Best car I've ever owned!!
Seriously the best car I've ever owned. There is so much power under the bonnet, especially on steep hills, and there are a few of those where I live.
I bought it new in 2015. Mechanically the car is still fantastic, I've had it serviced twice, every 12 months, as per manufacture and dealer recommendations. I've had no major problems.
It is predominately an automatic car, But, you can switch to manual for more power, and more a steady breaking on hills
On a full tank of petrol, which costs around $40-45, depending on the price of petrol...Read more
, I get around 450-550kms I mostly drive around the city, But, I also do a fair amount of open road driving too. I seriously can not fault this car. It performs so well. This also includes some off-road too. The interior is very nice. Plenty of legroom for growing teens, all their bags, and of late, the dogs. One feature which I simply cannot live without now is the radio screen which, when my phone is connected via Bluetooth, becomes a hands-free phone. It's fantastic.Similar opinion? Great value and reliable
We have a Hyundai Accent sendan which we are very happy with. This car was purchased brand new and we haven’t had a single issue with it. The services are only once a year and price capped. Also, this car is very fuel efficient, on interstate drives we manage to use about 4.8 L/100 k, which is really good. The boot is very spacious and the seats are comfortable and roomy. Overall a great car.

Good Car!
Since this is a small car with 1.4 litre engine, I feel that the car is sometimes overworked specially when accelerating uphill. I notice that the engine is a bit noisy at first when you turn it on. The interior is pretty good. The seats are made of cloth but good quality. There is no reversing camera/sensor. I don't like the rear window as I find it a bit smaller. As per safety, it has 5 star ANCAP. I like its feature which gives you idea how much remaining gasoline your car and kilometres it can reach. We bought it with 10 years Extended Warranty from DVG Morley which is awesome deal. Overall, still good car for its price.

Great Sales Experience
Purchased for my mother who hasn’t driven in over 20 years, the car is perfect for her. Easy to steer, park and drive with enough room for her groceries and grandkids. Can not fault anything about the vehicle in over a year. Sales team at Moorooka Hyundai were fantastic and went above and beyond to make this a great surprise for her.

Reliable fuel efficient car
Drives well and smooth. Low noise, in fact I can hardly hear when it's on. Plenty of leg room etc, Bluetooth is very handy with screen and steering wheel radio controls. Only thing missing is some extra cupholders. Very fuel efficient as a 1.4 litre. No gps I suppose as it's an entry level car.

Surging since I brought it brand new Aug 2016
Driving, surges at 50klm constantly
interiror OK
Reliability very questionable as this surging problem is a safety issue with accelerator movement, problem found but dealership is not doing anything about it, I advised them two weeks after purchase, they have done nothing, neither has Hyundai,
Would not recommend this car.

Perfect great car
Great drive stearing smooth. Very quiet but it is only a 1.4 litre engine it can be a little sluggish. Cost about $50 to fuel up get roughly about 430 to 500 kilometers per tank but only has a 40 litre fuel tank. It's a little small on the inside, perfect for a family with 1 to 2 children. A good reliable little car.

My first brand new car
I've had this car since June 2017. So far it's been very reliable and great on fuel consumption. It doesn't have much starting power but great when it's got going. The only real issue I have is when I connect to iplay and someone calls me, what ever volume my phone is on it rings into the car at that volume and scares me to death. So unless you have the patience to remember to turn your phone down every time you get in it's quite annoying.
The leg room in the front of the car is great, not so much in the back. But it is a small car. The boot is quite for the size of the car.

Value for money!
It's not the fastest or fanciest car on the market but I can tell you that if you are after a car that runs on an oily rag and its reliable this is you car and for the cost with the added extras like the long warranty and roadside assist it was a no brainer.

