Such a great drivers car.
I recently upgraded from a i30 Elite and this is light years ahead in all aspects. The power available is massive and so responsive but when left in economy mode is cheaper to run possibly due to the 7 speed DCT and turbo. One feature I had not expected is the remote start from my mobile, this is so handy in hot weather when parked in full sun. From now onwards this is a must have on any car I purchase. The electronic safety suite/warning system is fantastic, for a vehicle in this price range it is truly worth the price increase over ba...Read more
sic models. My first encounter with Android Auto and so far I fail to see why motorists rave about it. The mapping in the regular Hyundai system appeals more for me. I run an iPod for my music which is superior unless you pay a fee for advert free. One small issue is the lack of exterior boot release switch. Okay, if you have the key fob in your pocket otherwise go to the floor release on the drivers side. The boot will auto unlock after 4 seconds if the car is locked and you do have the key fob on you so I guess this compensates. I have yet to see the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System working, apparently this was not activated in my car prior to delivery, this will be corrected very soon so no real complaint there. Overall very pleased with my purchase, just over 2000 klm to date. Surprisingly I have only seen one other identical car to mine in 6 weeks, living in a rural area explains that no doubt. As a daily drive this car is perfect for me. January 16th 2020 Update: A great drivers car Just a small update to my review of 1 week ago. I have just been advised by Hyundai head office in Sydney that this model Elantra does not have Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The data provided in the various manuals and the Hyundai Auto Link App is incorrect in this regard. No use crying over it but a bit disappointed. A RACQ tech guy I spoke with who drives the i30 SR has the system in his car and he could not understand why it is not included in the Elantra Sport Premium. For any potential buyers of this Elantra do not be put off, it is still a fantastic vehicle, the best car I have owned to date, about 11 so far.Purchased in December 2021.
