Most pathetic service we ever recieved from a company.
Technician came out 3 times in December. The Dishwasher is still not fixed. No one called us to keep is updated. Empty promises. Not a accountable or credible company. Hopefully someone will sort this out soon.

F & P Pathetic uncaring service
We have an F&P double dish draw. It has been pretty reliable so far. The top draw started to have an error message mid wash - U6. The bottom draw worked perfectly. It took 2 weeks to get a service appointment after being cut off on the phone twice. They came this morning and replaced a water valve but confirmed the bottom draw was in perfect working order. $180 later, valve replaced and told all good. Load the dish draw tonight after dinner and go to turn on. No power to either draw. I think the service tech must have turned off at the power p...Read more
oint. No it is on. We connect to another power source. Still no power. I call F and P after hours number. Eventually a vey unhelpful and non caring Leah tells me the earliest appointment to attend is Monday next week. We have Christmas at our home this weekend and cannot be without a dishwasher. Surely we would be a priority as it was working before they attended. I was put on hold abruptly for 12 minutes, and then had another staff member say that there would be no refund and I had to have a booking for the new problem. They would try for tomorrow but no guarantee. I now have to take a second day off work, have no dishwasher at all for the Christmas party, and if I am lucky I might not have to pay for them to fix their own mistake. Shame shame shame on you F&P. And a little empathy and customer service training would not go astray. Also I do expect a refund for your technician mistake that has cost me. Very unhappy.
Purchased for $1,400.00.

Fisher & Paykel Double Drawer Dishwasher handy but disappointing.
I thought we were buying top of the range, but we had several call out over 5 years, one of which we thought should have been under warranty. Seals kept going wrong and generally there seemed to be lots of things that could go wrong. I have written to Fisher & Paykel twice but have not received a reply. Quite disappointing. We finally decided not to make a final repair, and bought a Miele instead.

Love the Dishdrawer
Best design ever and so easy to use. Love the ease of stacking my dishwasher and being able to use the top and bottom drawer separately . I also love how it cleans my dishes. It has some great programs but I like the express as it only runs for 30 mins I find the other programs normal heavy etc run too long!! Would definitely buy another one. Best customer service finally an electric company that helps the customer thank you fisher and paykel.

Convenience 5 starts, quality of wash 2 stars, durability 2 stars
The convenience of two separate draws is what drew me this washer. It is certainly a big plus in a busy kitchen. But there isn't much point in having convenience if the wash isn't that great. The filters are a real pain to clean. Cutlery rarely comes out perfect, and glasses depend don't clean real well on the perimeter of the draw. The handles break off easy. I have glued them back down about 5 times with Araldite.

Good not perfect
Have had damage to the outside of some saucepans, Also need to wash off excessive food on plates etc. Enjoy that I can just fill one draw. After 3 years to front handle on the top draw has broken off, this was very disappointing especially considering the replacement cost and postage.

Great to use, could never go back to a single door dishwasher
I love the double dish drawer, it suits me so well, easy to use, and very practical.
The design of the double drawer, the height and compartment sizes are excellent.
The only problem I have found is that the modern dinnerware are larger and I had to buy new dinner ware as my square white plates were too large for the FP dish drawer :(
Sometimes I only have enough for one drawer, so there is no wasted water and I like to have the choice.
The fast cycle cleans and dries my dishes perfectly.

Cant live with out my dishwaher
I have had my dishwasher for over 10 years and its has been the best dishwasher it clean and drys very well even though now is a little noisy it doesnt bother me, Nothing has ever gone wrong with it, and the best feature is the eco water saver. I have a large family when they all come to dinner and using the dishwasher save so much time.

Excellent piece of equipment
Excellent piece of equipment! Top one used on daily bases, but hardly used the bottom one. Simple controls outside the door. Do not be ignorant and put dishes with food in it, look after your machine and the result will be always good! I had one for 10 years without any problem and after I moved house and came across with a Miele which is good too, but a single drawer and controls inside door.

2nd Dish Drawer and NEVER again
Fisher and Paykel - this has to be the worst dishwasher I have ever come across and not once but twice! I have personally never purchased one myself but was stuck with them when they were installed in homes that I purchased. In both cases they have not cleaned the dishes effectively at all. We have to practically hand wash everything before it goes into the machine which obviously defeats the purpose of having one in the first place. Don't buy Fisher and Paykel - buy Bosch. Chalk and cheese by way of quality and ability to clean.

Great dishwasher
We have had this dishwasher for 5 years now and only problem we had was in the first 6 mths when the circuit board went. It was under warranty so we rang the service department and they sent a technician to fix it, he knew exactly what had gone as it was a common fault with this model. since then it has run like clock work. We use it every day and love having the second draw. we never run out of clean cutlery and glasses anymore.

