I absolutely love this car.
I use this car for local driving, longer distances driving and 4x4. Use it daily and needs to get serviced once a year. Not had any issues and still got a while to run on the warranty. I love the car, its fun to drive and you feel like a boss driving it. Cant get enough of it.
Purchased in November 2021 for $33,000.00.

LOVE IT, LOVE ME BACK
My jeep is a 2012 sport jk, I use it a lot, commuting, traveling, 4wding, shopping, city, beach driving.
Already has 140.000kms, no problems, it has been the most reliable car, I had to change the battery twice but in 7 years I think is fair. I service it regularly and look after it. Still drives like when I picked it up form the dealer.
Purchased in June 2021 for $40.00.

Great little vehicle
Whether we're climbing a hill or heading to work, our little 08 wrangler is great fun to drive. It's not the most comfortable vehicle getting around, but it is a serious off road vehicle so you can't expect much there. We were amazed at how quiet it is in the cabin with the hard top on and while it is quite basic on the inside, there is really very little you could ask for. My wife and I are quite tall and find that the interior has plenty of space for us, and the fact you can remove the rear seats is fantastic. That being said though, with the...Read more
seats in, boot space is minimal. On the other hand, if you had the top down, the storage spaces that are there can be locked, which is quite handy. One drawback is that with its punchy 3.8l v6, it is very thirsty and with fuel prices on the rise, it's not that friendly to your back pocket. If you're looking for a tough little adventure vehicle, go no further. But if you want comfort, economy and space, this might not be ideal for you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Biggest mistake in selling it.
Loved the JK 2011 75th Anniversary Jeep. I sold it in 2016 and bought a Mazda CX3, never again I hate this car!
My Jeep was comfortable to drive, a good turning circle for it's size and people didn't pull out on your left, they would reconsider this action!
Drove to Sydney a couple of times and could get out of the car and not feel sore, unlike the Mazda CX3!
The only down side would be petrol consumption, but I did get it down to 9 ltrs per 100 klm on a long trip, which was very good considering the size of the motor. On average it would be ...Read more

Pleasantly surprised by the details!
After many years of searching for a replacement for the ever reliable Landover Defender 110 TD5, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport CRD was found and quickly purchased. With 147kw and 6 speed shift, it has much more torque and less weight so is much quicker off the line. The steering is surprisingly light and precise, while the wind and tyre noise is much less than expected. Little details like the easily removed rear seats are a nice touch. There's the expected rocking from sitting a couple of feet higher, but it's easy to get used to. The cruise control is handy and the economy is surprisingly good! The wait has been worth it!

