Nightmare

published

I have been trying to log into the Qantas store since December 2022 and all I get is a "Oops! Something went wrong, the shop is closed, please try again" message.
Nine times out of ten I can't log into my frequent flyer account because my details are " wrong", so they say.
I have my membership card in front of me when I try to log in, I have my glasses on and the PIN number is clearly written down too and yet my details are wrong...!
When I email Qantas customer service I feel I am writing to a robot that can't read plain English.
If Qantas service their planes like they treat their customers, they are definitely not reliable.
As a result we have stopped flying Qantas whenever possible.

Complete Joke and they couldn't care less.

published

Quite obvious they don't give a rats as not one review, and they are all pretty much negative, has been replied to by someone at QFF. Rewards seat from Perth to Bali on Crapstar is beyond a joke. Direct flight is 3 hours and 40 minutes. Only flights that can been redeemed are via Melbourne, via Brisbane, via Darwin or even via Kuala Lumpur. Massively increased carbon footprint not to mention a 3 hour 40 minute flight turning into + 8 hours. This program is a joke and not worth it.

Quantas Shop a Nightmare

published

I have bought a air fryer in quantas store. after about 5 months the machine got broken and obviously it was a default with it. I have contact them last October and they haven't resolved anything yet.
they asked via email and phone call to cut the cable and send a picture with the reference. I did that last November and guess what nothing happened.
Now the only thing that I have is a broken machine without cable.
very long process to make a claim.

Not a good point scheme

published

I had 12850 points on my account in May 2018 but if you don’t fly with them before 18 months you loose all you accumulated points. They send an email which goes to Junk mail as they send so much advertising rubbish that no body reads, so you just loose your points- total waste of time. I had booked and paid for a flight to Melbourne in July 2022 - 14 months after my original flight but because I don’t fly until January 2020 this apparently doesn’t count - hello qantas - you have the money from July as I paid with my credit card and it went through in July. Oh but don’t worry I am going to Paris and London this year but not with Qantas

Unbelievably terrible service from our so-called national carrier. Incomplete products, zero communication. Everything to do with Qantas is just getting worse and worse. Happy to shrug it all off and rip loyal customers blind at Christmas time. Disgusted.

What a nightmare

published

Simply the worst outcome for any true blue Aussie company - outsource your support to the Phillipines to save a few bucks, and lose hundreds maybe thousands of customers as a result.

Is this what your plan was Joycey? To lose more customers while gaining a few extra bucks? Whats wrong with keeping our - i am, you are, we are Australian - company in Australia? Or are we simply chasing bonuses now? Quite pathetic really and a disgrace to the logo.

If you are considering a purchase from qantas shopping, think again. You wont receive the item for weeks, have absolutely ZERO support, and if you do get through on the phone then good luck. Cause its just about the most frustrating experience you will encounter.

Pathetic customer service ever

published

It seems that my account is blocked to log in. I called Qantas Service Centre and reported my issues on 13/12/2019. I was advised by one of their agent that I should expect a call in 3 business days. I again called on 18/12/2019 as I did not received any calls from their service center as advised. This time I was advised that they (their Integrity Team) do not advise by phone but they send letters or emails and that I should now expect the same. I requested the time frame to expect their correspondence but was advised that they are not able to give me the same and have no other options than to wait. This type of statement you get to hear only in third world countries and not in Australia. Very pathetic experience.

Have been chasing my missing points for a year

published

Last year we flew overseas. My Qantas frequent flyer point did not load on my card neither did my husband's. We have been fighting fo a year and he managed to get his loaded.
Well in the last 6 months I can not get a response from the fantastic Quntas contacts team.

Written emails and all I get is reference numbers and promissed to get back to me.

I called. Over 30 min on the phone waiting and nothing....

Now my point will expire and that will give them a great excuse.

Well done Qantas

Absolutely the worst program in the industry!

published

I flew Fiji Airways round-trip Sydney to Los Angeles (15,000 miles) and received 3,750 points with Qantas Freq. Flyer - which is REALLY low for this long of a trip. Just for information, you need 10,000 points for a round trip reward, or THREE TRIPS TO THE USA! Calls to their "service center" were always "...well you did fly economy..." so was made to feel like an urchin and was lucky to snag a seat INSIDE the plane and not in the baggage compartment. If you can afford $10,000 plane tickets then maybe this is your airline. If you're on a budget, no need to join qantas as they will rip. you. off. No worth it as it's a HUGE scam for them.

