Love it!
I have the Foxtel go app and it’s awesome! I can choose what package I want with no lock in contract and only pay for what we need. I have a chrome cast set up on the TV and can cast the app directly. I can also use the app on multiple devices allowing the kids to use it as well and again I have set up a chrome cast in their room as they can watch what they choose and everyone is happy!

Will NEVER consider going through Foxtel again!!!
I signed up for TV and internet for the very first time and everything seemed to go well then all of a sudden when my very first month's installment is payed Foxtel turn's around and say's I have a outstanding bill from a previous account??? Which is funny as I have never had one. Now I have to recover $138 from them, dodgiest company going.

We have been trying to watch a film in HD, rental $6.95, we are 2 mins into the film and on our 6th buffering stoppage. It is nothing to do with download (47mbps), iq 4, nothing else using internet at the moment.
It is not the first time, we don't watch many films on Foxtel because it is always happening.
Foxtel obviously does not care, any other company reads articles on product review and contacts consumers to find out what the problem is, except Apple.
Good bye Foxtel, we are over your poor service, pathetic no knowledge excuses and arrogance.

disgusting customer service
We have had Foxtel for over 10 years, probably closer to 15. Unfortunately the last three years has been nothing but problematic, I have rung repeatedly and nothing was ever done. lised I was serious he then he threatened to put extra charges on my account if I didn't have the box, remote etc back by seven days,(who can control how long it takes for the items to be returned to the company when you have to use a separate service to return them!) I had to demand a supervisor. I had my phone on speaker and three witnesses heard the entire conversation as I have had this problem before when I tried to cancel. I have lost faith in their company and products as has my family. Such a shame that I had to be rude back just so I could cancel a service I no longer wanted. They play the same boring programmes over and over and charge way more than Netflix and Stan, which has way better series, documentaries, movies etc and also more variety. They said they would handle it internally which we all know is not going to happen as they could care less about their customers, just another big company who cares about money and not the people paying for the service. I miss the days when companies actually cared about their customers. Think how much money they would have received off us for all these years and still no regard as to the affect it had on me to have to put up with a rude person who ignored my inital request. We will never have Foxtel again.

Quite apart from the dreadful content,.....
My beef is not with Foxtel content - it's pretty dire and mainly repeats and ads - but with trying to get anything done about one's account.
We moved recently and had our Foxtel account transferred to the new address. I bought a new, up to date, smart TV and on this is a Foxtel and a Netflix onscreen button. I discovered that to get Foxtel on the TV via the internet app I had to subscribe to "multiscreen" - which I promptly did.
A week later the app stopped working - just the round and round circle: Netflix was fine so the internet was OK.

Ridiculous Monthly Fee
Have been with Foxtel for 2 years to only watch V8 Supercars and the Wallabies (Other content poor) although impeccable coverage at a $39 package, a bit expensive for every second weekend viewing. They recent changed the fee to $68 ?? without notifying me of the cost, tried to get the $39 again but had to make complaints, they offer the $39 for another few months but I would have to call again at the end of contract to complain again. I cancelled Foxtel due to non GTD of monthly payment and poor customer service. It has been a month and I have received a bill for $68 when I cxld and returned the unit. Customer service is poor, Foxtel Too expensive, good luck holding customers at those prices.

Worst customer service
Yesterday I received a call during business hours. I asked if someone could call me at 5pm yesterday or today as I am unable to take calls during work hours. The lady said she would organise for this to happen. Today I received a call at 10am. The gentleman had no idea about the agreement .. did not apologise and said no-one could call me back at 5pm and that he would not put the issue in writing as an alternate form of communication - kept saying "unfortunately not" and I would need to call them. ot vice versa .... I'll not be chasing you. Way to go FOXTEL. Customer service is EXCELLENT!!! I will be organising cancellation after 15 years of being a loyal customer today. This is the last straw in a long line of crap customer service. At a time when the market is tough and this is the sort of customer service you offer. WOW!!! Another loyal customer GONE...
After nearly 20yrs, and getting no were talking to customer service in South Africa...
They were very rude .. could not get a supervisor to talk to, got hung up on so many times..price going up all the time''' and for what (repeated programs!!!)

Poor Poor Poor
I finally grew tired of this company's inadequate service, ridiculously high fees and confusing business model. I was a loyal customer for 20 plus years however was continually told that advertised prices were for new customers only and I was ineligible. How a business can sustain itself by continually trying to attract new customers but not looking after their current customers is beyond me. It was only after I told them I was disconnecting, did I get some sort of deal - too little, too late Foxtel. For a Pay TV service, I am also perplexed by the amount of ads I am forced to sit through. I might as well be watching Free to Air TV. There are far better options out there for viewers now - Netflix, Stan, Kayo etc

Worst customer service ever experienced
I was getting double charged, when I tryed speaking to them about it they just hang up, after a long wait.... I really can’t believe how they operate. Stay away!

