Terrible experience
Terrible experience. I had my kitchen done here about a year ago, the cornice was left unfixed, the bench has started to lift on the join. I contacted mick 7 months ago to fix it but I am still waiting despite numerous emails, texts and calls. He has now changed his mobile number and the other numbers go straight to voicemail. Never use this company or MK Kitchens which is another company linked to Mick.

Unconscionable Conduct
There seems to be no ability for customers to hold Kitchen Design Victoria which also trades as MK Kitchens accountable for their admission of errors. I strongly suggest you read each review with discretion before you use this over promising, very busy, under performing company. Their conduct in the last 4 months is unconscionable. It’s is now over 6 months and we are still waiting for a kitchen door replacement due to 2 attempts to rectify its incorrectly manufactured size, twice they have manufactured the wrong size with 3 failed call outs to...Read more
resolve. Our tenant still does not have a kitchen door under the sink. Outstanding incompetence with the director Mick very polite, able to initially oblige suggestion on when and how the door would be rectified, but now 30 days and no reply or response, email or mobile. We designed with Isabelle, Dec 2018, install March 2022 - its now July and its still not finished. For an absolutely tiny kitchen with only one door correction - 4 months of ongoing emails, calls, dialogue, requests. There is no ability for them to suggest this kitchen review is false, the order number is MK0925 Elwood. I am pursuing VCAT and intend to ensure their reputation is appropriately well understood by prospective customers.

Terrible service and delivery
We were devastated by KDV. After a promising salespitch, the work performed was 3 months late, each tradie blamed the others about errors and our complaints fell on deaf ears.

Terrible service & broken contracts
Where to start...
The original measure for our wood & stone kitchen was wrong. Even when a third and fourth check measure were completed, they were still wrong. Wrong size doors were installed, house blinds were broken, fridges were damaged.
When the start date passed with no start, there was no apology.
There was a six week break in the middle of the install for no particular reason. A 1 month build time took 6 months of NO KITCHEN. Tradesmen didn’t turn up on time ( or at all) as they had either resigned or been let go. I was told by one of...Read more

The worst customer service and terrible product
It has taken 2 years to be able to write this review, to write factually what was the worst experience in my life. Our kitchen was ordered in July 2016 for November delivery and install. When it arrived half the doors were missing and the other half were the wrong ones meant for someone else. 3 months later we had doors delivered at the end of February. Within a week the paint chipped off every door. After many emails, phone calls too which no one replied or worse still said they would come and look at the doors but then didn't show wh...Read more
ich us frustrating when you have taken the day off. Finally after much badgering the doors were taken to be repainted they came back in May but then after they were refitted the drawers no longer soft closed. Of course the phone calls with no replies the emails with no replies started again to fix the closing of the drawers this took 2 months. It was just a case of their installer refitting the drawers not doing it properly and taking 2 months to send another trades person. Our kitchen took 10 months to be completed. Now we have another issue with the kitchen for which we contacted the company in August 2018. They have not followed up, we have called twice sent emails and photos. Wish us luck.Similar opinion? Terrible Project Management, kitchen already falling apart. very rude staff
Had a terrible experience with this company, had the kitchen installed in early 2017.
After the sales process was signed off at that point everything went down hill.
Appointments always missed by trades people. Issues brought up with the owner who essentially told us not to write him our concerns because 'hes not going to read it don't bother emailing him' (those were his words)
Things were broken in the home by trades people - this was brought up to get fixed no one took ownership.
When something did not fit correctly it was always someo...Read more

Bad measurements, bad project management, bad kitchen
So the measurements were done wrong initially. No big deal as there was a secondary measure anyway. After that nobody took us through the resulting plans. They email them to you and that's it. So unless you're in the building industry you're not going to pick up little problems. It all looked fine but when they start building, little inconsistencies show up.
There is nobody project managing the kitchen so you have to do it all yourself. All the tradies are separated from each other and each one seems to blame another or KDV. There isn't just ...Read more

Nice kitchen, but....
We decided late last year that we needed a new kitchen. After talking to a lot (more than 10) of Kitchen companies, we finally decided to use Kitchen Design Victoria, as they seemed to be mid range in price, and the kitchens on their website looked nice. We should have known something was wrong with this company when the guy, who came around to our house to do a computer mock up of what our kitchen would look like, told us, after 3 1/2 hours that KDV CAN'T help us. We couldn't believe it. Eventually, at about 11.00pm we convinced him to change ...Read more
his mind. The next few months were full of making the required payments and hoping (fingers crossed) we would get what we paid for. Communication with the "office" was often not answered, and when the phone was answered the boss was never in and many many messages were left without being answered. Its a long long story, but there were many times when we couldn't talk to anyone, and when the time of installation came they recommended the tradies you should use to complete the installation of the kitchen (their charge is ON TOP OF what KDV charge - plumber/electrician/tiler). The sparkies that were recommended were hopeless (SDK Electrical - they run our electrical connection to the fuse box through an EXPOSED conduit that was later put behind the wall by another sparky), and the Boss eventually come around post installation and accused us of breaking the spice rack - why would we do that. I got the impression that because we hadn't spent $30k+ with them, we weren't at the top of their priority list. This whole process is over a 6 month period!!! Are all kitchen designers/installers like this???? Good kitchen in the end, but bad communication.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not angry, just disappointed!
Very disappointed that Kitchen Design Victoria would not provide me with a consultation to design and quote a new kitchen.
To keep costs down they will only provide a consultation to customers that will agree to make a decision to go ahead with the quote on the day.
A new kitchen is a big investment and you should be given time to review the quote and compare with other quotes.

