Why won't the CD player eject or receive cds?

Does your Cd player make a noise when you turn it off. Like a winding noise. Our 2005 VZ Lumina has the same problem. I thought it was the aerial going down. Then I looked further into the noise, and found out there is a cd stuck inside so it wont eject or receive..
Children often deposit coins into them as well as I discovered. After removing the system and shaking the 2 coins out it worked.

I have 2004 vz ss just brought it second hand ran great for a week and a bit... but now I've gone through 2 battery in as many days have been told could be coil or regulater on back of altinater or a loose earth somewhere need to know for sure I don't wanna fork out unnecessary coin. Any ideas?

iv got a 2006 vz ute (v6)
when im accelerating the car has no balls moves like a slug it makes a fluttery sound when this is happening
its been serviced recently
i thought it would have been the catbacks or exhaust so i got it all changed
fuel filter is recent
iv been running 98 petrol

This maybe this is too simple, but one vz I had did a similar thing and all it was was the small hose that goes up into the underside of the carbie had come off. You need a pair of really long nosed pliers to put it back on, if it's that. Also check all the plug leads,some of mine had a habit of coming loose on some of the plugs. Good luck..

2005 VZ commodore. Dash lights went off this morning, tail lights still ok Speedo reads 60 kph and tacho on 1100 revs even with key out of the ignition.
Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks

Have you tried disconnecting your battery for 5-10 minutes and letting electronics reset?

I guess electric reset is a good idea otherwise you should probably take it to a service.

High beam lights won't work.but lights are ok. Any ideas?

Hello Lisa im not a qualified mechanic however my guess would be to check the following:
Fuse compartment (located in engine bay?)
High beam solenoid
Last resort but prob unlikely indicator stalk switch?
Just for kicks disconnecting battery for 5 minutes then reconnecting just in case its some silly electronics gremlin that might need a reset?
I would have thought a good mechanic should fix this easily enough.

Had flat battery now no radio. any ideas?

If battery flat or disconnected then radio will need 4 digit security code to activate radio. Code should be on car manual or service guide or go to GMH holden dealership with vin or compliance plate number and dealership give you 4 digit security code.

Yes, the Commodore VZ does have ABS braking, it's a BOSCH system, Commodores have used ABS for a long time now .

Vz ss leaking coolant underneath on lhs can't see any area from where it's coming from, any ideas?

The obvious areas of coolant leakage are the radiator hoses and connections also check the water pump and the hose to the heater controls this can be hard to spot
The radiator is prone to splitting as well and the water will track across the bottom of the mounting and appear on the opposite side to the fault good luck with this

with spark leeds its about 100,000ks and may last 200,000ks if you lift the bonnet in the dark you may see sparks jumping around the engine wile running, this can damage other parts.

Hey guys i screwed my timing chain and transmission and well cut a long story short I've bought a diffrent motor and transmission put it in it'll kick over then die. Does it matter that I kept my computer and I didn't get the computer from the motor I bought?

It could be the automatic choke or possibly even the catalytic converter - probably better to take the car to a Holden Australia workshop or a mechanical repairs and servicing workshop or it could be a fault with the radiator setup so my recommendation then would be a radiator specialist workshop

Unless you're got the diagnosis computer equipment I don't think you can so my recommendation is take the car to a Holden Australia workshop or ultratune or kmart tyres and auto - alternatively you could get your mechanic you already had in mind to change the setup
You don't have to replace the complete pack.

It seems like you need to take the car to a Holden Australia workshop or a auto electrician such as ultratune or kmart tyres and auto - the auto electrician will be able to do the same job but it's cheaper however, the Holden workshop probably has better computer diagnosis equipment

Looks like you need to buy a new battery - you may try the Holden Australia workshop if buying a new battery doesn't work or a auto electrician workshop such as ultratune or kmart tyres and auto may be able to assist �

I changed my rocket cover cause where the cap goes on was leaking then took it for a drive and realised now my cap is leaking so got a new oil cap and took it for another drive. I start seeing smoke, I come back home, took a look now oil is coming out of both rocket covers from where the spark plugs goes. Can anybody please help me?

Did you replace the rocker cover gasket? You should not have had to replace the rocker cover itself as it would only leak through the gasket. As for the smoke "where the spark plugs goes" you must be getting oil onto the exhaust manifolds which are hot enough to burn the oil and produce smoke.
