Terrible for audiobooks, not much better for music
Unlike other Bluetooth speakers I've used, when I play an audiobook through this speaker, the sound connection cuts out at any point if there's a pause for longer than a moment. As a result, audiobooks constantly have the first syllable of a sentence dropped and your brain has to focus on filling in the gaps instead of listening to the book. The same thing happens for breaks between songs.
Volume is very low, even at max volume and the sound quality is lacking.
Purchased at ALDI for $40.

Massive let down.
This device is awful. As soon as I turned it on I cringed at the crunchy clunky button and the horrible boot sound audio which has a clear pop at the start and finish of the sound.
The devices output is tinny, peaks on the input if phone bluetooth level is above ~90%, and if you try to EQ any bass at all the speaker simply can't handle it.
The buttons are crunchy and programmed by an idiot. Long press for volume and power; if you press the power button you get loud static as it switches to radio instead of turning off and you're stuck with i...
Read moret until it registers a long press to turn off. If you try to change the volume it skips your track. You have to hold the volume button and take a gamble at what volume you'll end up with. So many buttons and features but they're all terrible, I'd rather a feature poor speaker with 3 decent buttons (power, volume up and volume down). I bought this to replace a lost Sony SRS XB-01 which was an impressive speaker for it's small size. This JBL was actually more expensive than the little Sony but is rubbish (both bought on clearance from Aldi to use in home workshop). To say I'm extremely disappointed and bewildered by the positive reviews is an understatement.Purchased in at ALDI for $30.

Not good on motorcycle over 60-70kms per hour
I mounted the unit behind my fairing to keep it out of the wind. Unable to hear music when cruising on highways over 60-70kms. Works fine at low speeds though.

Good sound for its size; not so good for cycling
This bluetooth speaker/radio has a richer sound than many similar-sized speakers.
For cycling it has two limitations:
1. the speaker popped out of its holder and fell onto the road, the fist time I rode up a kerb. I subsequently added a tether through the carabiner, so that next time it will stay with the bike;
2. the speaker is loud enough for off-road cycle paths, but on a busy road it can be drowned out by traffic noise.

Naaah!
I bought this speaker from Aldi in Qld Australia to use cycling in both Bluetooth & FM radio mode.
I had high hopes.
It’s going back to Aldi.
FM radio receiver may work satisfactorily if closer to the transmitter. Intermittently scratchy and dropping signals.
I know navigating a Bluetooth connection can be tricky