Solid offroader with rubbish customer support
Bought my current Wrangler as a used with 50K on the odometer. It had never been off the road before I got it. It's 4 years later now and I've done over 170K in it. Okay for starters this is a proper 4x4 and not a AWD. It has Solid axles front and rear with a strong transmission with transfer case. The Engines power and torque are average at best, but it's an under-stressed 3.8l V6 pushed 1.8 tons around. Over the life of the vehicle my average fuel economy is 11.4L/100km which is 80% Highway driving. Fuel economy gets a lot worse if you've got...Read more
a heavy foot, 4x4ing or carrying a heavy load. Worst I saw was 16.8L/100km towing a broken down car on trailer. OFFROAD; the vehicle is very capable, just set your tyres to the right pressure for the conditions and it will go anywhere. With slightly wider tyres (265vs245) I usually run 13-1psi in sand, and 20-25psi on rocky and gravelly tracks. High range is quite long in the tooth doing barely 2000rpm at 110kph, but it has a quite short low range where the engines mild performance can be best used. Maximum torque is from 2000-4500rpm so keep in that range for best results. ONROAD; it's average. The solid axles lend to a rougher ride, but because a Wrangler is Coil sprung front and rear it handles quite well for what it is. If it had leaf springs it wouldn't be anywhere near as nice. Fuel economy can be bad if you pushing a headwind due to the box shape. Slow down to 100 and you'll save a fair bit of juice. QUIRKS; Obviously it's that Roof that you can remove. I generally only use the hard top and not bother with the soft top. The soft top tends to be fairly noisy, but the hard top is much quieter if seated properly. You can get wind leak noises if it's slightly misaligned. I've never had a problem with water leaks on either Soft or Hard top. Over the years as the rubber seals have withered a bit the wind noise has got worse, but it's not terrible. Tyre noise doesn't penetrate the cabin much at all due to the Ladder subframe-chassis setup. The heaters are very good and the AC works fairly good too, but there is no cabin filter for the 07-09 model. PARTS and SERVICING; This is where it gets bad. Quite frankly Fiat Chryslers track record in Australia for customer support and after sales service is poor, and it's a well warranted record. I had an ECU adjustment done that cost $75 to stop the headlights turning on when I remote unlock. Two weeks later the ECU magically reset itself and their answer was 'they just do that'. Absolute crap. Getting parts can be nightmare, and the price mark up is crazy. I wanted to replace a full door seal...$432AUD for the genuine Mopar part and a 2-4 week wait. I looked up a USA aftermarket parts supplier. $140AUD after conversion for the EXACT SAME genuine Mopar part and to my door in 4 days freight included. It's not all bad though as parts and mods are readily available from a multitude of USA suppliers, and they are happy to ship. There are some aftermarket suppliers in Australia, but you have to pick and choose as some are good and fair priced, and others are just scum trying to scalp people. CONCLUSION; It's a solid offroad machine that handles okay on road, and that 'Roof off' feeling is awesome in summer months. Just make sure you get a good one that hasn't been abused. Fuel economy is fair for it's size and shape. If you can handle a bit of wind noise it's good fun.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good truck
This is now my third review on this vehicle. It just gets better. Have now done 155k and not one single problem. 20 inch coopers, twin exhaust, CAI, throttle body spacer and 10mm ignition leads and I get 12/100 round town and 11/100 open road at 100 - 105 kph and also drives a lot smoother. In addition use 95 octane and this greatly improved economy and smoothness. It has adequate power and torque but a bit sluggish on open road - overtaking is definitely a 5th gear job. Reliability has been excellent. Secret is regular service - I do my own - ...Read more
synthetic oil and filter every 10k, diff oils every 20k (synthetic), transfer case every 40k (again synthetic) and plugs every 40k plus wash k/n fiter every 40k. Probably over serviced but it certainly still drives like a new car. Stay away from jeep dealer servicing as it is expensive and sub-standard. As for warranty support - it is non existent. Cars are great - dealers are crap. Interior is basic and simple but wears very well. Keep in mind though that it really is only meant for 2 people. Plenty room and comfort for 2. Back seat for show only. All in all been very happy and would recommend to any one not wanting a sports car. Its a 4x4 and a lot of fun. Update: 166k now and still no issues. Coopers now done 81k - awesome tyres just right for wrangler.Purchased in November 2021 at Jeep Dealers for $39,000.00.

Car was falling apart
We brought a brand new jeep in 2011. The wrangler practically fell apart. We had it serviced at Adelaide city jeep where they zip tied the radiator back to the car. The roof started cracking for no reason. One of the rims cracked and we were informed that it could have given way at any time whilst driving. The hood straps were also faulty. We could only get warranty help after fighting tooth and nail and were called liars on a number of occasions and could never get onto a complaints line and were completely ignored via email. Jeep australia have the most disgusting customer service as well as adelaide city jeep. I recommend staying far away from jeeps especially the wrangler.we ended up selling it as it was too dangerous to keep.

