Just Perfect :)
After researching for what seems like ages, I finally found exactly what I was looking for .. Kiddy Cots 8 sided pen. The size is perfect for my twins and I love the height.
I didn't want a multicolored plastic one - just a nice simple wood one that wouldn't over power my front living room because my twins aren't the only ones that have to look at it!!
I look forward to summer when I can have it outside on our deck as it's east to re-size.
Thanks Kiddy Cots for a great Australian made product.

Thanks to all the other mums for their reviews!
I wasn't sure which playpen to buy, and after reading all the reviews I decided to go ahead with this one, the kiddy cots 3 in 1 (link 70 it is called on the kiddycots.com.au website). I put it up today, didn't take very long to assemble. It's light yet sturdy which is great. Originally I thought my 10 month old would be able to knock it over being light, but once you connect all the panels together he can't knock it over. He actually loves it as he uses the bars to stand up. I wouldn't say the space is very large, it's mediocre in size, my fri...Read more
end has a veebee playpen And that's huge! But my sister bought another kiddy cot so we can make it into one massive playpen!! I have a big mat in the lounge room so it's going to cover that entire space. Works out perfect. Just happy that bubs likes being in there. It's not like a prison at all lol. And his little head just pops out over the top so it's a good height for him. Thanks kiddy cots for making a good product! I highly recommend it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Great Australian made product
I researched playpens, joined choice and eventually bought the Kiddy cots giant 8 panel push button playpen. It is a great product. The product is Australian made without a coating on the wood- safe for teething bites. It is quick and extremely easy to assemble and converts to many sizes and shapes. The height is perfect for stepping in to and keeping my Bub contained. It is a bit too light and lifts easily off the floor but this hasn't been a problem for me (this is a common criticism of most playpens I have looked at). It is strong and well made, I highly recommend it.

Excellent Australian made product
I recently purchased the Kiddy Cots "Giant 8 Panel Push Button Playpen" direct from their website (item was on sale for $120.00 plus shipping). I am extremely pleased with this product. Assembly is super easy & you can make 4 different sized pens from the parts included. The panels are constructed from Australian plantation timber & left natural rather than painted or lacquered. You could also use the parts to construct a fence, but you would need to put some thought into how best to keep it steady & secure. I think it was well worth what I invested in it. I will try to remember to update my review down the track when this playpen has seen some proper use & punishment.

Love it!
We bought this playpen after searching for a quality product that was large enough to put two kids in together. So far it has worked great! It is easy to put together and take apart, and whilst it does take up a fair bit of room it is great because the kids have plenty of space to play.
Inexpensive, Australian Made, Easy to use

Totally love this product! I purchased the deluxe 3 in 1 Kiddy Cot (becomes a hexagon, rectangle or square). The small square fits easily in the lounge room whilst the large rectangle & hexagon fit out on my patio. Very easy to put together and take apart. I have 2 x cats and a dog so it is good at keeping them out and bubs in! Loads and loads of room inside the rectangle and hexagon - can easily fit 4-5 bubs or 2 bubs & 2 adults with toys.
Although the product is quite lightweight (a good thing!), I have not had a problem with it moving whe...Read more
n bubs stands up and leans on it (he is 9 months old). Hint: make sure you check each wooden fence section when you purchase as we swapped one over at Bubs as it was split. We had no problem in exchanging the piece, however, it would be more difficult to do this if you purchased online. In saying that, please note that I really rate this product and we may have just been unlucky on this occasion with the split piece. Everything! The hexagon/ large rectangle does not come with a custom floor mat (the small square does if purchased together). We got around this buy purchasing 60x60cm EVA floor tiles from Clarks Rubber. Cost a bit more (extra $160) for tiles although I have since seen the tiles cheaper at Bunnings!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Value for money, good quality Australian product.
We decided on this playpen after doing lots of research. I'm happy to say it meets expectations. Good quality product - and Australian made, solid, lightweight, splinter-free, easy to assemble and take apart. It's also free of any varnishes or oils which we prefer given our bubs is likely to chew on the bars! The joiners are solid, unlike other similar products where I'm led to believe the joiners can split or break quite easily. The push buttons are easy to use. We had a minor issue with one push button, but this was quickly rectified after an...Read more
email to the manufacturer, they replied promptly and advised us how to fix it without voiding warranty. Recommend this product!! Not too bulky, good quality, very versatile for use in different areas including outside, easy to use. Nothing so far.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Compare with other playpens, this Australian made playpen is value for money. We have it for 5 months. And it still good as new. If you put some toys in, my 1 yr old is happy to stay inside. If he wants to go somewhere, he just push it along, and the playpen will move with him. I suppose it also support/guide him walking too. Quite often my 4 yrs old climbed in and out the playpen. It still very steady. This is a good playpen. My husband and I are very happy with it. It gave us a lot of laugh when we saw our little toddler pushing the playpen around. We take it as a bonus from this product.
Good quality. Easy to assemble. Steady and Solid.
The child can move it around when he gets old enough.

