Foodworks Carlton dont stand by their products
I bought a bar of chocolate at this shop. the chocolate had spoiled and tasted awful. I came back the next day and asked for a refund and they told me to contact the manufacturer! Then when I pointed out that this was against consumer law, they said they wouldnt refund as I didnt have a receipt. Like many people who use Paywave I often dont bother taking a receipt, mostly because I trust that the store would stand by their loyal customers and the products that they sell. But not this one. For the sake of a $6 sale you have lost a lot more as I wont be back

What a circus
Since the new people have taken over Foodworks Sunnybank, staff can't speak English and a lot of items no prices, i take groceries to check out and they ask me what the price is, how would i know, so they can't scan bottle of soft drink so they take a photo and send to the owner for price, unbelievable, i feel sorry for the staff there.

Foodworks Tahmoor:
Used to be Bi lo now foodworks. Felt sorry for them being a small supermarket trying to compete with Woolworths so I started telling everyone at work (big factory) go to foodworks for cigarettes it's cheaper than Woolworths. Made the mistake of telling the manager it's cheaper. So they put the price up. Stupid move, now 50+ customers will return to Woolworths. What a waste of time trying to get you customers.

Bad service!
Today i went in Sunbury foodworks and while i was been served the girl was discussing getting coffee with another employee! When handing me my change she basically threw it at me and threw my bag up on the end of the counter and ran off asking for a medium capp with one sugar... will not be going back there in a hurry

Overcharged on three occasions
I have been visiting the Food works in Farmborough Heights 2526 NSW for several months now. I noticed I have been overcharged for a few times and have brought it to their attention. On one occasion the lady at the register had undercharged me and gave me $20 extra. I gave it back to her and this time she overcharged me. The price of items are completely different to the list of items they keep near the register. Overpriced at the register but lower price on the shelf. I brought it to their attention and they blamed the register. The boss did no...Read more
t even apologise or show any dissappointed expression. Over the last three occasions I have been overcharged $35. They wanted to give me a bag of free red capsicum and $2 dollars for overcharging a bag of carrots. Sad isn't it. I don't want free staff, I just would like to pay the right price.Similar opinion? Main supoermarket for me
I can find 99.5% of what I want/need and it is clearly set out. The staff is courteous and I prefer their deli as one can have the meat sliced as one waits - I will not buy pre-sliced meat of any description.,

mathoura foodworks weekly specails are very disappointing and very misleading
i do agree sadly with the other reviews here regarding the foodworks mathoura store and i am thinking just to give up shopping there... it's really not worth risking to take you eye off the scanner at the checkout as always problems...foodworks offer specials but you can never really buy them at this new store, sometimes you can be lucky but what they say the price is and what they scan at the checkout are often totally different and very misleading, you spend more time disputing the price of each product than actually shopping, never specials ...Read more
are even on display since the supermarket opened, maybe i have seen one or two tickets but they will not have them on the shelf and they say that product will be delivered tomorrow, but it never does, after the special it will be in store, just a example between the 6th and 12th of January foodworks was offering 24 cans of pepsi max for $12 a box but at the checkout it cost $22-80 and of course just one box in store all week, lucky me seems i got the box and after disputing the price they gave it to me for $13-80, bulla creamy classic 2 litre was on offer at $3-80 it scanned at $9-50 and only 3 tubs in store for that week and so on with all specials, seems when a product is on special they only will have a couple or nothing on the shelf, i really want to shop locally as we need a supermarket and we need to support local business but for me i'm about to give up and just travel longer distances and out of town again and shop again at other stores as there is never a problem as their specials are very honest at the check out and they always have ample stock available, i have since spoken on the telephone to foodworks main office who was very interested to hear from me and thanked me for letting them know and they said that all their specials are sold at the advertised price in their catalog and must be plentiful in all their stores and that they will be investigating the materSimilar opinion? Mathoura NSW Foodworks
it's fantastic that we have a supermarket in Mathoura NSW again, the staff all seem to be very friendly and polite, but sadly many of the everyday prices are very very expensive, not sure that any family on a budget could actually afford to shop there and i just wish that they would display on the shelf's of what is on special as just like every other supermarket does... as most of us actually buy products when they are on special and will not pay the normal high foodworks or IGA price and we end up being forced to shop out of town at coles, wo...Read more
olworths and aldi's in Echuca or Deniliquin as we know we can often buy most of the products at almost half the everyday foodworks price, it just would be great to shop locally again and if they could clearly display in the shop and on the shelf's of what the weekly special's foodworks have on offer... as it is now and has it's been since opening theres nothing on special unless you go to the foodworks online catalog but then when you go to Mathoura Foodworks you just don't know if the online special is going to be the same at their store and how much the product will actually cost at the register... if they do not soon display foodworks specials on the shelf's i'm going to simply give up on the store and shop out of town again :( thank-youSimilar opinion? Horrible Food
Looking at the comments and I find my local Foodworks (Moora). Out of date food that's just left out, fresh veggies don't last more than 2 days and the meats are horrible. I recently seen devondale cheese that was out of date since October 5 2015. Will never purchase or recommend Foodworks to anyone!!!

