Better than the Pajero
Just received my new company twin cab ute (XL model) after previously having had a Pajero wagon. Have found the Ranger's 6 speed auto diesel has excellent power and grunt, better fuel economy (<9.5ltr/100km), much quieter with far less wind and road noise, very comfortable seats both front and back and superior driving position.
Handles well on the highway and seems quite adequate so far on the limited dirt road use to date.
Fuel economy, power, driving position, quietness, outside styling, excellent bluetooth/phone/radio system which is very ...Read more

Who would have thought?
I was a sceptic. I could not see myself in an automatic diesel at any stage. I always thought they were slow, smelly and not my style. The new Ford Ranger has changed my opinion. Not only the most comfortable ute I've driven lately, it also goes like stink. Not to mention twice as fuel efficient than my previous HiLux (4.0L petrol) however perhaps the best feature is the gearbox. What a surprise it turned out to be. Can't rate it highly enough.
Performance, economy and comfort.
$85 to rotate wheels was a bit steep.

PX Wildtrack - Woeful interior quality detracts from what could be a great ute
I'll start with the good points - the drive is brilliant. it really handles itself well even by sedan standards. there is plenty of grunt in the 3.2TD and comfort on the highway is surprising given how firm the suspension feels around town. I regularly do 6hr drives in this ute and get out the other end without feeling tired and needing a chiropractor (like my previous utes).
Now the issues:
Interior plastic quality is woeful and rattles consistently - even after 4 return trips to Ford to fix
Getting on the highway the gearbox kicks dow...Read more

A great review. Very honest and direct and in layman's terms. Stuff these cars...i'm off to buy a Mazda BT50
In terms of your LED trailer additional adapter almost every manufacture requires this as the LED voltage is considerably less hence the adapter. If it was permanently built in people using standard trailer lights there lights would not operate.

Hi ACC, Thank you for the honest review. I have been looking to purchase this for sometime. I must say I have been very impressed by the new look of Ranger but certainly have not been impressed with the interior.
