Good workhorse, deisel and low maintenance costs, good fuel exonomy
Bought this car Mrs in 2010. Very Spacious, reliable, economical, 5 star safety rating, 7 seater. We have upgraded to the new version but I admit that Korean cars are as good as Japanese cars without the heavy price tag. This car has done many kilometres in all sorts of weather,. Road conditions and has never had an issue. Oil change and Oil filter every $15,000 with ever an engine light coming on. What can I say. Kia is great value for money.

I just love my Kia Sorento
I fell in love with my MY2014 Kia Sorento on the test drive. I've had it for two years now and I still love driving it every time I take it out. Nothing has gone wrong with it The V6 petrol motor is quite punchy, and I average about 10.3L/100Km in non-peak-hour outer suburban driving. It would easily get 8L/100Km on a trip. I really like the front and rear parking sensors, and the rear view camera, since they make maneuvering in close quarters an absolute piece of cake. Other things, like the cruise control, while they also work well, I don’t a...Read more
ctually use. I like the electric mirror adjustment too, though again for me it is “set once and forget”, since I’m the only driver. The sound system has lots of options too, but I mostly listen to the AM radio, which is a good performer. The 6 speed auto is a smooth performer. Often I have no idea what gear it is in because it shifts so smoothly. Lovely car. :)

Kia! Who would've thought!
Purchased an ex demo 2014 Kia Sorento about 3 months ago, almost clocked 10,000kms.. Fuel consumption is amazing for an suv averages about 6.8 litres on long runs and 7.4 on shorter trips (that's the diesel) Very spacious we purchased with the future in mind perfect for kid seats, boot space is huge and can fold down 2nd row to add more room, safe car, not to cluttered on dash easy to use Bluetooth and radio controls, has dual climate air con (big decider for my partner and I haha) reverse camera is great for those tight spots or a lil help wit...Read more
h reverse parking.. We test drove Nissan x trail and Nissan qashqai, Holden Captiva, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai i30 we didn't think Kia were any good until we test drive the Sorento! Purchased the basic model still has all the necessary features minus all the jazzy stuff like leather seats and sun roof! Great price and warranty with Kia is pretty good! I would recommend doing research on different car yards that stock the Sorrento as we got told a few lies but all in all an awesome car that's very economical and spacious and feels very safe to driveSimilar opinion? 2012 Sorento 2.2, Diesel, Manual
We bought our Sorento 2.2 diesel manual new in 2012, now have 62,000km on the clock. We tow a Jayco poptop weighing approx 1950kg quite a bit, fuel economy is fantastic, towing & not. We can fuel up in Logan City & drive to Sydney, over 1000km, now thats good!!

Excellent SUV
We have had the Sorento for just over 2 years and it has done 75,000kms. It runs like a dream and is so fuel efficient for it's size. We have the base model with the 2.2 diesel combined with a 6 speed maual. Very smooth to drive with plenty of power
We love evrything about the car

Engine capacity was different to what was stated.
We purchased our first new car. Went and seen the 3.5L 2011 Kia Sorento. We loved it and went home happy after signing the contact and picked up the car the next day. When we received the rego papers we noticed it said the car was a 2011 2.4L petrol. We went up to the salesmen and said what's this? He said that we signed for the base model 2.4L 4 cyl. We looked through all our paperwork and found yes we bought the base model but we shown a 3.5l which was also a base model at the same price. We went to ACCC and they researched for us weather we ...Read more
have a case or not. On the paperwork we were given it says we bought a 2010 Kia Sorento Si model. The paperwork did not specify an engine size. We were told that due to no engine size being stated in the paperwork there was nothing that could be done. Kia are horrible and the car has no power. Kia are the worst car company in Australia. Roomy when back seats are down. Bad service, terrible fuel economy, no power4 comments

Very tight 1st Gear
Everything about the new Kia Sorento 2012 seemed fantastic, the economy is amazing for a 7 seater (or even a 5 seater ), spacious, well equipped, great price. But right from the start, it is almost impossible to select first gear - even if stopped for at least 5 seconds, with the clutch fully engaged, I had to take it into second gear before first gear in order to "line up" 1st gear. Salesman said it should loosen up by first service, when I took it back for 1500km service, the service manager told me to wait until 7500km service, "it should l...Read more
oosen up". I'm not sure I agree but he is confident of this and I am powerless to disagree. I hope that either he is right (he says many Kia Sorentos have this issue) or they do replace the gears if I am right. Not a good experience in a new car. Economy, spacious, smooth drive, inexpensive Hard - next to impossible - to select first gear5 comments

You did not have your eyes wide open when you purchased and as always blame everyone but yourself, very typical and at the end of the day you even blame Kia themselves, wake up to yourself!!!!
