Not Happy !
Ordered a 29-5 ft Jayco Optimum on the 8/9/22 put down a $20,000 deposit was told it would take 10 months its now been 15 months .Jayco have done nothing but lie to us, they have changed the delivery date 5 times, they have made $1000 off our deposit..We sold our Winnebago in 1 day because they told us ours would be ready at the end of September..You can't contact anyone but the dealer and they know nothing and Perth Jayco manager just keeps changing what he says from month to month . We are wondering if we should seek legal advice because our MH is built and just sitting in Victoria somewhere ..Has anyone else had this problem?
Such a disappointment
How disappointing to spend our hard earned savings on a caravan, supporting
a Australian made product and a local Bendigo vic business to recieve such a poor quality product. In the 6 months we have owned this van from new, it has spent the majority of time back in Jaycos yard getting repaired. We have had a dint bogged up, fridge repairs, kitchen cabinetry falling apart, the external stone guarding peeling off because it was only stuck on with double sided tape, all the screw covers falling off, and the list goes on. We have used the
Worst company to deal with. Warranty issues took 10 months to fix.
It took 10 months to resolve a major warranty issue. Worst company to deal with.
Jayco head office refused to give Managers name or email details. Was only able to contact them on their info email address even though we had major complaints. Eventually after 8 months the Warranty manager called us.
Very disappointing.
Ceiling of a new van was De laminating.
Took 10 months to fix.
Will never deal with Jayco again.
Stay away from theses people and their products!
There are much better products available, shop around…
Bad advice and service, be careful
On the advice of Jayco Darwin I used their recommended repairer, here is the exact story. Their provider A2Y Darwin.
I booked my Fait Ducato in for a service 2 weeks ago advising I wanted a 25 k log book service and the air filter needs replaced because I found a mouse in the air box a few weeks ago.
Today I get the van serviced $600 cash, I marked a screw on the air box with white paint, back at the camp site after I collected my van I notice the same white mark so I take the lid of and low and behold no new filter and not even blow out with
... Read morean air hose! So I call them going over the above and get this nonsense story, first there are no air filters in Darwin, that may be so but he had 2 weeks to get one in, why did he not blow it out instead as is best next practice? He thought it best not to bother? Really a filter chewed at by a mouse and it’s best to leave it alone, even if anything he said was true the fact he didn’t tell me any of this till I checked says much. Also the fact he still charged me full price for the service but didn’t do the work shows his dishonesty, give him a big miss you have no idea what he is doing or not doing to your vehicle . I added to this after coming across a recent traveller who put their van in with this mob and it sat 3 weeks till it was fixed and all it was was a faulty switch not sensing the brake being depressed on starting, cost them all that time and $1,300, seriously all give them a BIG miss! Knocked together with very cheap parts.
Sadly, we decided to buy a used 2016 Jayco swift wind up camp trailer with pull out beds, thinking something that is fairly new would not cause problems. I was wrong. On first inspection van appeared beautiful, Unfortunately I'm no expert on caravans.
5 months after owning and being out on only 3 weekend trips. Front winding feet would not go up. Had to be repplaced, wall came away from main frame leaving huge gaps where water would pour in if it had of rained, couldn't get main bed back in due to rail problems,
rail on small bed looks like ca
Worst Purchase I have ever made.
Downhill after giving a deposit. Jayco Journey Outback 17.58.3
-The dealership tried to sell me a van that was already allocated to another customer, fair enough but my sales person was fired on the spot after internal arguments. I selected another van. Then the fun started.
-Delays in delivery - damage to the van on delivery, unsecure wheel arches, dented external table, unfinished cabinet edges, drain pipe bent and not draining.
-First drive only 1 brake worked correctly and hub overheated. 60 degrees for 3 hubs and 165 degrees for another.
Nearly everything is made on the cheap
2021 Jayco journey touring . All the lights come on in one switch very annoying. The The hinges on the tunnel boot break. The management system app won't update and the water tanks give a false reading. I will never buy another Jayco after this one complete junk

We went to look at purchasing a caravan. We were there for almost half an hour and not one staff member asked us if we needed assistance. Four staff members walked straight passed us and didn’t even say so much as a hello. Your vans aren’t just sold on product alone but the service you give. We’ll go elsewhere.
Disappointed, disgusted, very unhappy
A few yrs ago, i bought a jpod outback in 2020, it had to go back to jayco 5 times, due to it leaking and faulty. Was never fully rectified.
And a yr later, i managed to sell jpod, 19k even though was obly 12 months old.
After selling jpod, i was conned into buying a starcraft bushpack 15ft double bunk version.
Well what a waste of 50k, it has structual problems, electrical problems, plumbing problems, as well, the shower walls became delaminated, and came away from walls, i did contact jayco, but was never fixed, also had electrical problems,

Cash Cow Jayco service centre at Nowra
Dropped of my new 20.5 motorhome at 8.30am as previously arranged they were unsure about service? And how long it would be. Called them back at 12.30pm and said it was ready to pick up ( probably 3 hrs service?)
Cost $363 Thats ( $120 an Hr). and what's worse they didn't even fill out and stamp the service or clean up their mess. Disgraceful Jayco.
Poor customer service
People normally only do these after negative experiences effecting the rating but bugger it stuff Jayco. They have really ticked me off. Done all my research have cash waiting and im still waiting for them to get back to me over a week later for multiple quotes. Typical of customer service these days. Its not that hard surely.

Took my Jayco Heritage to Mackay Jayco to get insurance work done, a new awning & back bathroom window. These things took about 5 months. The insurance company kept calling me for updates as the lady I was dealing with was so slack in keeping me updated I was always calling her.So disappointed in the service

Never buying from Jayco Again
This is one of the four motorhomes i have purchased in 25 months, I started a motorhome hire business, how can any business survive with this product, one and when i get the 2023 model fixed i am selling it, and never buying another Jayco product again.
I picked up the motorhome on the 17th of March this year, brand new, I paid $178,077.01, not to mention it took 10 very long days after I paid for the motorhome, to be registered?, I drove it 300kms not knowing it was unregistered let alone insured until I got home, I was lucky I didn't have
So it took year to get my decor sorted
Caravan brought in July 2022 and finally got the correct cushion today. Horrible service and i hate the way i was treated so much that I'm selling my Jayco and going back to my UK Caravan. But in true Jayco style they don't stand behind their product and the warranty isn't transferable. If you want to keep your sanity DON'T BUY A JAYCO

They didn’t put the TARE weight on my Jayco Outback compliance plate. I asked them to send me a new one with TARE weight on it. They said no.
Very stingy company. They have gone cheap and not worth buying anymore!!! I regret buying a Jayco.
