Found out I’ve been paying since 2001 and I need to speak to someone as I found a glitch in there policy I’ve lost$7,000 as they said I cancelled but when you go to a higher amount they stop the one your on and as the guy on phone said it is not a bank so when you start new one you lose the money you’ve paid.

I would like to say that we are so very pleased with the way insurance line handled our recent claim .
The lady was very helpful and totally supportive. We had the money for our mums funeral the next day.

Endless phone calls for 8 months
I don’t know where did they get my number. They’ve just keep on calling me every single day since last year!! Even when I told them I was not Interested in them and won’t consider to buy any insurance at all as I was only a student!!
What make they think that if a 25 year old international student will buy a funeral insurance overseas! Plz stop the call!

Unprofessional, disrespectful
They have been calling me to join for 4months straight up to 6times a day. Always politely refused, just to have another operator calling me in 5 min.They are pesting me and I don’t even see the end of this.

I don't know where they possibly got my number from but many times over the last week I had kept getting calls that would end as soon as I picked up. Today, someone finally spoke to me and they were from here. I told them I am not interested and thought that was it. Later in the evening they had called me again. I asked them to remove my number from the list. Let's see if that works.
I had never even looked into this company prior. If anything, calling me like this is going to make me NOT consider them in the future.

Stop calling me!!! Hundreds times in a month!!!
This company had really high policy fee! I refused after they quote me. But after that they keep calling me all the time! Such a harassment! And when I ask them to remove me from their list, they hung up on me! Such a bad manners!

Think again don’t be in the position I’m in now
Unfortunately I didn’t do the research into this company and reading some of the reviews others are in same position. After the death of my mother I decided to get a funeral policy for myself and husband this was in 2004 my payment now has gone up to $110.70 a fortnight. I’m 70 and husband 77 I am retiring he has retired the payments will be very quite difficult to maintain. Other people I realise are in the same position they have agreed to reduce my payments BUT my policy will not increase it remains at what it is now. How can this be allowed...Read more

Don’t do it
Don’t take out funeral insurance with any company. I took out a policy for my dad 17 years ago. With inflation it just keeps going up. My policy is for $7,500 & over 17yrs I have paid over $20,400. If you cancel you get nothing back. My dad is now 80, if he lives for 10/20 more years I don’t know if I can afford it. Bank money into an account. Funeral insurance is a waste of money.

Disgusting
I have just found out the same thing is happening to my mother re Insurance Line funeral policy. Mum is paying an amount every fortnight from her pension payment and yes, it has to continue until she turns 90. If she cancels the policy she will lose all the money paid in. The policy was taken out for $6,000 and to date she has paid over $10,000. She will not receive the excess payment either. I agree that Insurance Line are thieves and they do prey on the elderly.
We should all take this to the Insurance Ombudsman. I am.

Drives Me Absolutely Barmy
Have had dozens of spam calls from this company. They give up for a few months and then start again. I just block each number they use to call me. I must have at least 25 by now. They got my number when I bought some furniture and signed up as a member to get a 10% discount. I wish I had paid full price, because the furniture people sold my number onto insurance line. No business ethics, just sell, sell, sell.

I've never even been on their website or even thought about getting insurance with them yet they keep insisting on calling me.
Try and get people are actually want insurance, don't try and get people who aren't interested.

INSURANCELINE doesn't have the funds to actually pay you.
I would give a minus 5 if I could. Apart from their "trained customer service" that is all I can really comment nicely on. I really hope these idiots read these comments because apart from the fact that I work in the legal system, I am ultimately inclined to sue them for false and misleading advertising under consumer law.

That was a load of crap and we knew it. I have never in my life been that stressed out and on top of all that I had someone close to me pass away, I ended up getting really sick from being so stressed out on top of being overly emotional. We are just so lucky we had an understanding funeral director. INSURANCELINE... FYI FUNERAL DEPOSITS ARE PAID BEFORE THE FUNERAL NOT AFTER!!! We called again on the Monday after her funeral (keep in mind it's been a week since we made the claim, 24 hour fast processing.. yeah right), after we spoke to them and said how would you feel if you were in our shoes? Mind you the Thursday before her funeral I called and absolutely abused their claims correspondent, I did not want to hear a bar of it!!!! I asked to speak to their accounts team and he said that "they weren't trained to take phone calls" yeah right mate, not trained to talk bull if what you meant. So after all that on the Monday they called back and said they were going to transfer the money straight away and we received it that night after DAILY FOLLOW UPS AND CONSTANT HARASSING. I have now decided to pull all our family accounts from them and am still contemplating to sue. WARNING to anyone who joins, the truth is they don't actually have these funds to pay you which is why they take weeks on end to settle it or may not even pay you. Opt for a Level Policy Only.
When buying a Funeral policy ONLY OPT for a LEVEL POLICY if they trap you into a STEPPED POLICY that means your policy will go up and up and UP!!!! So only get LEVEL POLICY!!!!!!!

They con the elderly
Insurance Line funeral policy. Checking parents plan today and they are paying a fortune every fortnight (a pension payment) and it will not stop until they turn 90. If they cancel the policy they loose all the money they have paid in. Would have been better to put money in an investment account. Insurance Line you are thieves. They prey on the elderly.
I would have looked into this sooner but only found out they had the policy my parents are 85 and 84.

This company has phoned me FOUR TIMES!! Each time I have stated clearly I am not interested. They keep harrassing me. Just respect my wishes and stop already. When I am ready to make a claim, I'll definitely not be using this mob!

I don 't understand why there are so many negative comments on here. Insuranceline is underwritten by Tal Insurance, and Insuranceline is one of the biggest insurance companies in Australia.

Worst company ever
They have been calling me everyday for 3 weeks, I told them the first time they called I didn't want any insurance, but their call centre kept calling me, when I asked to speak to a manager she was rude and didn't care and I'm still getting calls.

Hi Marie.no way they will not refund you.but they will gladly cancel it and keep your money.l started a new policy recently so it would not increase every year.So l lost all the money l had put into my policy over the last 10 years.

I was a member for 7 years and changed my policy to a no increase premium.So it does not go up each year.BUT they started me a new policy and I lost all of the money I had put into the previous account. Also is it right that they cancel your policy after you turn 69.
I had a friend who was 79 and they cancelled his policy because he had only been a member for 2 years and they said he was too old to be a member and returned 3 payments to him.

Insurance line lowered my payments which I’m really grateful for BUT since I’ve been seen on TV voicing my concerns for myself and the many other people in this position I’ve been asked to carry on and get more information and advice as surely this is unacceptable business practice.
