Partial Loss of Roof due to a freak storm
Johns Lyng Insurance Builders were very thorough in their assessment to replace the broken tiles (157 of them), replace the broken sheets on our pergola and water damage to the inside ceiling. Attended our place within one week after the damage was reported to the Insurance Company. Could not have been more helpful to arrange the different trades to fix the damage as soon as possible. Always kept in touch with us to ensure the work by the different trades was to our satisfaction. We are very pleased that our insurance Company engaged Johns Lyng to overseer the work to fix our roof and related other damage.

Still ongoing after 7 months. Taking forever.
There was a fire at our place late in August. The insurance company made an assessment which did not cover all of the damage. They did a reassessment and added a lot of items. For some reason when the first site manager for Johns Lyng turned up he had the original assessment. He had based all his work on this but we informed him he had the wrong document. That was the last we saw of him.

resigned from the company. We are currently on our third site manager. Things started happening... very slowly. One day’s work would be done and then no one would come to the house for two or three weeks. The only way to get things done is to contact the manager but he obviously does not like this and acts as if we are inconveniencing him. When work is done we are obviously getting sub contractors who are getting their apprentices to do the work. Some of the work done has been sloppy and then a more senior tradie has had to come out to fix things up. It’s almost 7 months since the fire. Johns Lyng have had the contract for six months. They have spent maybe two or three weeks actually working at the house. Things are dragging on. Our family are wondering whether this is ever going to finish and whether we are ever going to actually get back into our house.1 comment

Very Professional
A long section of our back fence leaned over due to heavy rain and storm. The fence did not fall over completely thanks to a tree on the other side. When I contacted my home insurer, Real Insurance, they promptly sent someone to raise the fence and put temporary supports. After that Johns Lyng Builders contacted me and promptly arranged to send in a fencing contractor. tor could not complete the job that day. However, they urgently arranged to put a temporary fence to secure the property to make sure our dog would not wonder away. They came back and completed the job the following day. Johns Lyng Group was very professional in the way they handled the case and provided me regular updates on the progress. Converting from drama to a delightful outcome
An early morning disaster of a blown washing machine hose. Full flood. Prompt support and clean up, repair and replacement returned our home to a liveable environment. Thanks to Johns Lyng and RestorX.

Good work
We had a roof replaced after being damaged by hail. When the time came to remove the old roofing there was a lot of rain and stormy weather but the boys done an excellent job in only removing enough roofing at a time so that they could replace it without water damage.

Fantastic Service and Workmanship.
The Builders from Johns Lyng did a fantastic job.
Under difficult conditions with the heat and busfires in the areas, they just keeped going.

bathroom looks amazing really good job and the guys were great to deal with, they were polite and respectful at all times. Communication was good all office staff also very helpful. most appreciated for all the work done

Very happy experience.
Johns-Lyng were the agency responsible having our air conditioner replaced following an electrical storm that damaged it beyond repair. At all times the communication was timely, polite & accurate. The contractor who installed the air conditioner was equally polite, efficient & very communicative, we are very happy with every step of the process.

Replacement of 2 air conditioners
Lightning strike on Friday13/12/19. Rang Insurance company on Monday and job allocated to your company. The company sent someone out on the following Wednesday and the fan lights and a small airconditioner was fixed. The two large airconditioners on the property were not working and we were advised a report had to be sent to the insurers. Nothing happened and I rang the Insurers CGU and they advised they were waiting for the report. A week later still nothing and I again rang the Insurers and they advised no report. Russell from Johns Lyng organized 3 tradesmen a plumber to remove wood heater flue plasterer to replace damaged ceiling And a painter to repaint entire ceiling.Each tradesmen turned up on their allocated day on time and did an excellent job. Cleaned up afterwards as well. Very happy customer

Insurance re-build
Can’t fault them! The rebuild following a fire was completed with meticulous attention to detail, and under dreadful conditions - it was over 40C every day of the demolition and construction and they just kept at it. Really happy with the end result, thank you. Everything well communicated too.

Don't use this company. Time wasters.
Terrible communication issues.Agreeing to a claim .then stab you in the back to help there own kind.
Just talk and no action...say one thing and doing another.liers.and false workmanship.dont waste your time.

Why does it take 5 or so weeks for a variation to be approved, when the local rep in Townsville had sent it to management so long ago..This is now the second time this has happened in our rebuild, and is keeping us out of our house unnessaryily,and costing the insurance company 3 months rent..No wonder our premiums will go up