Why bother!

I bought a DeLonghi toaster with points in early November. I was sent a Milkshake Creation instead. Easy mistake to make!!! After me contacting Qantas the mixup was realised. I sent it back immediately, was told I would receive toaster once Milkshake Creation was examined - as if I would use it! Two attempts later to get satisfaction, I am still waiting for the toaster. No assistance through complaints. Will not use Qantas Shop again.

Shocking customer service even for Platinum One

published

Wanting to avoid the Christmas rush I ordered some RMWilliams shoes on the Qantas Store in the first week of November. After many attempts I cant get these delivered. Having to wait in excess of 30mins on hold before someone answers calls and never responding to the to contact us forms. 14th Dec and still no gift! What a massive disappointment for one of your most loyal customers!

Terrible - wish I had read the reviews first!!

Bought a Golf Buggy & Bag combo using points - Buggy arrived 5 days after the stated delivery date (which had been delayed once already). No sign of Golf Bag. email & phone call only to be told that I needed to take a photo of buggy and send it in (what a complete waster of my time). Still hassling with them over the non-delivered bag.

Too much hassle to get a Digital Gift Card

published

Thought I would use up some soon to expire Qantas air miles by buying digital gift cards that are just emailed. After numerous email an phone calls the system has still not sent me the email to printout. Call center just fobs you off with "wait another 24 hours" or "we can't help so call back tomorrow" or "supervisor is not available" or just cuts you off. Never have this problem with Air New Zealand.

Not Impressed

published

My wife had 3900 points from a flight approximately 18 Months ago. We tried to get them transferred over to my QFF account but the minimum amount is 5000 so we could not do it. Then after 18 Months they expired the points due to in activity. Why so many restrictions? And why was this changed from 3 years expiry previously to only 18 Months now? Wasted points with a ridged rules makes this rewards program not so impressive.

Don't trust their online store earning you Qantas Points - Shame on you QFF

published

I've recently purchased an electronic goods using the link they provided in the Qantas Store, but no points was given in 15 days. So I've lodged an enquiry, two weeks later they came back saying it's been declined because either I return the order or I didn't click through the link from their store. For one, I still have my stuff with me right now, for two I know I definitely click through their store, I even provided them with the web order. But they just declined. Disappointing customer service!

HOW can I join Virgin Frequent Flyers points please??

No answers
Emme

Emmeasked

I'm considering getting a Qantas frequent flyer card - All the reviews seem terrible but the main issue seems to be expiry of points. I've read the following on the Qantas website:

Your Qantas Points will not expire as long as you earn or use Qantas Points (excluding family transfers or the conversion of points from Aquire) through your Frequent Flyer account at least once every 18 months. This includes earning or using Qantas Points with our program partners. The time period starts from the date of your last activity (in the case of earning points on eligible flights, that is the date the flight was taken).

This seems okay to me as I would definitely use points/earn points every year.. Is the expiry the only issue people seem to have?

Hi Emme, the problem is you don’t earn points on partner flights well not Jetstar that’s for sure. So unless you know you will fly with Qantas you could fly regularly and not earn points. I earn pts regularly and just struggle to spend them. Getting a points seat on Qantas is like pulling teeth. Jetstar is easy though, go figure. And I have had issues with the store as well. The programme itself is complicated and outdated. Give the points a dollar value and let ppl spend them would solve a lot of problems. Hope that helps.

Hi Emme. Lost points is only part of the problem with this scheme. Getting any ff seats is extremely difficult, the taxes attached to ff seats are huge and often make it as cheap to fly with another airline, and you will often earn no points at all on your flights if they are discounted fares - but you will always get the annual charges.
Shop around: much fairer schemes are out there.

My points haven't expired. I have had a problem getting valid points credited to my account. Don't join this program. Explore what other airlines are offering.

I am a Gold status FF. I average 4 flights a year to USA cities through Lax with Departures usually
thru Term 4. My status allows access to Qantas Club Lounge which is in Tom Bradley Term. Term
4 departures requires QC Lounge members to use AA Lounge in Term 4. This lounge is exceedingly
inferior to QC Lounge & I feel does not meet the advertised benefits of Qantas Club membership
(The many QC members I speak to when in the AA club are all equally disgusted with the AA Club offerings) I am searching for method to access QC Lounge in [name removed] when my departure is
scheduled from Term 4.