Junk
First one died after about 18 months with an electronic fault and a horrible burning smell.and replaced under warranty. Second one just over 2 years old stators in motors failed taking out housing in top unit and not far from trashing housing in bottom unit $600+ repair bill. ...2 units in under 4 years.

Really good. It has just been installed with a new rotor so it's much quiet now. The bad thing about
Cleans really good and the dry is not too bad. But the shame thing is the plastic stuff doesn't dry as good as the others. For example our lunchboxes but never mind but it's still really good and I would highly recommend it. Also the feature I like is independent drawers so you can run one at a different time or at the same time.

Expected more for the price
We are throwing ours out today, can't afford to keep replacing parts. The printed main board has been replaced twice (once under warranty) The lower printed board was replaced twice, both times due to faulty lid motors that allowed water to spill over the drawers. Lower pump was seized and replaced. Must agree with other comments relating to poor cleaning performance, we have always hot rinsed every item to ensure they come out clean.

Nearly 4yrs Later - Still Perfect
We've owned this DishDrawer, a double model for nearly 4 years. Aside from one of the drain filters coming apart (F&P offered a free replacement), there is no trouble.
If you use the correct cycles for your dishes, no matter how dirty, they'll come clean - THERE IS NO RINSING REQUIRED. This is using regular Finish Powder, and occaisionally tablets (for very dirty loads).
If people here stopped using Fast-Eco Cycles, which don't wash for long enough, or hot enough, they might not have a problem.
Use the Delicates or Heavy Cycle for all...Read more
your loads, and you'll be impressed (These cycles have triple-rinses after the wash, and get much hotter and wash for longer than the other cycles. The machines computer always reduces the washing time on other cycles, for no apparent reason). Our machines are used almost daily in a house of 4, and haven't failed to impress yet. The machine holds a ton, if you're game to stack it to the gills, and gets it all clean, no matter what.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible Dishdrawer; even worse service
We had a Dishdrawer diswasher for 6 years. Installed new when we redid the kitchen. It is the most unreliable applicance I have ever owned. In 6 years, it had to be repaired 5 times. F&P customer service was appallingly bad-I was told I couldn't speak to anyone-I had to email my concerns and wait for a response. Well, guess what, no response at all. They would only speak to me if I wanted to book a repair!! Had it fixed each time it broke down by F&P approved repairers-they all told me these machines are hopeless and that they have to fix them ...Read more
all the time. Looks good, but quality is just a joke. Needless to say, when I bought new appliances, they weren't F&P. I noticed today there's a story in the paper that they were fined $400,000 for misleading consumers-so glad they got their comeuppance!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unreliable
I would not recommend this product at all .. This dishwasher was pre-existing with our house purchase and is one of the most problematic dishwashers I have experienced. The unit constantly floods and causes circuit failures. We have had the FP service technician out 4 times in 5 years. On a few occasions we were advised the malfunctions were our fault .. I would like to point out that I maintained the dishwasher and always rinsed off plates and cutlery before I put them in. On the 1st service call the technician gave me a run down of how to car...Read more
e for the product .. Ie powder only (not cheap powder), clean the bottom out and remove and clean the filter.. Do not overload or stack above the drawer level and use limited powder only .. This is quite a lot of effort to keep a product running, regardless I was mindful of these instructions. However the product kept flooding .. Today was the last straw .. Once again the unit flooded and the FP technician was extremely rude and advised it was Fisher and Paykels issue and not his !! We were told it was going to cost a minimum of $450 to fix the unit after I have already spent a total of $500 previously on repairs. The rotor was recalled and we were not advised .. They have offered for us to pay an upgrade of $1045.00 for the next model ?? Forget it !!! The product is 7yrs old but we experienced issues from year 3..My advice .. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME .. Nothing F1 error message .. Causes circuit failures, high maintainence, powder only, bad service from last technicianSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Electronics failure in top drawer....keeps cycling through various wash selections & won't stop at e
I have had the DD60DCX6 for just over 3 years & it operated OK but nowhere near as good as our previous dishwasher. Just recently the top drawer of the dishwasher electronics went haywire & is continually rotating through various wash cycles and won't stop at end of a cycle. The display at times shows hyrogliphics but comes good after a while. I now have to keep top drawer open (otherwise it starts cycling through wash cycles of it's own accord) so I can at least use the bottom drawer. I am very dissappointed to say the least and from what I ca...Read more
n gather this is a frequent problem. If F&P stand by the quaility and have faith in their product the 2 year warranty should be at least 5 years. I liked the 2 drawer washing option and it was on this basis that the F&P 2 drawer dishwasher was purchased It didn't wash anywhere as good as previous dishwasher which was trouble free for over 10 yrsSimilar opinion?
