The frother is great. I love the easy clean up.
Coffee is perfect temperature and easy for me to select through the options. Option of using pre-ground or whole coffee beans. Perfect latte or short black. Wife likes making cappuccinos.
Purchased in June 2012 at Harvey Norman for $1,500.

This Jura ena 5 is amazing. I have owned this machine for about 11 years and have not had a drama with it. We make about 7-10 coffees a day.
Purchased in August 2009 at Harvey Norman for $1,100.
Very reliable little machine. I would buy another one with no hesitation if my ENA 3 ever dies.
Ive been using my little ENA 3 for about 8 years now. I used air miles points to redeem it. So technically I got it for free. But this little baby has been a work horse. One time it spat out grounds into my coffee so all i did was change two O rings and it was fixed. I think it makes a little less crema than before but no big deal.
Purchased in March 2011.

So I've had a total of 6 different automatic coffee machines over the last umpteen years. This includes the usual Saeco, Gaggia etc. All 5 of them in the past has failed out of warranty.
Our household currently has about 12 serves of coffee daily, every day of the year.
I bought the Jura Ena 5 back in 2008 from Rick Hart. Fearing for more failure, I bought extended warranty for 3 years. Thinking if I get 3 full years out of the machine, I'm OK with that. It is now end of 2022 so the machine is 11 years old! And still working!
Purchased in January 2008.

After 8 years of operating perfectly the machine only then started misbehaving. The trouble was that there appeared to be a blockage as the coffee was only coming out in a very slow trickle.
I found that after removing the cover from the spout the reservoir was clogged with 8 years of debris. I removed the reservoir and gave it several rinses with warm water to clean out all the muck and used a toothpick to clear any residue in the outlets. After putting it back together it worked like new.
The front of the spout cover is attached by two ins...
Read moreide clips, one on either side. To remove the cover press the dimpled area on both sides of the spout and pull out. I found it to be a little stubborn but eventually it came free. Then disconnect the tube which feeds into the reservoir which then allows the reservoir to be removed for cleaning. This procedure should be in the manual. Apart from this the machine is good and easy to clean.Purchased in June 2010 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $850.

The vittoria mountain range or aura is bought.
Beautiful design, nice red colour.
Happily used for 9 years.
Service is expensive and complicated as you have to pack and post machine to Melbourne and it costs minimum of 260 dollars to get it repaired and several weeks. It is still working .

Takes all the hard work out of a great coffee. Perfect for two or one coffee drinkers as the reservoir is smaller than the bigger models. I've owned other machines with have cost the earth to maintain or service. So far I have de-scaled when machine requests and no issues.

In 2005 I bought the impress F50 and by 2010 shipped it to Canada from Taiwan. Late 2010 moved back to taiwan and bought the Ena3 2012 shipped my impessaF50 back. Every time one of the machines are cleaned I switch over. There is not enough words to say how impressed we are using both machines.
They have never broken down water temp is still perfect taste the same I wished I had a coffee shop to brag about it.
My impress F 50 has over 10600 cups and is the king.
I do wish I knew how many cupsvare on the Ena3 can you help me????
Everything is easy on the machine but I think the frother could be a bit more stronger for that perfect froth
Over all we are more than impressed
Yours truly,
Kent

Too bad it was discontinued, because it is a very good basic machine. No thrill, simple to operate, I have been using one since 2009. I had to change the grinder once, but that's the only thing I had to do. We have a jura service center in Singapore, and everything was quick, with original part. We are in 2016, and still using the same machine, 10 times a day. If you maintain, no problem at all.
6th january 2017 :
We changed in December a new grinder. It seems that the life cycle of grinders are around 3000 cups of coffee. it sets us back 300 SGD, but that's inclusive of a full service .
The machine is good to go for another 3000 cups.
Dear Xavier,

Had our ENA5 for five years and it makes perfect coffee. Never had any trouble with it. And we are very fussy coffee drinkers. Often I will not have coffee when I am out and hold off till I get home where I can make my perfect cup.
Unfortunately I have had a problem with cockroaches and I have one or more in the machine. I don't want to use it and am going to contact Jura to see what I can do about it. So whatever brand of coffee machine you have be aware of this problem. We have a very clean home and have our house sprayed every year but somehow these disgusting things managed to get in.
Owned for 2 years in addition to cost of coffee maker we spent 200. On tablets and filters, then one morning it just didn't power on. Given the option to return to be repaired for 225.00, their return label was taken off our box and placed on another box? In transit by UPS or Jura just said that because they didn't want to repair. Jura did nothing...now we either have to get an attorney or try to get over it. I am furious. Would not recommend this company.
Can't find anything good to say about this machine accept thank god we don't have it in our kitchen anymore. When you spend this kind of money you want the item to work. It didn't. Failed three times I the space of six months. Had to go back to the manufacturer. In the end we managed to get a refund. Useless

Hello. We have Jura Ena Micro 9. The machine reported Error 8 and could not be turned on. I cleaned the entire brewing unit, replaced the seals and used silicone. The machine turned on, the water was flowing, but it still says "close the cover". I also tried to attach a magnet, as I read here on the web. He's still reporting it. Please advise me? Thanks, Martina
