Love my Kenwood mixer!
I bought the Kenwood Chef Classic KM330 seven years ago. It has never failed me with any of my cake recipes. Each one has been a success. It mixes the batter to a perfect consistency and turns my egg whites to the desired stiffness in very little time. I have found that making cakes is a lot easier than when I was using a hand mixer. There are different mixing tools, some to make heavier doughs, which are convenient depending on what you want to use them for. It is such a reliable machine which I highly recommend. MoU

Mediocre performance
It's good for the first mixing of sour dough bread ingredients and takes a 1kg loaf. However whipping egg whites or creaming butter is very slow and requires a lot of manual scraping for the latter. I'd rather use my hand mixer but that defeats the purpose of having a bench mixer. I also purchased the food processor attachment and compared to my old Breville Whizz it's hopeless... need to stop and scrape around base of bowl when making dips. Even mixing pastry you have to stop and scrape. I don't think its speed is sufficient for effective processing

Keeps going, going, going
Back in England before migrating in 1983, we had a Chef, can't remember the model, but was probably a KM300. Many years after purchase, I left it mixing on the bench top and without knowing how, it shook off and dropped onto the concrete floor, cracking the case. However, it eventually died a few years later, delayed shock..!
In 1983 we just couldn't manage without and we purchased the present KM330, there didn't seem too great a difference, except for attachments, which we purchased, pasta maker and cutter and of course a stainless steel liqu...Read more

my kenwood bought in 1972 is still going strong
What an amazing machine. Its over 40 years old and it still works perfectly on the original motor. I would love a new one but till this dies im happy with it as its never faulted. I still have the white smoked glass bowl and its as good as new.

The Jury Is Still Out
I had a Kenwood mixer for some 25 years but gave it to a friend's daughter. I did miss it so when I saw a reasonable priced one decided to purchase. The new ones are in start contrast to the old. Plastic parts, questionable stability and just overall cheapnest. My first exprience with the dough hook was interesting.....had to hold the machine. Think I was part of the machine's working order. If you have the money upgrade but I think these machines are overpriced anyway. Disappointing buy. Dont forget that if you put any of the parts in t...Read more

Great, effective, but not as good as the older versions
Being a bit of a foodie, I love cooking cakes and experimenting with different ingredients. This did serve as a great outlet, it was fun making sausages, ice-cream and even pasta with all the attachments. Having owned an older model first I noticed one big thing that had changed - that the motor was no longer as durable as it once was. After 2 weeks I had to take it back to the vendor because a plastic part inside had snapped from the pressure, and this also broke the whisk attachment I was using. The machine was covered by the warranty but th...Read more
e whisk could not be replaced because I had purchased it separately. Ever since this happened though it has been working fine, I haven't had any issues with it. The technician that fixed it did say to me that they are using cheaper parts in them now and they are not lasting 20 years like they used to. He also recommended to have them serviced once a year to ensure no wearing. Simple to use and makes perfect Pavlovas Cheaper parts usedSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I brought a kenwood classc twenty years ago and wish to update my machine but want to know if all the accessories I have will fit the new model .

Hi Max,
You are best to confirm with Kenwood but I am pretty certain that they will still fit it. I had one back in the late 70's and the Classic model that I have now is very similar.