I bought this second hand and am very happy with the product. I don't think I would have been happy to buy it brand new as it really doesn't look like much for over $100 new. My son seems happy to play in it so far. It was extremely easy to put together and pull apart. My son sometimes pushes it around with his feet while he is lying down so I am going to try and get some kind of rubber pads or whatever to stick on the bottom edges to help prevent this. Also try not to put small balls or toys that will fit between the bars in the playpen becaus...Read more
e my son gets very frustrated and upset when they fall out and he can't reach them. Otherwise fantastic product. Very easy to put together, was surprised at how much space baby has to play in, light and easy to store, Australian owned and made. It goes out of shape easily (becomes a diamond rather than stays square) which I worry will put extra stress on the plastic corner braces. It can also slide around or be pushed around. I haven't really seen many significant advantages of this playpen over other brands.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This is the best we saw in quality and price in the market.
It is Australian made. Baby has plenty of room. Doesn't give the feeling that he is closed in.
Roomy. Solid. Easy to clean Easy to store.. Can configure into two different smaller sizes.
Can't think of any so far.

Best investment. I had 2 children quite close together so with the second child, my first was just over 1 year and need to keep her within eyesight. Gave her a sense of 'freedom' right next to me in the kitchen / meals / family room. Filled the playpen with a range of toys and just changed them over every few days.
Fantastic size. I purchased the rubber puzzle mats and placed the playpen on the top of them. I wasn't keen on the smaller playpens as I thought they would not be roomy enough for my children. Also when friends came over we wou...Read more

We used this as a playpen for a short time, then once my boy became more mobile I used sections of it to fence off the TV, DVD and the heater in winter. It has served us well and is still in excellent and sturdy condition for the next bub. Very well made product.
Easy to put together and doesn't take up a lot of space when it is not put together. It is nice and large and east to attach toys to the sides.
I bought this second hand for about $20 and it was well worth it. I would not have paid the retail price for it but if you can find a good second hand one go for it.

We purchased this with no regrets - it was easy to put together and we were surprised at how big it actually is after seeing some of the smaller ones. It is very easy to take apart and clean too which is a bonus, and takes up little room to store. It also holds its value so if you intend to sell it down the track you can get most of your money back for it. The colour of the playpen will compliment your furniture no matter what colour scheme you have!
Great look, easy to put together and take apart and clean, size is great, takes little room to store.

I had to buy a playpen as I had an operation and wasn't able to pick my son up for 6 weeks which meant I couldn't put him in his cot, instead I was able to get him where I wanted him and pull the playpen down over him. I have found it quite handy to have, though it does slide a bit. It only cost me around $70 at the time which is worth the money in my case.
Nice wooden design made in australia, really big area, alot bigger than i thought. Tall enough that little ones cant escape
Can slide around a bit

This play pen has served its purpose well for us, we kind of use it as toy storage as well as a play pen. My son doesn't not mind being placed in it while I do something else providing there are some toys in there with him, I would purchase this again if required.
Easy to assemble, lightweight, good height for bubs, plently of space, I like the edge and bar design to clip and tie toys onto and bubs seems to like being in the play pen with a bunch of toys. Relatively inexpensive.
The lighweight design makes this playpen very easy to move - if you bump or knock it the playpen will definitely shift which not a major drawback but is annoying and does mean bubs will soon be able to move it himself.

This is a great playpen. It is a fantastic size, not too big or too small. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. It doesn't take up too much storage space. You can also paint this playpen or stain it if you don't like the colour. It is also good to use around the Christmas tree to stop bubs from pulling decorations off. The only problem with it is that I found my baby just pushed it around wherever he wanted to go.
Easy to use.
If you have floorboards or tiles your baby wanders around the house pushing the safety pen and therefore still reaches everything.

Do I need a drill to assemble, and what is the distance between the bars (I'm using it for a small puppy). Many thanks for your advice.

Hi,
Just a star screwdriver. The distance between bars is 6.5cm.
