My dream car!
Ok so maybe not my dream car but this one is perfect for me my daily commute. A spacious cabin, smooth comfortable ride. Love the Apple Carplay touch display which lets you control your music, maps and podcasts. I've only had it for 6 months now so haven't had a service yet but there's no issues whatsoever. Exceptional value too!
Purchased in August 2021 at John Hughes Car Sales for $16,000.00.

Great small car, excellent value for money
We've had the Accent for 16 months and have grown quite attached to it. We were looking for a late model used car (not a Hyundai) when my wife pointed out that a brand new Accent would actually be cheaper! Taking into account the extra money we would save through 15,000km servicing, better fuel economy and the 5 year warranty - we took the plunge with Hyundai and we aren't disappointed. Friendly service, great reliability and ongoing $avings! If you want a more powerful car with cruise control, GPS, reversing camera, extra space, you name it, t...Read more
hen expect to pay a lot more - both up front and forever after. We paid extra to add reversing beepers and you need an iPhone so that the car stereo can provide directions and map while you drive. There are some niggles e.g. at highway speed you have less grunt for overtaking and more road noise. Taller people might find that their rear passengers have less leg room. This car isn't perfect, but it is excellent value for money.

That how we feel, can't live without it
Love it all, we always say we are glad we chose the accent even now a couple of years down the track
We get great service, we are happy with the mileage and we still feel it's the best styled vehicle .
We love the silver colour we chose and would not change it.

Great Run-About Car!
This is one-of (if not, the) best cars I've ever owned!!! It is cheap, without looking it. It is a good car to downsize to as we did, from a medium sedan (i45) to this. The i45 was a great car, but it wasn't light on petrol, it was harder to park because of its size and there was too-much space that wasn't being used. And we got our little red Accent and haven't looked back. The driiving experience is good; does what it needs to do. It's pretty smooth and quiet. When driving on rough tarmac or driving fast for long periods of time you do notice...Read more
the tire roar... but it could be much worse. The exterior of the car is rather neat looking, for a cheap and light car it has some nice styling elements. Sharp creases along the side and front with a uniquely styled rear-end complimenting the exterior with bland, yet suiting, hubcaps. For the class, the Accent is quite plush. The is a nice patterned plastic that surrounds the cabin with some silver inserts and neat, flowing sculpture. The front seats are comfy, and hug you nicely, however the back seats could have a little more support. There are plenty of cupholders and storage up-front, but the isn't a center arm-rest in the back and there is only one map pocket. Otherwise, there is a vast amount of space in the back seat. The media system is ok. Blu-tooth is kinda slow to connect for android phones so you're best just to use the aux cord. For apple devices it is a little more accepting with Apple Carplay and faster connectivity. I would like it if the car had a reversing camera as the back window is small and obstructed by rear seats and rear C pillars. The boot is massive! Again, for a light car, its boot is bigger than cars in higher classes such as the Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3. Very, very good car for anyone. Maybe not for larger families...Similar opinion? Economical Car
Sporty-looking on the outside, with grippy tyres for sporty cornering
Roomy interior
Quite quick in a straight line
Strong after-sales package
Cheaper than some competitors
Suspension too abrupt over country roads and fidgety on urban arterials
Average interior quality
Flat seats
Lacks engine refinement and overall finesse of best rivals

Great little car. Very happy with the Accent as a shopping trolley - taxi around town
I replaced our old Pulsar with a brand new Accent in 2017, and I am very happy that I did. The car handles so well, has all the modern conveniences you'd expect in a larger car, including bluetooth, central locking, airbags everywhere, lovely dash and controls, great 5 year warranty. Fuel efficiency is great - around 5L/100 km on the open road, and ~ 6.5 around town.
Only slight concern is that road sounds can become loud at speed - needs some insulation under the feet. It is also low, so be careful when parking not to nose into curbs or the front bumper will scrape.

Excellent car best value for money
I have been using this car for almost a year and I love it. It comes with Apple Car play, full spare wheel and lot of car boot space. 5 years of warranty with unlimited kilometers. I had a problem with radio reception after 7 months and they replaced the whole apple car play unit under warranty.

Great value and reliable
We have a Hyundai Accent sendan which we are very happy with. This car was purchased brand new and we haven’t had a single issue with it. The services are only once a year and price capped. Also, this car is very fuel efficient, on interstate drives we manage to use about 4.8 L/100 k, which is really good. The boot is very spacious and the seats are comfortable and roomy. Overall a great car.

Perfect great car
Great drive stearing smooth. Very quiet but it is only a 1.4 litre engine it can be a little sluggish. Cost about $50 to fuel up get roughly about 430 to 500 kilometers per tank but only has a 40 litre fuel tank. It's a little small on the inside, perfect for a family with 1 to 2 children. A good reliable little car.

Best car under $16k
i purchased this car 3 months ago, so far very good. Paid $16k automatic Sedan, Red colour plus floor mats etc. I am getting around 660 km for full tank and I.e. around $35.
The only disappointment was my friend bought the same car from a different dealer for around $15.2k which is my mistake as i didn't negotiate a better deal with the dealer and not HyundaI's fault.

