Hi my 1st and 7th light come on and starts beeping, anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Pressure sensor out of range.
either tube blocked or leaking air/ water,
or controller faulty.
How to replace external water hose?
where is the lint filter in a top loader Fisher & Paykel GW712?
Gw712 model goes out of balance when half way through spinning wash clanging and banging till it stops. Any ideas?
Sounds like the washing is unbalanced.
Or u have a heavy item in the machine
That happens to me if I put the bath mat in by itself, as it gets very heavy when wet, or if I don't put it at the bottom with other items on top.
Hi, our machine has been working beautifully for a long time, but now on the autofill setting, it floods the laundry...will keep flooding until it is turned off. If I set it to the High/Med setting, it didn't flood. However, I have just noticed that it too appears to continue filling and now needs to be on the medium setting. Can you please let me know what the problem is likely to be and whether we can fix it ourselves?
It could be the pressure transducer incorporated in the main control board (controller). A small clear plastic hose connects to it. The controller is easy to replace but could be an expensive guess.
I'm getting the exact same issue... have pulled machine apart, checked pressure sensor hose (all clear), removed drum, cleaned everything, removed any debris from bottom where the intake for the press...
Read moreure sensor is, put it all back together, and still have same issue. There was a small amount of water in the bottom after removing the drum, but not much. We have to select the medium option and it fills to within an inch of the high water mark. Selecting anything higher causes the machine to continuously fill and flood. Have also checked the water inlet valves for debris and electric continuous loop - both are fine. Anything specific I can do on the control board to see if that's the cause?Hi my GW712 has been sitting in storage for a few years now. Just got it back out to use.
When starting a wash, the barrel spins as per normal, but no water enters. The taps are attached correctly and the water is on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My Guess is maybe it's a problem with the Water Inlet valves. If it isn't then you may need to get the machine looked at.
Before spending any money, check that the water filters are clean.
There is a filter on the tap end of the hoses as well as on the inlets to the valves which are in the machine.
Check/confirm that they are not blocked by dirt.
Why does my machine keep stopping when ringing cycle...it's like as if unbalanced...but it's fine...I move clothes around and it continues on n on! Any ideas?
This happens to me if I put something in that becomes quite heavy when wet, such as my bath mat. it always unbalances my Machine.
Which way around are the hot and cold taps at the back of the machine?
As you look at the back cold is on the right Hot is on the left. I actually realised in full sunlight there is a raised symbol marking it as such.
Could you please tell me the manufacturing date of Unit Serial no. AUT580744 product 92131A-NZ. This is now not completing a cycle, stopping at the rinse/spin stage, and beeping. After emptying of clothes and coming back the next day it was able to pump out and partial spin but unable to repeat with a faint hot plastic? smell. Any thoughts?

Read moree inner drum or run some maintenance cleaning cycles to break down the build up and have it flushed away through the drainpipe.Question for F&P....Can you tell me the build date for my GW712AU - Product Code 93200A - Serial REN568758? Also can you confirm my cycle count; I calculate 8*256=2048 cycles. I have calculated this by entering Diagnostic Mode Level 10 and observing the 5th cycle light from the left illuminated, therefore binary value 8 times 256 to get a 16 bit value. Note there was no low binary value to add.
Serial number REN568758 was manufactured 10th May 2006 - cycle count sounds correct for a machine of this age - approx. 3 to 4 loads a week
