Back in England before migrating in 1983, we had a Chef, can't remember the model, but was probably a KM300. Many years after purchase, I left it mixing on the bench top and without knowing how, it shook off and dropped onto the concrete floor, cracking the case. However, it eventually died a few years later, delayed shock..!

I had a Kenwood mixer for some 25 years but gave it to a friend's daughter. I did miss it so when I saw a reasonable priced one decided to purchase. The new ones are in start contrast to the old. Plastic parts, questionable stability and just overall cheapnest. My first exprience with the dough hook was interesting.....had to hold the machine. Think I was part of the machine's working order. Being a bit of a foodie, I love cooking cakes and experimenting with different ingredients.
