How to remove the lower front kick plate
3 answers
You should only remove the cover for the filter, which is a small plate not the whole kickplate.
A coin or screw driver will help remove.
I need to remove the whole plate as the
drain rubber hose has slipped inside the the machine.

For some garments, I'd hand wash them and use the washer's spin cycle to dry it.
My son has a WH7560J2 washer. Ever since he bought it 3 years ago, the spin cycle doesn't work to dry hand-washed business shirts. He finds this extremely annoying.
I intend to get a WH8060P2 to replace an existing Fisher & Paykel top loader. Could any user tell if the spin cycle of the WH8060P2 can be used independently to spin dry washings?
Thank you.

I have a brand new machine (4 days old), it is leaking from under the base of the machine. I have checked it is level, hose connections and drainage. Is there anything else I can do OR is this a lemon?

I am getting an Error Message number 37 on my F&P machine, its full of water and I've turned off at the power, left for a minute and turned back on as the manual instructs, twice and still comes up with the same message .... any ideas please? Have called the technician but on a Friday night no answer!

I'm sorry. I haven't experienced this. I wish I could help
Have you unplugged the machine after turning it off? Because everything is computerised these days I find it necessary to do so. Have you checked what the error number means? Looking online is probably the quickest way if you can't find your manual. Repairs are usually very easily done.
Thanks for your answers ladies :) it ended up being a hair clip caught in the pump filter so drained the water out and removed the clip, good as gold again!

Hi there, does the WH8060P2 washer self Heat?
2 answers
Hi, yes it can self heat but when the Fisher and Paykel maintenance man came out he advised me that the washers work better using both hot and cold water taps otherwise the machine is spending time trying to pump hot water from the tap but it cannot find it, so then it realises that it has to heat the water, so the cycle takes much longer than it shows on the timer.
Good answer Grace, nice to read.

i have just setup my brand new washer - getting an error code 74 - any idea's what that is? we have checked all the things in the manual. WH8060P2 (8KG)

My machine is only 2 days old and we have only attached cold water hose. But if setting is on hotter than 30% no water enters machine? No warning come up saying there's a problem. How long does it take to heat up water before it enters machine? It makes a noise and time counts down . I've the stopped machine after 1 minute and retried but nothing happens. Should it take longer to heat the water?? Before it enters machine I cannot find anything about it in the manual.

Hello,
I have a strange issue whereby after every wash, the fabric softener dispenser is filled with clear water - we have only had the machine for a few weeks and have not used fabric softener at all. I've removed the dispenser unit and cannot see any blockages or build up. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Cheers,
Hugh

Hi, I haven't had that issue before. Sometimes there is a bit of water in the left hand dispenser for detergent but not enough for me to worry about luckily. I would suggest giving Fisher & Paykel a call to check if it's a faulty machine or what the cause is. Good luck!
Hi, yes I often notice that happening, it hasn't had any detrimental effects on my machine or the load of washing so I hadn't been concerned about it at all. I actually have 2 of these front loaders, one for work and one for home and they both do it. I am an occasional fabric softener user but generally speaking I just use detergent (either powder or liquid I have my favourites so generally grab whichever of those ones are on sale) I have just thrown a load in right now though and have added some fabric softener to see if it dispenses properly. I am thinking that maybe the purpose of the water is to help dispense the softener from the dispenser without it leaving a sticky residue possibly?? Good question though

I had a F & P top loader previously that used front loader washing liquid and did not have any problems with this. With a load of only 4 towels (normal not sheet) and no washing liquid whatsoever on the everyday cycle the washing cycle has very little water and suds for most of the washing cycle which just seems to keep on tumbling. Towards the end at the spin cycle before the rinse heaps of suds are suddenly in the bowl. With the second rinse there are lots of suds around the window even at the end of the cycle. The towels come out stiff and very scratchy. I have been washing the towels this way for several washes to see if I have used too much previously but there is still suds in the rinse cycle. Can you make suggestions as I am not happy with the way it is washing and I was promised this was the best machine by Harvey Norman as I was extremely unhappy with my previous F&P and would not buy one again? If this is how it washes then I will be returning it.

possibly waaaay too much detergent.
try 1/2 teaspoon (it's concentrated, no filler)
Way back when machines used 200+ litres per wash a scoop was good.
now they use 10 litres per wash.
test.
When wash finished leave sheets in and try another short wash - niticed any detergent in wash?
too much detergent being used.

It is very difficult to make an accurate diagnosis of the specific cause without the benefit of inspecting your appliance.
If you would like to arrange a technician to attend to your washing machine, you can call our 24-hour Customer Care Centre on 1300 650 590 and a Customer Representative will assist you with service in your area.
Alternatively, you can search for service in your area by using our online locator at the following link: http://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/support/service-appliances#request-a-service
If there is a Fisher & Paykel technician in your area, a form will be generated which you can complete to submit a service request using our online booking facility. Otherwise, the locator will provide you with the contact details for the Authorised Service Centre(s) near your area.

was wondering if any of your front loader washers have the option to stop a wash mid cycle to add clothes and also if you have an option to use the spin cycle only?
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
Add a Garment (WH8560F, WH8060F, WH8560P, WH8060P and WH7560P models only)
The ‘Add a Garment’ function can be used to interrupt the cycle to add or remove a
garment at any time during the wash part of the cycle (as long as the wash temperature
selected is lower than 60°C). Water in the machine will be drained to a level where the
door can be opened, if necessary.
These models also have a Spin only cycle to spin out wet clothes.

how do I access the clean cycle?
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
Cleaning the inside of your washer
It is important that you regularly clean the inside of your machine using the DRUM CLEAN cycle.
After 100 cycles your washer will flash the DRUM CLEAN cycle icon everytime you turn your
washer on to remind you to do this. If your washer starts to smell this is a sign that you should
complete a DRUM CLEAN cycle. We recommend that you do not have any items in the washer
when you run this cycle.
Cleaning steps
1 Add approximately 2 full scoops of a good quality powdered
detergent directly into the main wash detergent compartment
of the dispenser drawer (marked “2”).
2 Press POWER to turn your machine on and select the
DRUM CLEAN cycle.
3 Touch START / PAUSE to start the cycle
