Great little beginners BBQ

published

Bought this little gem at bunnings for $199 and works a treat so far. Fairly easy to assemble and very sturdy once set up. Only fault would be that after cleaning it once the jumbuck logo and white symbols near around the knobs wipe off easily. But all and all pretty decent BBQ so far. Will be using this for my next get together!

Used 3 times and third time the painted sides and base burst into flames

published

We used the BBQ twice very successfully (cleaned it down afterwards); however, the third time whilst cooking 2 large fish; the fat caught fire as often happens; but suddenly the painted frame caught fire with black acrid smoke bellowing all over. We had to throw water to quench the flames. Letter in the post to advise

Not bad

published

We bought this bbq as a replacement to a top chef bbq and it does the job but that's about it. I had to drill out the burners to get more flame as it is so slow other wise that it literally takes for ever to cook a steak but with one size bigger holes in the burners it works a lot better .Not bad but not good either

Great BBQ even better price

published

This BBQ works great comes at a great price. It isn't the easiest BBQ to clean but a bit of elbow grease gets the job done. All in all I'm very very happy with it it's a cheap BBQ but it feels solid not like it's going to fall apart.

Great little bbq

published

Very easy to put together and use. Great range of products for this bbq. Good covers range as well. Also can get a pizza oven to use on top of bbq, that cook the pizza so we’ll. So all great and easy to store away. Just keep it under cover with a cover over them

Birthday BBQ

published

Takes a bit of heat to cook the food and it doesn't heat all the way to the edges. It says it's a cast iron plate but the coating is peeling, so a bit of crap there. Drips alot of the oil over the gas bottle. It is an el cheapo, but don't false advertise re. cast iron plates.

Great BBQ!

published

We got it for Christmas last year and it has really had a work out! It is small enough to fit perfectly on our patio but big enough to cook up a big feed for the fam and guests! We love our jumbuck BBQ! Best present we've gotten in a long long time!

Perfect BBQ for the family.

published

Very satisfied with performance. Easy to use. Will assemble easily if you read the instructions carefully. Enough bolts and nuts to keep the BBQ steady. Strong construction. My wife enjoyed cooking her chest nuts on it. BBQ meat and garlic bread came out great. Tasted great, cooked evenly. My wife and mum love the way it looks. My wife also enjoyed assembling some parts of it. Love it. We are all happy with it.

JUMBUCK 4 burner "ARDENT" from Bunnings is Awful! Doesn't cook, poor quality

published

I previously owned an older Jumbuck 4 burner so purchased this unit from Bunnings as a replacement. It is nothing like my old Jumbuck!! It takes 3 times as long to cook, parts wobble. I'd return it if it didn't take 4 hours to put together - Avoid! BUT - Customer Support tried to address issue.

Powdercoat isn't heat resistant

published

I've owned this bbq for about a month and it's performed great over the Christmas season up until now. For general barbecuing duties it's fine, but today I decided to do a roast in it with the hood down and burners on low. When I came out an 30 mins later to check on it, the powdercoat on the hood was bubbling and blistering with the heat. Being a barbecue, I would have thought the exterior would be a heat resistant powdercoat (capable of temperatures of over 400C) but obviously not. The temp gauge was sitting at around 260C. I would warn anyone looking to buy this bbq, not to. Very disappointed
