Great!
Bought this washing machine 4 months ago. It is fantastic. I used my old housemates one for 4 years before moving and getting my own. The clothes clean well. They don’t have lint all over them and it is efficient. This model is narrower than the one I had used previously but it is taller, so has the same room. It’s quiet too.

Decent Product
Decent product, a bit noisy but washes perfectly with multiple functions to chose from..spin functions are useful but bigger loads require to be spinned twice .. have had it for a few years and no issues so far, and no damage to cloths till now and removes stains pretty well!!

I love this washer
This is a fantastic washing machine. It washes excellent and never have an lint on clothes. Spins perfect also. I love the difference wash programs and also the auto water setting so never waste water. The hand wash cycle is very gentle which i love and my old one was 18 years old and still going. But wanted to upgrade. An excellent washing machine.

Reasonable job
It's very easy to use and quiet enough if I close the laundry door. It washes well. A couple of things that I don't like is if I open it during rinse cycle it seems to stop that cycle and reset it to move onto the next. Also clothes don't come out as fragrant as some front loaders I've tried. I was sold on it as the sales person said it had less moving parts so less prone to issues, and agitator machines apparently are more durable than front laders

Perfect Washer
I just love my Fisher and Paykel top loader. The loader has a smart function where you save your wash setting so next time you just have to click a button. The machine is well priced and is great value for money. It clicks all the boxes and I highly recommend this to you anyone in the market for a large top loader.

Happy so far....
This machine replaced a front loader that we paid $1700 for in 2010 based on its alleged German quality engineering. It was a great disappointment from day one and when it finally died in mid December 2017 we decided to replace it with a top loader as we had had a good experience with a top loader previously
Some brief research turned up the F/P WA8560G1 for what seemed reasonable money, so far we are not disappointed, it is intuitive, quiet, fast and does a far better job of cleaning all varieties of our washing than the Front loader ever achieved.
The only disappointment, unfortunately for us the price has since dropped a further 9.4% in the last month......

Happy with my new washing machine.
The first washing machine which was delivered was faulty and flooded my laundry the first time I turned it on. The service man who came wanted to test it I told him no as I did not want my laundry flooded again. I told him he could take it away and test it. He left without the machine and reported I would not let him test it. Luckily The company I bought it through was understanding and replaced it. Very happy with this one, it washes very well and spins the clothes almost dry, I also like how it decides the water level automatically. Good washing machine however not impressed with Fisher & Paykel service department hopefully I won't need to deal with them again, kind of makes me think twice about buying anything else by this brand.

Great family washing machine
Great compact unit. It fits much more nicely into our small laundry area - so would also be great for small units or flats.
Good for families. Really intuitive options but also great options that my wife uses for other special items.
A really great feature is the delay start, allowing you to load so it starts just before you arrive home - may help the shift worker out.
Also doesn't have annoying reminder beep every 5min after it's finished - just one loud set of beeps and that's it.
Really clear set up instructions for installation and levelling - they even provide a small spirit level.
Short cycle times due to high spin speed.

Fisher & paykel Aquasmart washer
Washes so clean, isn't noisy, doesn't wear our clothes out luv the digital display screen which is very easy to follow. It tells you when to do a bowl wash (every 100 washes). Lifestyle menu is great too for washing sports clothes even shoes ! Great product which I will definitely buy another when the time comes to replace this.

An absolute nightmare from day 1
I have used F and P for the last 30 years or so and loved them.
Cannot say the same about this one. Faulty from day 1. An absolute nightmare. Says it is Full all the time even after following the manual guidelines on how to load and maximum items etc.
Iam changing to Westinghouse.

Water use is great saving
This washing machine maintains a good water rate and its very quiet. Alot of space to put clothes in and as its a big washing machine. The washing machine is very heavy and needs to be looked after carefully. Although it is pricey however it is worth it. Comes with warranty and fisher and paykel has never made me disappointed before.

My washer smells. Technician said not to use softener. I never have. Suggested I use 1ltr vinegar
My washer smells. Technician said not to use a softener. I never use a softener. He suggested that I use less washing powder in future. He suggested that I use 1ltr of vinegar and run the washer on 'empty' on hot water, heavy and high water level. I did all of this and it lasted for that wash - no smell. I then did a hand wash and put it through 'spin' only. SMELL again. What's going on. I cannot go on using a hot wash & vinegar every wash.

Not good.
I'm surprised that people had good reviews. Maybe I'm the unlucky one. We had it 3 weeks and had to go through warranty, ended up needing so much replaced that we complained and got a new one, now after 2 days and maybe 6 loads of laundry, were getting lid lock issues. I'm so disappointed, F&P use to be amazing but now it's just a joke, their claims policy is a joke, they clearly don't care about the consumer.

Wonderful Machine- very Happy
This machine is so efficient, washes with great results, has a excellent choice of wash options and you can even adjust those settings to suit you best. Its easy to see where the load is up to with the count down timer and you can add extras after cycle has begun. You can also Opt to delay start to proceed when you want the load to be done.
After struggling with a 6kg washer, the large capacity in this machine is wonderful. I can wash quilts and blankets with no drama's.I was so surprise to see if fit in the same gap as my 6kg, as although th...Read more

My Best Ever Washer.
Absolutely love this washer. It is very quiet, fast and washes and rinses well. Choices for choosing wash cycles are great. My favorite features are auto water level and controlled cold water temperature. I am in my 70's so I have had a number of washers in that time and this is the best I have had and just happened to follow my worst !

Decent washer for the price
It is a tall and large machine that cleans clothes fast and well. It is fairly quiet unlike my old noisy front loader from Bosch. I like the soft top lid mechanism. Plus the fact that it spins around really fast at 1000rpm spin speed to make clothes clean and much drier in no time! Great countdown system so I even know when cycle will end unlike my old Bosch where I had to manually watch the clock. Although washing does seem quite crumpled (possibly more rotation as it is much drier) so clothes needs to be ironed afterwards whereas in my front ...Read more
loader Bosch I could sometimes get away with my business shirts just being shaken out at the end with no ironing :) Have had F&P dishdrawer and fridge which have both been fantastic. So this brand is highly recommended in our home.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great machine! No regrets
Before buying this machine, I had a hoover for 32 years! Due to reputation of Fisher & Pykel, was my main reason for buying the machine. I wash for two people. Fantastic machine, can't tell that machine is operating, washing comes very clean. Definitely recommend, my daughter-in-law bought one also.

Excellent Product - does the job
Our F&P SmartDrive, probably around 22 years old, started leaking (shaft seals?), so it was time to retire it. Installing the new machine, the addition of a small level was quite useful when it came to feet adjustment. Hookup was easy.
The machine is quieter than the previous and performs excellently.
I like the addition of the timer display showing washtime left, however this is probably 'de rigueur' for many products of this type these days. Control layout is just fine. The lid on the previous machine did not lock and sometimes with he...Read more

Washer 4 years old smart wash keeps going off balance any reasons obviously the clothes are bundled up but never used to do this does it routinely neighbour has same washer same age and hers has started doing same thing????
2 answers
Our F&P washing machine (WA8560G1) is now doing the same thing - now stops due to "out of balance" numerous times each load - I suspect the suspension rods may need replacing. Machine is not that old (out of warranty) and I would have thought the suspension rods should have lasted a little longer. With time off due to the current health crisis, I have some time to investigate and replace if necessary - replacement seems straight forward once new suspension rods are purchased.
It is problem apparently well known for it my neighbour got a technician and think he replaced 2 having same problem
