Terrible. Do not buy this mattress.
I purchased the king size version of this mattress. Two major problems with it.
First, it is too heavy to move. And the delivery service will not assist to unwrap, remove wrapping, or move mattress in house. Apparently ikea prohibits them from doing this.
Second, it does not fit the bed - ikea mattresses are not made for Australian sized beds. This is not made clear.
I will return it to ikea - but unfortunately cannot get a refund. Ikea only offer exchange. Again, this is not made clear.
A good lesson not to buy from ikea. Never again.
Purchased in November 2021 at IKEA for A$1,099.00.

The best mattress we've ever slept on
The mattress is super comfortable and supportive. We had a plush pillowtop mattress costing $3000 before this and both of us developed lower backache from sleeping on it.
It was the first thing we noticed with the Hidrasund. Our lower backs felt relief as the mattress supported it. The huge difference in softness took some getting used to but after a week it felt natural and super comfortable. We are both sleeping deeper than we did in the last ten years and look forward to going to sleep.
The only negative is the smell. For a mattress that is ...Read more

The cool side of your pillow!
We were moving house and needed a bed for the spare room- we had bought the Hyllstad mattress from Ikea and were happy with it (see previous review) but had heard about the natural materials in this mattress. We put the old mattress in the spare room and got this for ourselves!
It’s quite a firm mattress - a bit but not too much firmer than our previous. The natural materials feel great though. When you sleep on it it’s like you don’t generate any heat from the mattress like synthetic ones do. It’s a hefty price tag at $799 for a queen but w...Read more
hen we looked at other stores they just didn’t compare price wise. In a few we were being offered a basic spring mattress for the same price and at Ikea we got NATUAL latex?! The best way to describe it is: when you move from one position to another- it’s like flipping your pillow to the cool side! Very glad we upgraded!!!Similar opinion? We tried the Hisrasund med-firm at Ikea. My concern is the edge felt soft when I lay on it. We're looking at getting a king, because with kids,, it's nice to have some extra room when they join us in bed, but that means parents sleep on the edge.