It handles brilliantly on and off road and is stock standard .. only addition is bullbar, snorkel and roof rack. Every model car has its lemons so stop complaining about ...Read more
stupid rubbish like comfort or fuel consumption ( I get 550ks on average to a tank) not bad for a little box on wheel.. My only gripe is... I go through too many windscreens! !!! Haha. Update. . 26/5/15 My little red 2011 Wrangler has now done 100150ks and still running strong. New Old Man Emu suspension is awesome. Jeeps downfall with the Wrangler is its crap suspension. . Sags way too quick for the weight and performance of a 4x4. I would not drive anything else. . I LOVE IT An absolute gem to drive, a definite head turner Absolute rubbish, rude and disgusting after care service (Nunnawadding Jeep)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

CRD Auto overheats in summer, terribly supported by Jeep dealerships
I used to have a TJ Wrangler which was a great little 4WD that was built well. Having a family now I thought the Unlimited 4 door would be a good idea, in diesel and auto for the wife. How wrong I was. Now I had heard people complain about Jeep's build quality, but I loved Jeeps and so was not listening. First off, Jeep did not build this vehicle for a hot country. Australia and South Africa all have reports of the same problem with poor heating on the diesel auto. I drove up the Toowoomba range with 12,000kms on the clock in summer and t...Read more
he temp gauge flew up, the auto gear locked in third, and we began to lose power. I hobbled up in the slow lane to the top and it was all good... the problem disappeared. I thought it was a one off. Again that summer, I drove up to Tamborine Mountain but the problem was a lot worse. The Jeep virtually ground to hault, engine light flashing, locked in second gear up a steep incline. we waited five minutes and let it cool then hobbled to the top. Jeep Albion acted interested when I bought it in, but both times simply said, "we couldn't replicate the problem". I asked them how they tried and they tried in their air-conditioned shed. They also drove around Albion - not exactly the same conditions are they? Of course they couldn't replicate the problem. The problem disappeared in winter but every summer came back. I gave up on Albion as I did not think they were even attempting to fix it. They said they had never heard of a CRD overheating, which was BS - you can see on the web people talking about the same problem being reported to THEIR service centre. Salters basically gave the same response - can't replicate it so the problem doesn't exist. I am not sure what they wanted... perhaps a ruined transmission as proof? Now I have a leaking radiator, and I have had the same issues with squeaking brakes that other reviewers have had... not major but annoying. The main issue is that Chrysler/Jeep and the dealers play down and ignore the poor cooling design that is causing owners dramas. The transmission and air con share the same cooler, which is too small, and Jeep could not be bothered to deliver a fix. I would never buy another one of these junk cars. If they had fixed it and acknowledged the problem, sure I would be happy enough. But pretending there is no problem is appalling and I imagine Jeep will be headed back to being a small time seller of vehicles like in the 90's if they keep selling poor vehicles and not backing up their faults. I should have used common sense and bought a Japanese 4WD. My other vehicle is Landcruiser ute - virtually indestructible. Fun car, classic style, goes well offroad Overheats on inclines, in summer, terrible design of auto cooling system, atrocious support from Jeep dealers5 comments
Thanks mate ... great review. Humming and ha-ing about buying one ... comments like yours need to be heard! Have you tried Armstrongs at Twba??
Ended up a 3 month wait for parts, including an idler pulley, which went when it was all disassembled. If you want to buy one, mine's got all new cooling parts, and it's for sale ;-)

I have a wrangler jk 2.8 crd with 3 doors. model 2017-2008.
I did it a body lifting.. and I put on 33 inches of tires, the wheelbarrows and the wheelbarrows, what I want to learn is because it is flying me speeds mainly on the 1st, 3rd, it does not hold them and I have to have the hand on the levers of gears, mainly in an anomalous way. the chassis is handled
.
Ηere in Greece I put oil in the car AMSOIL SIGNATURE 5W-30. I would have to get what thick oil.
what do you suggest?
I have also heard that with body lifting the engine does not work properly, just like the axle that drives the rear wheels. is true.
i will wait for your reply. thank you

leaking about 2L a week. Jeep has been off the road since beginning of December, awaiting a water pump because apparently Jeep Australia can't get a water pump from the States in less than a month.
