Roadside Assistance - "We Have Your Back" Not
On Saturday my car started to misfire, I was 27 km from home. I didn't want to drive any further as the engine warning lights came on and said get service. Just on a side note it was 38 degrees outside.
I called Holden and they said an RACV man would come out in 40 - 70 minutes. They also told me if it needed towing because it was the weekend it would have to go to a holding yard and they would deliver it to my dealer on Monday. Why do Nationwide only allow 20km recovery?

I don't know why but I can tell you that the guy from Nationwide that recovered my car dropped me slightly over 20km and that was less than 1 km from my home, go figure... All I can assume is that it is a directive given to them by Holden. I will add that because it was the weekend they wanted to take my car to their depot which was over 40km away but, they couldn't take me an extra 800 meters to my home. The whole thing stank of a waste of money, Holden Roadside Assist do not 'Have your back' as they claim save your money and join the RACV or your local service because when the RACV tech came, he told me that the RACV would have taken me home, no questions asked.
