Has anyone had a windscreen replaced & after replacement experienced more cabin noise & wind noise from side Windows?
2 answers
I just replaced my Santa Fe DM With the new Santa Fe TM model and one of the things I noticed was when looking at the information was that the windscreen was acoustic. Not sure about the DM model but This may explain if you’ve had a windscreen fitted that is not acoustic why you are getting wind noise. Hope that helps you. Cheers

I have a 2013 Santa Fe Highlander and have trouble with the air conditioner on long trips. After about 3hours travelling on highways, the air flow seems to be blocked, and what little air is detected is warm, not cool. If we stop for lunch, the air conditioner works fine again. Service checks can not replicate this problem. Sound familiar to anyone?

have u checked and changed the cabin filter behind the glove box
Thanks for answering my question Stephen. The car is being serviced next month (85K) so I will ask the dealership to check this.
We have recently had the same problem on a long trip. Changed the filter as suggested but didn't work. Took it to a mechanic who detected that the gas was low and after regassing problem solved. Has something to do with the low gas level causing the aircon to freeze which decreases the airflow. Hop that helps.

Hi everyone
I have a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Elite
Does anyone else’s stereo automatically turn on once any door opens in the car? It’s extremely frustrating because if I’m only grabbing something from the car it stays on until I turn it OFF using the push button And it also doesn’t do this every single time so it can’t be a feature

I brought a Santa Fe 2017 highlander seven months ago which I pay cash and with out a trade in either I'm not very happy with the sound system first of no CD player. The second thing is the sub woofer in the back made a popping noise soon as I picked up and drove it out the i made appointment to get the customer service to look at it the woofer needed to be replaced it sounded good for a week than the popping noise came back in the same place which was the sub woofer again so took the car back and the dealers told me that could not find anything wrong with the sound system perhaps I might have to change my type of music well I seen red how dear these people say what music I can play in my own car that I OWN out right. The popping sound still in the speaker and I have ever turned the bass down to 0 which it sounds very crappy to much high tones even if I put all tones down below the settings that are programed in head set already . So question is what else can be done about the noise

I have 2012 DM Santa Fe with 120,000klm owned it from new. It has developed a single clunk when I move 5 to 15 metres in reverse, has anyone experienced anything similar, and do they have an easy fix? Other than taking it to the doctor's of course.

Hi Dan,
Did you ever get an answer for this or a resolution ? I have the same issue - the clunk only happens intermittently - but the mileage is the same as yours.
Thanks
I have not heard from any one, it has been in for service since and mentioned it to the technician and believed it was a sensor in the drive train which they have sorted. Haven't had any issues to date.
Hi Dan,
thanks for the quick reply. That is very interesting information - as what I didn't mention was that my rear diff "blew up" at about 108k - big crack down the middle and oil all over the ground (was going about 15km at the time...). Anyway car was 2 months outside the warranty - but in the interest of customer goodwill the repair bill of approximately $6K was shared between myself and Hyundai (and much appreciated by myself). However the "clunk" only appeared after that diff replacement - and your reply makes me think that *maybe* said sensor was somehow displaced at the time. Would you be prepared to share the name/location of the garage which serviced the car ? In private if necessary ?
Many thanks.

I have a Santa Fe 2014 diesel, maybe 45,000km on it. I forgot to put gas in it and it died. Went and got petrol, started the car up, it didn't start at first. On the maybe 5th try, it started, took it straight to the gas station and put more petrol in. Now my trunk door won't close. It comes down when I push the button, but it won't lock and the door light in the front won't turn off. Some electrical fault maybe due to the car running out of petrol??

Hi Ken.i have a Auto.2011 Santa Fe.I really loved it till it just cut out while driving along i could not steer my car.Just lucky i wsnt in front of a Truck.Go onto Hyundai complaints to view the problems before you buy.Hyundai said never heard of the problem before. Ballonney.look on the site.
You don't want a manual. The clutch slave is a concentric unit inside the bell housing which means everything has to come out to replace it. Also modern clutches are basically crap compared compared to older cars they just don't last. The auto is a beauty get the auto.

Some diesel cars advise to drive once a week at high speed to clear out the filter, is it true in the Santa Fe?
1 answer
I have owned 3 diesel vehicles and drive a medium sized truck regularly. The advice I was given is to drive for 30 km, at least once per week - the speed doesn't matter. Nothing to do with the filter, it's to burn off contaminants which built up in the engine.

Hi I have a 2014 Santa Fe highlander the l/h front seat warmer stays on with middle light staying on and the one on the right of it flashing all the time seats seem to be warm. Any suggestions to turn it off? cheers
2 answers
Try disconnecting the battery then reconnecting it after a few minutes and see if this resets it.
Hi Ian
Sounds like the sensor is playing up. You can pull the fuse to the seats and see if the light continues to flash, if yes then its the control sensor for the seats. You should still be under warranty for that so go see your dealer. If not covered ask him to contact Hyundai for you regarding meeting most or some of the cost as it should last for years. Could also be the wiring loom under the seat is partially come unstuck, get them to check for you.
Good luck and all the best.
Cheers