Reliable and very light. pretty good sound bar.
I've got my Hyundai accent in late 2013 as a brand new, red colour, a beautiful one. it is sedan, manual, 1.6 L. I really like it. it is very handy, very quite on road specially on new asphalt. I love touch screen music player and bluetooth. very good features like automatically turn lights off after turning off the engine. Also it has a huge space to carry stuff till 180 cm with all doors closed.
the only negative is about colour. it is going to be scratched very easy even with you nail.

Excellent Economical Small Car
I have driven 3 Accents over the last 10 years & they just get better & better. So economical on fuel, so easy to drive, comfortable & look very stylish. Never had any problems with these cars. Would recommend to anyone, even with a young family as there is enough space to fit 2 young kids with car seats in the back & some space in between.

Great car for a young female who does city driving
The Hyundai Accent is quite impressive and very nippy. it has excellent road handling abilities and very good braking not only on dry roads but also on wet roads. there is a fair bit of road noise at speed and on rough tar but as a city car it is very good. This car is no good for big people and you are squashed in the back seat if you have three large adults in the back and then there is very little leg room if the front seat is put into a comfortable position for the front passenger or driver also the car sits very low when you have 4 or 5 ad...Read more
ults and you need to be very careful when driving over speed humps and into driveways as the front and back tend to hit the ground or the centre of the car when going over a speed hump, suspension is too soft in my book. The boot is very big for a small car and can hold a lot of gear. the dash is well laid out. The fuel tank is a bit small and you need to refuel more often. I feel the fuel consumption could be better as you are chewing more fuel because it has such a small engine and now the newer models are coming out with an even smaller engine where as the older model has a 1.6 ltr, the newer model will come with a 1.4 ltr and I feel it will be a bit too small an engine and do not attempt to put 91 octane fuel in these cars as you will get even less power. City driving you would get between 400 and 500 to the tank. The Hyundai Accent is very well made and comes with a very good warranty including roadside assist but you won't need the road side assist as the car is very reliable. The paint work is very good. I feel this car would suit a young female driver as it is very safe to drive and has a lot of safety features including the automatic locking doors as they lock automatically when the car moves at about 10klmh and this is a great idea for anyone who drives the car as car jackers can't just open the doors and it unlocks when keys are removed from the column. excellent feature. The Wheels are 14" but you can option them up to an alloy wheel and bigger tyres. If you have a clean driving record and 60% no claim and depending on where you live your comprehensive insurance is on the cheapest category saving you heaps. For country driving this car is very under powered on hills and with the automatic the car wants to constantly change back gears when going up hills and with this you lose what fuel saving you may get for country driving because you are pushing the car up the hills. the manual version of this car might handle the hills better as you have control of when you want to change back a gear. Overall if you want a car that has pretty much all the bells and whistles and is well made with fixed price servicing for 3 years and you intend to drive just around town and not fit sumo wrestlers in the car then go ahead and test drive one, it is still very nifty and it is a fun car to drive for around town and hey it is pretty good value for the price.Similar opinion? Perfect car under the budget of $17k
I bought this car in Aug 2016. Very economical and pleasant to drive. Plenty of legroom, massive boot and cant complaint about the multimedia. This car could have done better in sales compared to Corolla and Mazda 3, if Hyundai would have included standard feature like cruise control and rear view camera.

Hyundai Accent
Recently bought a Hyundai accent.
It is compact, powerful for its size and spacious.
Easy to handle.
It is a manual car and has 6 gears which honestly,I think 5 gears will do.
Do not know why have 6 gear.
maybe the manufacturer can explain.
Overall still as a nice car to drive.

We are just as in love with this car as when we purchased it over a year ago
Performance is excellent, style cannot be matched, handles like a dream.
We feel there is plenty of room and the side mirrors keep such excellent vision.
Better than any car we have ever owned.
We love the little compartment above the front window that holds my husbands driving glasses.
The stereo sound is better in the car than in our home.

Cheap on fuel
Got it as it was the cheapest sedan in 2012. The 5 years warranty unlimited kms was a major attraction too. Clocking 5.6l/100kms as I do more than 100kms every day on a manual transmission. Only problem I had was the rattling sound coming from the sunvisor which I just got it replaced last service(renewal covered by warranty).

Best Value for Money
All I can say is that this is the best value for money car....!!! YES YES YES
If you are planning to buy car in next year, then look out for offers on this car sometime they have special like 0% interest or price reduced by $2000.....and that is the time I got mine.....I recently bought this car in Jan 2015 and it is going superb so far.............. !!! Toyota is good but they will rip you off with extra $8000 - $10,000 for the same quality that Hyundai gives you.........This is my second Hyundai before this I had Hyundai Lantra which I use...Read more
d for 7 year!! ...Thank you Hyundai for providing value for money car. The only negative things I can say that be-careful of dodge Sydney dealers...!!! few helpful tips if you are buying new car 1. Never take paint or fabric or body protection from dealers when you purchase your car..........those things are not required and if you want them then you can always get those after purchase............. 2. I didn't buy any extra mechanical or any other kind of warranty from dealers..........use your instinct if you are going to sell the car after 5 year then no point to get any extra warranty.......if you are using it more then trust me ....it is better to give money to mechanic at that time then to give it to car dealer who might not be in business by that time.........!! 3. Always visit 3 dealers and get the price and ask for best price before you leave show room.........!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
