Bought the smaller version of Instachill a couple of years ago and cannot for the life of me understand all the negative reviews. I run it with a fan and it works a charm. Living in Sydney there can some days that are quite humid, but my unit copes very well on those uncomfortable days. Always remember when running an air cooler like Instachill you must put it near an open door or window, otherwise humidity will build up in the room. Only down side is that it is too noisy to have on whilst sleeping.
Purchased in at Show TV Shop for $350.

Do u need a Windows open
With my 28ex instachil I keep blinds closed so no you don't need to but that is an option if you want?

All of these units are utter rubbish you are better off buying a fan and saving money. They should be removed from the market. The marketing is dubious at best.
No book ..... where do l put the water in the top or the bottom?

The water tank is located at the back of the unit. Its like a drawer that can be pulled out to fill in water....
