We've had this for a while and its been very reliable.We have a large family and constantly have a great deal of food and drinks in there.

The fridge is very roomy and caters to our whole family's need (5 people) without an issue. We don't find an issue with some areas being too cold but rather it is pretty constant.

Basically, very roomy and haven't had any issues.

constantly having issues. it freezes up and then gets very noisey. never had a fridge that i couldnt rely on...but this is one.

i have to take everything out, clear the ice from around the fan outlet. then it works as it should for a few weeks, before the problem reoccurs.

This fridge is unfortunately as noisy as can be. The motor has a bell like sound that reminds me of an old fashioned alarm clock. This certainly isn't suitable for open space living where there noise will distract you at times of relaxation. Tried voicing my concerns to Fisher & Paykel though they've shown no interest in resolving the problem. I'd recommend that you consider other options before purchasing this appliance.

Upgraded to this fridge from an older perfectly working top freezer Samsung after we moved into a house with a space for a side by side fridge/freezer.

No regrets! Cools correctly enough, and compartments are all solid but easy enough to get in and out to clean up. Very quiet too.

Plenty of space with good space organisation, especially for fruit and vegetables. I think the biggest "problem" we've had is working out how best to store spring onions as the drawers are just a little too small to get them straight.

We have had this fridge about 3 months, very happy so far, cools and freezes better than good, possibly a bit too frozen at times in the freezer, lots of space and much easier to find things with the 2 doors and lots of drawer space. It sits out a bit larger than our fridge space so check measurements first but cant fault it at this stage!

Great temperature and very easy to clean. No noise.. only downfall is that it's quite small for a family of four, would need something much bigger if the family were to grow. Overall we have had no issues with the fridge so anyone needing a smallish fridge and freezer then this is great

I have had two of this model since 2016. The first one was replaced by Fisher and Paykel after the technician coming out several times due to the ice problem. The second fridge did exactly the same thing - ice forming on the upper shelves and door shelves and the vent holes at the back iced up. When I called customer service in relation to the second fridge I was told they had a "fix" for the problem. I only go for Fisher & Paykel when it comes to fridge. I had a smaller one which is still working very well after more than 7 years and previously I had another one which lasted me more than 11 years.

The reason for buying this new one was because I needed a bigger space to store more frozen food and this fridge is brilliant with the generous storage space. Its extremely quiet and easy to clean and I love the look of the matt finish and it's resistant to fingerprints.

I looked at so many fridges and finally decided to go for RX628DX1. The layout is quite stunning, perfect size and easy to clean. I really enjoy the drawers at the bottom (one explicitly for the kid) and ample shelving/space for milk, wine and juice bottles in the door. The best thing is, I find it very quiet unlike our previous refrigerators who made loads of noise. It keeps the temperature constant too. I am really enjoying this new addition to the family. Highly recommend this flawless refrigerator to everyone looking out to buy a new fridge! Go for it...

I bought a Bosch side by side fridge first .Very disappointed . It was noisy and screaming since the first day . After returning Bosch, I bought this F&P which was actually produced by Haier . It is cheaper and quieter . No issue so far. Happy with it .

We are onto our second unit of this model as F&P recently replaced our original unit after 6 months of ongoing service calls. Set at 1 degree, the fridge would not reach a safe food temperature (~4 degrees), below the top shelf.
After finding that our food items were perishing within a few days, we tested with several food thermometers in a bottle of water, and despite the external display reading 2 degrees, the food thermometers read an average range of 7-11 degrees. I looked at hundreds of Fridges and this was by far the most handsome one, smooth lines, perfect size, easy to clean. I guess the only criticism is that the door doesn't open as wide as other Fridges, but it works for me. I'm really happy with the layout, the stylish interior and the ease of keeping it clean. It keeps everything the temperature is should so far, it's fairly quiet, and it's taller rather than fatter. Did I mention how good it looks? I love it.

Was very happy with this fridge until we ran into an issue that has already been described in other reviews where the freezer fan frosts up. We contacted F&P and they removed the ice from the fan - while, as also mentioned in other reviews - the technician blamed us for leaving the door open too often (which we don't).

2 months after - EXACT same problem and F&P insist on the same tech (who failed to leave notes on the first call) returning to basically do the same thing. At this rate, we will be calling them every 2 x months to repair our f...

We have had this fridge for about 18 months now and is one of the best fridges we have owned, it is very quiet, holds 4 deg constant in the fridge compartment and -18 deg in the freezer and these temperatures were set right from the start. Love it, would buy another.

Have had unit since new. Started having issues with freezer not defrosting.
1) F & P phone support suggested switching off for 2 days at a time. This did not fix it.
2) F & P phone support suggested there was an issue with the door seals - told me to check seals were clean.
3) F & P Technician came out but could not find what was causing error - suggested we were opening freezer door to often. Did not use freezer - still frosted up.
4) F & P Technician (another one) attended and replaced main circuit board. -still frosted up.
5) F & P have now contacted us and said they would credit the purchase against another unit. Looking at Samsung.

Freezer constantly ices up, fridge only cools to 5 deg at lowest setting. Fan at back of freezer ices until it cannot turn. I am cleaning out ice every 6 weeks in the 1 year old model. Fixit man is coming for second visit- after stating user error last time. He appeared to have no idea of reason for the issue and blamed my kids for opening it up to much (they are not allowed near it). Not happy at all and will be seeking a refund or replacement of a different brand.

September 17th 2018 Update: Two within 18 months

Usual freezing up issues...

We bought a side by side F&P fridge model RX628DX1 on October 31 2015, and about three weeks later, we noticed that the top gap, between the doors, was only 3 mm, compared to the 29 mm, at the bottom. We notified F&P and on December 11 the technician came and said it was a matter of adjusting the level and tightening the loose hinge. Before he left we noticed the top right hand side door had a slack in its top hinge and pointed it out to him and his answer was: It is normal, some fridge do have it. Recently purchased side by side fridge from the good guys very friendly and helpful staff . The fridge very quiet and keeps perfect temp I have had fisher and paykel fridges before and never had a problem highly recommend .excellent size for our family of four sometimes 6 plenty of room in both the fridge and freezer

Oh in the fridges defence, purchased new last week, after 3 days it wasn't cooling in the fridge and it over freezed in the freezer.
being end of year the fridge was returned and I was given a different brand off the floor.
found out later that it had been transported laying down!

Bought this fridge/freezer in June - we live in the tropics - a month after installing build up of ice in freezer started. F&P send technician out, replaced a part - problem continued. I reported again, technician came out and couldn't find any problem. He did say that F&P were aware of a problem with this model. F&P replaced my fridge/freezer with another (exact model) and am now having same problem - freezer icing up. F&P have offered to give m a store credit. I would NOT recommend this F&P model.

I bought this fridge in December when they were just released and I have had problems from the beginning. The freezer is not defrosting properly and ice builds up on the shelves and blocking the vents. We have defrosted it manually twice now but the problem persists. It has become so bad that the internal fan is hitting the ice and makes a very loud banging noise, it does this at regular intervals day and night, it is so loud it wakes us up at night.
I have contact Fisher Paykel numerous times since January and their customer service is appal...
