this model does not move any air. We have had IXL products in our other 3 houses without any issue.This is the first time we have had a NEO and it does not do the job. We have spoken to IXL and they insist we need to put a 2nd unit in because our bathroom is too big for it to cope. My response is....but its not moving ANY air so 2 units are suddenly going to do the job? twice nothing is still nothing!!!! we spent quite some time with IXL customer service and we just kept going round in circles. We even offered to pay for their agent to come and have a look and asked what would be the recourse if iit was found that the unit was not sucking any air....their response? buy a 2nd unit. I give up!!!!

The main heat lamp failed twice and the third heat lamp did not work. When inspected the contacts had corroded and arced. The fan stopped working after 2 years. Looking for a replacement. An expensive disappointment.

* Installed 3.5 years ago as part of full bathroom renovation, electrician and builder said installation was a real pain. They hate these neo units.
* Installed in only a very small bathroom 2.4m x 2.0m x 2.4m high, with external venting to eaves only 1.2m away from unit and the extractor fan cannot cope! walls, mirror and ceiling covered in condensation after every shower. Ceiling repainted once already. Not fit for purpose. Have to leave bathroom window open and let in the cold in winter or heat in summer.....
* LED downlights (supposed to have a very long lifespan) have Been replaced twice already - very expensive.

Previous unit, while it didnt look as good, out performed this unit by a huge margin. How could IXL get it so wrong.

Had the original Ixl tastic it was excellent
When we renovated updated to the neo single it has never extracted the moisture from the mirror it is three years old & now the fan has stopped, I feel that the opening is now too big for anything different without the expense of a plasterer & painter as well extremely disappointing I accept that it is out of warranty however when you consider (two people in the house) it is not what you would call reasonable based on normal expectations & on actual usage... they are all show & no go

The product is very difficult to install and you need additional switch wires in it so to install in a existing house it will require chasing! If you want a expensive electrical bill aswell as a expensive and over priced fitting then get this light. Id give it 0 stars if I could.

Just had one installed already the fascia has come down after 1 day can anyone advise what the problem might . Was installed by a licenced electrician so not sure what to do .

I installed one of these for customer, worst product Ive ever installed. Warranty claim within 1 month, IXLs electrician came out and billed my customer for an apparent wrong wiring??? They came out for a noisy fan??? Never fixed the noisey, I ended paying they invoice to keep a customer happy. Most disgraceful company I have ever felt with. Flat out refuse to install and IXL product

Bought 3 of this product in June 2015, within one month we had to claim for the warranty because 4 of the light bulbs were no longer working. Now, one of the fan is no longer working with one light on each products no longer working. just because each has 3 lights, we did not really want to go to too much trouble every time the lights blown.
We bought at the same time a cheaper version ($180 compared with $529 for the IXL), and the cheaper one is still working perfectly.

The fan does not extract steam at all. We had this installed by a professional electrician who has ducted it to outside the house. The fan can’t even hold a piece of paper.
I don’t believe this product is fit for purpose at all. Given the poor reviews on this product it should be recalled.

Horrible product. We have 3 in our house. 2 of them switch on when they feel like it. If the heat lamp is on for over 10 minutes it trips the fan and the 3 LED globes start strobing - grateful I’m not epileptic. Can’t turn it off. At times they come on middle of the night and strobe. I think they’re haunted. Waiting for my walls to start oozing blood and complete the house of horrors ambiance of my bedroom. Crap product and we’ve used a few in our buildings as property developers. Never again. The horror, the horror !

Have had our ixl tastic neon for 4years and the fan has only worked intermittently for the last 6 mths. Now not working at all.How long should we have expected this product to have lasted.

Had a problem with the surround falling off, had my electrician have a look and he can see that the product has a manufacturing defect.
Contacted IXL customer service only to be told that it is probably the way it is installed.
This is not an acceptable response from the company, the product cost versus the quality, not fit for purpose . (DONT BUY) NOT WORTH THE HASSLE .

Very, very poor steam extraction. Have had problems with it since installation. Now neither the heater and the fan work. For such a well known company, it is a shame that they charge so much for such a bad product. Shame we got rid of the old one, as it worked just fine but not as slim line and modern. Totally useless product.

Well it has lights and kinda heats but doesn’t clear steam at all. Walls drip with water after a shower, our old one worked much better. . And the recommendations to open a window or door, if I wanted to do that I wouldn’t need an extractor fan would. The casing is very flimsy also.

We first purchased one for our onsuite but the heater lamp didn't work once it was installed so it had to be exchanged for a new unit. At that time they told us the heater lamps weren't replacable within the unit. In the small onsuite it worked quite well but last winter once again heater stopped working. On removing the unit we could see that the connections for the heater had all corroded away. If the unit had been made with non corrodable materials it would have been a great idea considering its used in a hot steamy area.
We had purchased a second one for our other bathroom reno but it really should have been a double, neither fan or heater work very well in there. Definitely would not purchase another one

We purchased the dual unit and it has worked well, fan and heat lamps have been good. 2 of the 3 LED globes however have blown with less than 50 hours use, we now use the bathroom's other LED light for general lighting rather than the IXL

We installed 3 of the Tastic Neo Dual Silver units its as part of a new house build. While the units themselves look great, the inline fans struggle to clear steam from each bathroom. We followed the guidance from IXL and the units are somewhat oversized for each bathroom. Each is installed with <3m of ducting and using only the supplied accessories. Despite this, the bathrooms fill up with steam and the walls are dripping wet after a single shower. The fan units are not obstructed as we have removed the backflow flaps/dampers to test, I think the inline fan provided just has very poor performance. Based on this, as well as their cost (over $640 each) I can't recommend these units.