Foodworks Newtown with-holding my $50.
Hi Foodworks,
I just want to put in a complaint.
On the 28.01.15 at the Newtown Foodworks at 7:20pm I went to Foodworks to do a little shopping as it is my local supermarket.
After purchasing my groceries and asking to take out $50 cash and I left the premisses. After walking out I realized that the check out girl didn't give me my $50. That's ok mistakes happen so I returned and went up to the manager and told him the story. Thinking that it would be resolved quickly he told me no he could not do anything and said that I would have t...Read more
o come back the next day. I suggested to him that there was a camera above the checkout and if he could just have a look. He told me no and to come back the next day. I found him rude and not very responsive. So I said that I would call the police. He said "go on then I don't care". So I did. After the police coming and making a big scene in-front of your customers, he said that he couldn't do it and it wasn't up to him. Even the police asked him just to look at the CCTV footage. The police was confused why he would not/could not look at the CCTV footage. It scares me that if I was to ever shop there again (which I wont) and something happened to me in the Newtown Foodworks that the manager could not assist me or the police. Seems very strange. In the end I had to ring up Simon at Foodworks the next day and go back to Foodworks to get my $50.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad quality and very expensive
As a local, foodworks in Mansfield Victoria is a disgrace.. The produce is terrible the fruit n veg looks old and not appealing. But very over priced. The eggs are often watery. And the bread is never fresh.. Over all I feel like it's second grade food terrible quality at a high price.. A complete ripped off..I now will now shop elsewhere...
Expensive and they don't look after the locals..

Farmer Jacks Foodworks In Moora
Store is dirty Management is rude, fruit and vege is normally rotten, eggs are normally rotten bread is normally off, meat is disgusting and products on the shelf are normally out of date. When you take anything back they don't generally care. Over priced food even though it is off. And underpaid and over worked staff.

Foodworks Granville NSW
The fresh fruit and vegetables is often best described as marginal. They also have a tendency to sell grossly out of date food. Wasabi peas I purchased today, sept 2013, have a best before date of February 2013. The dry goods are on the whole normally ok, but you need to check the dates because clearly they don't care enought to manage proper stock rotation.
Usually ok dry goods
Very marginal fresh produce! often on the brink of rotting.

FoodWorks Gertrude Street, Fitzroy
Out of date food, refrozen icy ice cream, soft old celery, rotten potatoes, overpriced resold items, even Nobby's nuts were enough to put me off nuts for months. There's nothing worse than finding out they're off until after you've swallowed a few and the rotten aftertaste hits you. The place needs fresher food!

Almost there
As a customer I expect to be treated with respect and care, however when I did not get this from one of the southern downs stores, I was disappointed. The girl who served me stated I smelt and swore at me, when I approached one of the supervisors, my complaint was disregarded due to the fact they were family( mother and daughter). Other than that my experience was fabulous, shelfs were full and all other staff were polite and helpful. Kind regards!! :)
Reliable, inexpensive, helpful, polite, considerate
Staff member was rude