Love my new car
This car is great. The drive is smooth on all the different roads I've taken it on. It's great on the highway, smaller suburban streets and even on tiny dirt roads that wind around mountains. It's easy to park in tight spots and I absolutely love driving it everywhere.
It's a small car that has surprising amounts of room inside. My tall friends have no issues stretching their legs in the front passenger seat, my sisterinlaw can easily fit her (large) rear facing baby seat in the back seat of the car and the boot of the car has a great am...Read more
ount of space for a small car. Apple Car play, while not a feature I would pay extra for, is a great addition to the car. Being able to plug in and use Maps/Music/Phone/Voice to Text is handy. The car has given me no issues since I purchased it brand new earlier this year. The running costs are low, I do an average amount of driving (about 15,000km/year) and have found that filling the tank will last me about two weeks or so. The lifetime service plan is very reasonable in price aswell.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Car
This is a great car!! Great price, perfect size and great support system. I bought this car for my grandmother, and although it is only coming up to 2 years of owning it, we have not really had any problems. I would definitely recomend this car to anyone looking for a great car and not a big invesment.

Best car under $16k
i purchased this car 3 months ago, so far very good. Paid $16k automatic Sedan, Red colour plus floor mats etc. I am getting around 660 km for full tank and I.e. around $35.
The only disappointment was my friend bought the same car from a different dealer for around $15.2k which is my mistake as i didn't negotiate a better deal with the dealer and not HyundaI's fault.

An outstanding small "city" car
If you're looking for a car in this category, the Accent should be on your shopping short-list.
The performance from the 1.4lt engine is perfectly adequate and the new 6 speed CVT auto works well with this engine. The ride is noticeably firm but I think will be acceptable to most buyers. The car suffers from considerable road noise on the highway but you must take into account the low purchase price. If you want a quiet highway cruiser this is not the car for you - remember that Hyundai market and sell this vehicle as a "city" car. As a city c...Read more

Reliable and very light. pretty good sound bar.
I've got my Hyundai accent in late 2013 as a brand new, red colour, a beautiful one. it is sedan, manual, 1.6 L. I really like it. it is very handy, very quite on road specially on new asphalt. I love touch screen music player and bluetooth. very good features like automatically turn lights off after turning off the engine. Also it has a huge space to carry stuff till 180 cm with all doors closed.
the only negative is about colour. it is going to be scratched very easy even with you nail.

Excellent Economical Small Car
I have driven 3 Accents over the last 10 years & they just get better & better. So economical on fuel, so easy to drive, comfortable & look very stylish. Never had any problems with these cars. Would recommend to anyone, even with a young family as there is enough space to fit 2 young kids with car seats in the back & some space in between.

