I no longer have any confidence in F & P

published

Have always bought F & P but this latest dud purchase has really annoyed me. We love having the dishdrawer but this model is crappy. I knew as soon as we put it in that it wouldn't last. Unlike the earlier model this one has the electronic panel only on one drawer so the bottom drawer always felt flimsy from the word go and sure enough has not lasted much more than three years and its cracked in 4 places....pretty crappy to say the least. SO they no longer have my support.

Purchased in May 2021 at David Jones Online Store for $1,400.00.

Quiet, Reliable and User Friendly!

I love my Dishdrawer dishwasher!
It's so easy to load and washes well.
I do rinse everything I put into it first though, as this avoids clogged filters and promotes the longevity of the machine!
I have become masterful at stacking the dishwasher to minimise washes and always use the 49 minute cycle. Keeping up the rinse aid ensures quick drying and sparkling dishes every time!
Mine has been running like a dream for 7 years.
I love that I do not have to bend to load the top drawer, its half load and eco cycle option and very quiet operation.
Well worth the additional price over conventional dishwashers and highly recommended!

Dont buy one!

published

We have had 3 double dish drawers in the past and they were wonderful. Have just replaced a 2 year old Whirlpool which was still working - We gave it away, I am on the verge of asking for it back. The new model is shocking, doesnt wash things properly unless I scrub them before putting in the dishwasher. Doesnt dry properly and the fan runs for 2 hours after finishing a cycle unless you manually turn it off. They seem to have changed the configuration of the draw and I cant get large items in. Can only put plates on one side of the draw. My poor husband hears how much I hate this machine every time I use it. A total waste of money, and more expensive than other machines........

Love my dishdrawer.

My last F&P dishdrawer packed it in after 10 years. Debated whether to get another one. After a lot of research decided to get the stainless steel dishdrawer. Couldn't be happier very quiet, washes everything very clean and dries amazingly even plastics, which my other old one didn't. Thoroughly recommend.

It only has one job and doesnt do it well.

We recently bought the DD60DAW8 dish drawer, and want a waste of money. This machine is complete junk, it doesn't wash well, you can only stack plates in every 2nd spot or they will not be clean. The washers are in the bottom so it has gravity working against it, but more often than not plates come out like they were never even wet.
I don't bother using it anymore as I have to rewash 1/2 the items in it anyway.
The wash arms are easily fouled by items loaded, there is only a few mm clearance and there is no warning alarm if that happens so you need to check they can spin freely every time after loading otherwise you will waste the energy and consumables from another bad wash.

DD60DAW8

Has anybody added a finer filter inside the filter unit, as the big holes in the mesh inside always allow scraps of food into the pump and the pump stops working. I dont understand why the mesh around the sides of the filter are so fine and the mesh inside it is so open.

so I have assumed when planning, that y washing machine is a certain depth. but when installed the draining pipe extends the depth by around 30mm. As my laundry it to sit behind sliding doors I have not accounted for this. is there a side outlet for the pipe. It is a top loader?

I have no instructions on how to run both draws at the same time, is there any where I can get instructions on how to operate both draws at once.

This is not adequately addressed in the book. There are only buttons on the top drawer. Press the first button so the upper drawer lights up. then program how you want that one to run, then >. The press the first button again so the lower drawer is lit, then program that one, then >. I'm guessing that the model has changed. Maybe older models had buttons on both drawers. Good luck!
