Hi, I have a 2007 Holden viva, I replaced the transmission, then a week later the car wouldn’t turn over.
I replaced the starter motor and checked the battery was ok. When I turn the key dashboard turns on, however can’t hear any clicking or anything. It just doesn’t do anything, or try turning over.
Ive by passed the starter motor directly to the battery which starts the car when key is in the on position. But turning the key to start it doesn’t do anything? Any ideas?
The mechanic said the top flux has gone in my transmission. What is it?

Hi, If you mean the front indicator, I'm trying to do the same thing myself. There's a piece of structural steel about 1 mm behind the globe holder, which means you have to move the whole headlight cluster forward to get the indicator globe holder out.
To move the headlight cluster forward, you have to undo a few screws. Most of these screws are clearly visible on the top of the headlight cluster but one is concealed behind the grill so you have to remove the grill to get at it.
The grill is fixed to the steel body frame with four screws, two each side of the bonnet catch. Then comes the bit that I'm stuck with.
The grill has two prongs, one near each end, pointing backwards towards the radiator, that seem to clip into sockets. The sockets have metal parts which look as if they should slide to release the prongs, and there are orange parts that look as if they will release something, maybe the metal sliders. And it's all the more difficult because you can't get a good look to see what's going on until you ... get the grill off!
I'll be grateful if anyone can enlighten me on how to release those clips!
Hi they just pop out use a screw driver there 4 plastic clips at the bottom pop those 4 out and grill comes off
