykel has been to absolutely no avail involving long waiting time on phone and no returned phone calls with follow up. Word of mouth re no longer recommending will now be my only solution. Unfortunate, as on purchasing I was hoping for a product that resulted in clean clothes!

From the beginning we have to call service because the clothes come out with black marks, we use the detergent recommend by then no softener. I have have dismantle the washing machine clean the drum inside out and still white clothes come out with black marks, the machine doesn't got a filter and I think that's the problem. We had it for 3 years and I'm going to get rid of it and buy another but not fisher n paykel.

One small word that's driving me spare: LINT. I've had this machine 7 years, and for 7 years I've been swearing and cursing every time I have to re-wash scummy loads - which is way too often. I would never buy this machine again in a million years. I regularly put it through the cleaning cycle and it still leaves scum over everything. What a waste of space. Time for a new machine - and a different brand.

I've had this machine 4.5 years now. I read reviews prior to purchase and I wish I had listened to those who recommended finding something else. The water-saving features were very appealing to me. But as others have found, SO much lint is left on clothes after washing - the so-called "self-cleaning lint filter" appears to be no lint filter at all. The low agitator doesn't seem to do the job to get things clean. I washed my sheets with a hot sheets wash, detergent, detergent booster, a soak and a fast spin after my toddler had a small nappy leak, and when they came out there were still dirty marks on them. The sheets were in the machine for around 3 hours. This machine only has one job to do, and it does it poorly.