3 weeks without service & another week till technician can get here. (Unless I take a day off work) Foxtel support couldn’t have been more useless with scripted answers and zero care factor. I think we’re done.

Foxtel Broadband/nbn Failure !!!
Foxtel broadband.... Absolute disgrace!!
Been a customer of Foxtel for nearly 4 years now and don’t know why to be honest.... nothing but trouble with them from the start. Been having trouble with my ADSL Broadband internet since July 2022. Was told January 2020 I would have NBN installed.... it’s now March and still no NBN !!
Trying it switch over to the NBN.... Called Foxtel about this and was directed to the right department, was read a full script about the new terms and conditions, was told my new equipment was on its way...... a coup...Read more
le weeks later I called back because I hadn’t received the new equipment. Was told that the order wasn’t even processed or sent out. (Pretty disappointed) So I was again read a whole new script (back to square one) and told new equipment was on its way and on the 21st of February between 8:00am and 12:00pm a NBN technician would attend my property and installation would be complete. I was sent 2 emails and 2 text messages to confirm time and dates. I took the day off work (losing a days pay)..... to wait for said technician who FAILED to show up. I was called at 12:12pm on 21st February by someone from an overseas Foxtel department to say the technician would not be attending. Unbelievably unprofessional !! So I am now out of pocket financially and still don’t have NBN installed in my property. I made a official complaint to TIO and was called after a few days by someone from Foxtel to say they would investigate this matter and would call me back once they have fully investigated it. That was Tuesday, today is Friday and I received an email to say that what happened was unfortunate and all they could do was offer me a credit of $75 !! I am unbelievably angry that they didn’t even have the decency to call me! Now schedule a new appointment for middle of March which is another day off work and another lose wage!!! Everything you read about FOXTEL from other users here is true and in majority cases is understatement, the language restriction is not allow us to fully express our real feelings about this shockingly disgusting service provider ! Movies, News & Documentaries, Entertainment & everything you want can be streamed to your clever TV direct from your PC in HD ! @ your convenience ! We pay for a service and only receive 36 minutes an hour of value.
That's it from me, no more Foxtel! sick and tired of paying a premium to watch adverts and promotions for other shows Netflix and Amazon are much better value.
And the customer service is simply appalling and Draconian " sorry I can only speak to the account holder..well my wife happens to be overseas on holiday" sorry cant help urgh.

Money hungry sharks
I have been a loyal customer, paying $135 per month, for about 13 years. I rang to cancel and like other reviewers, was accosted with tactics to keep me on. I patiently listened and then declined again, many times over. Then I asked that they confirm that billing would end on this cycle an they said that I would be charged for 2 more weeks! And they gave me some very weak excuse as to why, which they could not explain well. They said I should be grateful that I get to use Foxtel for another 2 weeks. I said I didn't want it, and I don't want to pay for it, hence the phone call! I argued for 10 mins and gave in. They won. Never going back. Stay away all.

Appalling customer service
If you are trying to get hold of Foxtel by phone, Sms or live chat it’s pointless. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. Been with them for 13 years and can it get hold of anyone to speak to or refund my calls when promised. Only given one star as had to select something otherwise would have no star from me.
Still waiting on call back after more than 24 hours. Will be cancelling subscription

You Can’t Escape!
My experience is that cancelling a subscription is extremely difficult. Be ready to be subjected to what I found to be aggressive tactics to retain you as a customer. It took a 30+ minute phone call to do something that should have taken just a few minutes. I was upset by the end of the process and felt that it required determination to stick to my intention of cancelling. I would never willingly put myself in that position with a company again.

Worst service on the planet
Do you want to get treated terrible with no respect or manners? Do you want customer service were most staff dont listen argue and have worst attitude or at best barely care. Do you want it to be so hard to find staff who want to help customers. Join foxtel. The worst company on the planet. Price increases 33% 19 -29$ u also lose HD and docos. When u ring up speak to a supervisor they will hang up on you more often than staff staff hang ups randomly put on hold or transferred no warning foxtel is the company 4u.

Terrible service and tech support

Sue, I agree with Shane O. unfortunately! There appears to be no logical explanation. If you query them, from experience, they're likely say that your cancellation notification was received into the next billing period.They're a law unto themselves. We've mentioned leaving foxtel and going to Kayofor sports but guess what?? It's owned by Foxsport and has terrible reviews of ripoffs too!! No escaping them if you want to watch regular footy matches.

i was increased from $82 to $107 without warning march was still trying to get answer in april day after direct debit was taken someone called my home no. but because i was not there to answer she sent email saying that my complaint will be ignored i went straight to my bank and had the direct debit cancelled and then had foxtel cancelled my advice if you are having trouble cancelling foxtel just go to your financial institution in cancel direct debit