Great value car
Affordable, comfy and nicely optioned with good engine power for its size. Sure its lacks a reverse camera but the android / apple integration suits for music, radio, GPS and more and keeps the drivers eyes off the screen and on the road. Runs on little fuel and with capped price annual service costs its a budget buy to buy and to own. The security of 24/7 roadside assist is a nice touch.
Remember this a budget buy. Its not a fancy car with options and leather. But its well finished for the budget buyer and has ample legroom for all 4 passen...Read more
gers with a nice deep book suitable for three large bags with no trouble. Why this car and not the Kia or one of the other budget small cars. $16K for an auto 5 door 5 seat sedan. The KIA was a close contender by at $1500 more we could see no reason for the extra. The dealer offers a 3 extra yyear basic warranty if we get the 5 years of services with them so the so called KIA~7 year warranty isnt that attractive. I once owned a KIA and wasnt that imprssed. My other Hyundai 120 have been a reliable car and helped sell the Accent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great car for a young female who does city driving
The Hyundai Accent is quite impressive and very nippy. it has excellent road handling abilities and very good braking not only on dry roads but also on wet roads. there is a fair bit of road noise at speed and on rough tar but as a city car it is very good. This car is no good for big people and you are squashed in the back seat if you have three large adults in the back and then there is very little leg room if the front seat is put into a comfortable position for the front passenger or driver also the car sits very low when you have 4 or 5 ad...Read more
ults and you need to be very careful when driving over speed humps and into driveways as the front and back tend to hit the ground or the centre of the car when going over a speed hump, suspension is too soft in my book. The boot is very big for a small car and can hold a lot of gear. the dash is well laid out. The fuel tank is a bit small and you need to refuel more often. I feel the fuel consumption could be better as you are chewing more fuel because it has such a small engine and now the newer models are coming out with an even smaller engine where as the older model has a 1.6 ltr, the newer model will come with a 1.4 ltr and I feel it will be a bit too small an engine and do not attempt to put 91 octane fuel in these cars as you will get even less power. City driving you would get between 400 and 500 to the tank. The Hyundai Accent is very well made and comes with a very good warranty including roadside assist but you won't need the road side assist as the car is very reliable. The paint work is very good. I feel this car would suit a young female driver as it is very safe to drive and has a lot of safety features including the automatic locking doors as they lock automatically when the car moves at about 10klmh and this is a great idea for anyone who drives the car as car jackers can't just open the doors and it unlocks when keys are removed from the column. excellent feature. The Wheels are 14" but you can option them up to an alloy wheel and bigger tyres. If you have a clean driving record and 60% no claim and depending on where you live your comprehensive insurance is on the cheapest category saving you heaps. For country driving this car is very under powered on hills and with the automatic the car wants to constantly change back gears when going up hills and with this you lose what fuel saving you may get for country driving because you are pushing the car up the hills. the manual version of this car might handle the hills better as you have control of when you want to change back a gear. Overall if you want a car that has pretty much all the bells and whistles and is well made with fixed price servicing for 3 years and you intend to drive just around town and not fit sumo wrestlers in the car then go ahead and test drive one, it is still very nifty and it is a fun car to drive for around town and hey it is pretty good value for the price.Similar opinion? Not Sure if Any1 else has encountered this issue. I bought a brand new Hyundai Accent Sport 2017 last year. Since day-1, i can feel the accelerator is too sensitive (comparing to my old Holden)... Whenever i try to level to a particular speed, the car jerks up & down (though the jerk is not much noticeable by other passengers in car but the driver can feel it's not smooth).
I got this checked by Hyundai technicians and they responded with a comment "this is what it is. the sensors may be too sensitive but we cannot change it as the software comes via the company".
I just want to check if sm1 else has also observed this?

Yes, I have found the same thing on my 2017 Accent Sport manual. When cruising at 60 Kph in 4th gear on light throttle, the engine falters and bucks slightly ( only the driver notices it and it would be very difficult to demonstrate it to a mechanic). Much more noticeable with the aircon on as it cycles on and off. I figure that it is the second cheapest new car to put on the road (after the Mirage) so you cannot expect perfection in all areas, but it does detract from driving pleasure in an otherwise great little car.
Yes, so glad someone else is experiencing the same thing. I have a Sport auto and its hard to drive smoothly. It almost feels like the car has regenerative braking when you lift of the accelerator. At about 50 kph, it will also drop down a gear when you lift off the pedal. Passengers have started to notice it too, commenting that it feels like the car is surging. It's a shame as everything else about the car is great. I'm going to ask the service people if they can do something to the electronic settings in the transmission when it next gets serviced.
I’ve got the same thing with my 2018 model guys. It doesn’t like to sit on 50kph at all. It’s either under or over.

Hi Everyone,
I ma gone through a lot of above mentioned reviews and are definitely useful. I have another query if any can answer that please.
I live near brisbane cbd and pretty in a hilly area. I just wanted your reviews on how is the car (accent) on hills. Does it struggle or rattles while climbing on a hill?
Thank you

Mine is an automatic and don't have any problems going uphill. Mine is new so I don't know how older cars perform
Thank you for your reply..
I have a an auto mid-2017 model and it handles hills well given its small engine. You won't win a race with a prado, but I'm guessing you won't expect to!
