I was unaware that using Intergrain Exterior Ultraclear was the incorrect product for use on my white basketball backboard. The finish is discoloured. Can I apply Easy Surface Preparation (ESP) over the top, then repaint and coat with a marine varnish or do I really have to sand the board back and start the whole process from scratch again?
Wondering how you went with this? I am looking for a clear coat over white furniture. The current product I tried discoloured, and was hoping Intergrain would achieve a better result.
How do I remove it once it dries from frosted glass.
I used this extensively on the external cedar windows and doors. Unfortunately it has started to blister in many areas and totally peel off in a few small spots. While I loved the original finish, I dread having to remove it all
Hi. I wish to protect from weather a cane lounge suite. Is Intergrain exterior ultra clear marine grade suitable for this purpose? this product was recommended to me. Would pure tung oil be a better option? thanks

Have a look at this Intergrain product. It might suit your purpose. The standard colour product will most likely end up slightly darker and could suit what you are trying to achieve.

I was recommended to use this as a top coat for furniture that we have outside that I painted white. It has left a brown milky colouring. Have I been recommended the incorrect product?
You have been recommended an incorrect product, I am afraid. Intergrain UltraClear Exterior is not recommended for furniture but for exterior windows and doors. In your application, I would have recom...

For children's toys I would suggest Livos Kunos universal oil. Completely food safe. Another suggestion: Cabots benchtop clear; also certified food safe. Especially for teething infants!
I have a Kwila timber deck (mix of exposed and covered) With several coats of Ultra Deck That are 2 years old. Can I cover it with Ultra Clear to get a more glossy and durable cover?
Hi Lindsay thanks for reaching out, UltraClear Exterior is not suitable for walk on surfaces so we wouldn't recommend over coating your deck with it! Just clean with an oxalic acid cleaner and refresh with a new coat or two of Intergrain UltraDeck.
Thanks for that. My Ultra Deck finish remains tacky for several weeks and always seems dirty or dusty with no gloss finish. Is there something I can do to make it look a bit more gloss and lift the finish? I am in Townsville, dry tropics.
Hi Lindsay, if it is still tacky there may be an issue preventing the coating from fully curing. Often it's because coats were applied thick or too soon after each other, if you have some left over pr...
Read moreoduct our first recommendation is to clean with UltraPrep Timber Cleaner again and apply a very thin coat of UltraDeck to restart the curing process (it should only take 7 days to stop being tacky in ideal conditions). What is the best way and product to strip (remove) ultra clear from "spotted gum"?
When this product failed on me, the advice from the manufacturer was to sand it back to bare timber before re-coating with another product. I strongly recommend this as I have gone through the process.
Hi I have used this product on an oudoor painted rust wall. It has gone milky. Please advise
Hi Nicolina.
Intergrain isn't suited to metal or rust surfaces. Try Penetrol instead. But you'll have to sand the job, removing all the Intergrain.
