Terrible

published

I bought this wok 5 months ago and really loved it. However tonight I boiled some dumplings in it and when it had cooled the bottom was discoloured and it looked like the Teflon had come off the bottom of the pan. very strange.
Anyway taking it back to the Good GUYS tomorrow for a refund. Very disappointing.

Purchased in August 2021 at The Good Guys for $79.00.

Good for the money

published

Quite a good sized wok which heats up fast, perfect for everything from stir-frying to scrambled eggs, nothing sticks and it's easy to clean inside.

My only small complaint would be the handles which sit up above the sides of the wok and they're spaced a couple of millimeters off the side of the wok, I can see in the future splatters and dribbles will build up in the gap between the wok and the handles and it will be near impossible to clean in there.

Absolutely love this

published

I am absolutely thrilled with this wok. It is capable of cooking at a really high temperature which is perfect for a stir fry or searing meat. It is a lot lighter in weight than other electric woks that I have owned which is fantastic. This performs way better than other electric woks I have previously owned, therefore I am going to purchase another one.

This is a great electric wok!

Great fast heating, maintains all temperatures well, easy to use and a breeze to clean. It is a shallow wok (but 5 litre so holds a lot of food). Unlike those that steep-sided woks where all the food at the bottom cooks over-done and the food at the top is under-done.

Temperature not hot enough & fluctuates

published

Purchased on special at The Warehouse today & will be returning to the store tomorrow. Set it to pre-heat to the highest setting of 10 and let it run a few cycles first before adding sliced chicken. It should have been hot enough to sear the meat or at least start searing it, no hissing until the thermostat switched off and temp powered up again for about a minute then cut out again (thermostat light went off). End result was it took considerably longer to cook than in a pan on the stove.
Was half price special today...now I know why

Easy to cook with.

"Excellent wok. easy to clean & heats quickly. No more undercooked soggy veg or burnt offerings. The tempature controlls are easy to use I have had other woks (non-electrical) but none of them compare to this one better than even the more expensive WOKs I've owned. Definately a deal buster. I would definitely recommend it.
Easy to clean very easy use.

Excellent

published

This electric wok is fantastic! It does everything you want it to do and when you are finished it cleans so easily with a simple swish around with hot soapy water and whollahhh..All clean and ready for next time! Alternatively, you can put this whole wok into your dishwasher as the heating element is fully sealed and it has a removable base. It features a Low heat setting which is great just for keeping food warm and Medium heat is great for casserole style cooking and steaming foods...it is not just for asian stir-fries as you may think.
Heats up quickly..Easy to clean..Not too expensive!
Nothing...Oh..maybe it takes up a bit of room in your cupboard!
