Purchased 23/1/16. First defrost today 20/11/17. Not sure of power consumption, but don't hear the "motor" running very often. Only me to cater for so ideal size. Found lines in base and sides of drawers which at first In thought were cracks, but on closer inspection they seem to be lines withinn the moulding. Have sent inquiry to Haier incase they are a weakness. No other faults so far.

Our cheapo BIG W freezer played up after a defrost so we did some research of Harvey Norman stock locally, which is convenient to get to. A choice of two seemed likely but my wife preferred the 3 transparent drawer Haier, each with its own coil, so be it, into the Discovery it went. Six months down the track it is doing OK. Note the bottom drawer is not so deep as the other two. Power consumption is average, 233Kwh per annum, so, at the moment it costs about $4 a month to run although during the day it uses our solar power, which is still worth 50c per Kwh !
