Amazing tele
Bought 75R8 hisense from a factory refurbished shop in clayton called bestbuy electricals. Was bit worried since we only recieved 1 year warranty, but it went well, almost a brand new piece for $1600 and still couldn't see any better deal to beat them. Overall highly satisfied specially in this quarantine period.
Purchased in January 2021 for A$1,600.00.

Beautiful colour, deep blacks fast processor. My best TV yet!
Pros: Beautiful picture. Stunning colour, deep blacks. Nice sound.
Fast internet functions.
Great to watch my phones pictures & video's on the large screen. Fast.
The picture is nice and bright & colourful in a well lit room.
Cons: None I can see. Maybe an option of a stand in the middle instead of the outer edges.
Purchased in December 2021 at The Good Guys for A$1,450.00.

Good picture, useless software and reliability
Crashes regularly (about every two days) and requires hard power cycle to recover.
“Smart tv” functions very limited, Can only get catchup tv via Freeview which doesn’t have all channels in Tasmania so have to use AppleTV instead.
The Alexa interface also often doesn’t work and requires power cycling to recover.
Can’t comment on sound as mine is connected to a Sonos beam
Overall, very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend.
Purchased in September 2021 at Myer for A$1,500.00.

Good picture and sound but has its quirks.
The good:- the picture is good, really good for a relatively cheap TV, the TV boots up fast and apps open quickly and easy to navigate. EPG guide is pretty good, fast to update programs on FTA channels and simple to navigate through and see upcoming shows and time remaining. The remote is good, well set out and simple to use. Have tried bluray (not ultrahd bluray as dont have one yet) and it displays standard bluray beautifully.
The bad (or the quirks I found so far that I couldn't fix):- have j919 firmware and still have lip sync issues ev...Read more
en after tweaking the settings, although on lip sync 7 I can watch FTA TV without noticeable lip sync problem. But when changing to media player or Stan, the lip sync issue is there and setting need to be changed pretty much each time. Alexa integration is hit and miss, does work to change channels, change volume, and turn off TV, but it wont start the TV when TV is on standby mode using echo dot gen3. Also the small TV remote suppose have voice control capability. I couldn't get it to work. Hit the voice control button and TV states "voice service is not supported in this location now" Not sure what that means, and after hours trying to found anything about it online, assumed this service is not available in Australia. Generally happy with the purchase, maybe wish I didnt have to fiddle to get things working so much but will have to live with it until maybe a new firmware release in future fixing the issues, and hopefully it lasts as long as my 7 year old Samsung 55inch TV.Purchased in December 2021 at The Good Guys for A$2,000.00.

Good tv but not as good as Samsung Q series
After weeks of research and positive word of mouth, I went out and bought this tv, previous TVs I had were Samsung 82” Q60 and Samsung 65” Q75, so this tv had a lot to live up too, I’ll start with instruction manual, you can tell straight away it’s a Chinese brand, the book looked like it was made by a 12 year old at school, next the picture quality, picture is good but not quite like the Samsung’s, the Samsung’s seem to have a much softer clearer looking picture, I can’t exactly put my finger on it, like I said the hisense is an exc...Read more
ellent picture where the Samsung is perfect, that’s just my layman’s opinion, the one thing hisense is a little better is sound, sound on the hisense has more modes, and its clearer and crisper than the Samsung’s, finally build quality, hisense again is much better in that too, Samsung have plastic cheap feeling, hisense solid and heavier, oh one more thing I forgot which is a The deal breaker for most, and that’s the 3 year hisense warranty vs the 1 year Samsung warranty,Purchased in September 2021 at Myer for A$2,800.00.