Kitchen Dramas
We engaged Kitchen Designs Victoria to replace our dated kitchen. The process was stressful and drawn out and has left me with a strong case of buyer regret. There is no doubt that the outcome is a great kitchen, but the angst and arguments to get it finished has permanently tarnished the end result for us. The high pressure sales pitch was probably the first hint that should have just walked away- but we didn’t.
So a review, first the positives: Paul got us a great price on the oven that we wanted, for which we are of course grateful – and ...Read more
it was not KDVs fault that it arrived broken, and they went out of their way to ensure that it was fixed; the trades were efficient, friendly, economic and for the most part turned up when they said that they would. I would happily use both the electrician and plumber again. The stone bench-tops are absolutely beautiful. The negatives: The first finish was dreadful; cupboards were wrongly measured, the kick boards were stuck on with sticky tape, there were holes and gaps all over the place. The backboard in the alcove was 5mm short on each side – the installer suggested we fix it with a piece of quad! I feel that it was only that I had inadvertently short paid some of the upfront fee that KDV returned to rectify all the problems, including a huge gap between the stove and the wall in which I don't believe they had had no intention of putting a bench top into at all. The irony was the short payment related to the measure process!! But the real kicker and the reason I feel compelled to write a review hinges on the need for an additional wooden surface to be fitted onto the island bench – we discovered day one that the original concept of reusing some of the old kitchen was just not possible so we agreed to an additional amount for an extra bench-top - I paid for it the day that the oversight was found (day one of the kitchen install). It has then taken KDV another two weeks, after the rest of the kitchen had been finished, to advise me that they had not even ordered the wooden bench because of my original short payment, a short payment of around 3% of the total kitchen price and around a third of the exorbitant price we paid for the additional wooden bench. We are now sourcing an alternative wooden bench top, and KDV promptly refunded the cost of the bench. The result is that we are now three weeks past the supposed contract completion date and have a piece of chipboard as our feature piece. KDV did not communicate any aspect of the project well, the installer did not have plans, phone calls and texts went unanswered, trades just made assumptions that we would be home, but most critically the when and where of payments was very poorly communicated and led to unfortunate misunderstandings. To conclude, overall the kitchen is a nice addition to our home; but would I recommend KDV? – up until the debacle with the wooden bench-top probably – now - defiantly not.Similar opinion? Shady business indeed
I had a similar experience to GB65. I was told that if I signed up on the day I would receive a $3500 travel voucher or equivalent discount. I said no, I would look at the quote and then decide. I booked a consultation and the week before the date organized I had a phone call telling me that the consultation would be cancelled. The excuse was that it takes 2-3 hours for a quote and "it was obvious that I did not have that much time ". I would have thought that the initial quote would have only taken 1 hour and then the detail done later once the quote was accepted.

"Amazing Kitchen". Well Done!
Very friendly and knowledgeable designer. He worked with us well to make sure we knew exactly what we wanted. It was terrific to be able to see a rough design which looked so realistic. KDV are so flexible and we felt no pressure whatsoever to sign up. There was a special deal being offered at this time which involved signing up on the night. We couldn't do that without seeing an actual display of their kitchen and viewing their workmanship. They agreed to extend the offer for a week which allowed us the time to see their Kitchen display. u can tell, we signed up on the spot. We were very impressed. The price was within our budget and we were so excited to be getting a kitchen we had been dreaming about for a very long time. Their contractors are very polite and skillful and very happy to answer any questions you may have. The customer service was truly fabulous as this always worries me when I sign up for anything. They are a terrific company led by Mick who is very supportive and caring and they listen to your needs. Our finished kitchen is SENSATIONAL and everything we wanted. The quality is amazing. It is a dream come true. A big thank you to Mick and his team for our beautiful kitchen and I truly believe if you are thinking of your dream kitchen you must give KDV a call and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be recommending KDV to my family and friends. Thank you once again Kitchen Design Victoria.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
happy happy customer
We had a wonderful 2 hours with [Name removed] the designer, where we got to design the kitchen of our dreams. We were able to see the design in 3D and it was so realistic. The price was such a surprise as it was within our budget. We are so thrilled with the way we were treated and can recommend anyone to get a kitchen done with them. My sister had a kitchen done with this company, she was extremely happy, and we loved the finished result, so we decided to get one done also. Thanks again [Name removed], We will tell all our friends.

Great service and price
We had our kitchen installed just prior to Christmas by Kitchen Design Victoria. We couldn't be any happier with the service we received right from the start. They were friendly and nothing was a problem in getting it the way we wanted. All the trades were clean and tidy. Even with minor hiccups they still managed to finish it on time. For the price we paid we couldn't be any happier. I would recommend Kitchen Design Victoria anytime.

Very shady company - don't go near them
Appalling service. I made a consultation booking, which they advised would take 2-3 hours and would provide design, measure, 3-D Modelling and Quote. Sounded really good. On the phone they said they had a 20% discount promotion running if you decided at the time of consultation to go ahead.
The Designer arrived and the very first thing he asked (before even discussing the kitchen) was "are you happy to sign up tonight". What! They hadn't even shown me what they could offer or even intimated a price! When I said no I had to wait until I ...Read more
got the quotes in from the flooring people first so that I could make a decision on exactly what I would be doing, he said "well what if you signed with 10% deposit and a cooling off period". All the way throughout this 10-15min conversation he kept saying "I understand, I'm on your side" (whatever that meant). Anyway, again I said no, and explained that I never sign up to anything on emotion - I always walk away and consider the offer first. He then went into his spiel about how I'd miss out on the 20% discount if I didn't sign tonight. So I said that OK, just give me the base quote without the discount so that I know what you can propose and the price. At this point he said he'd have to call his boss to see if that was OK. To see if it was OK to give me a quote - really! He went outside and came back about 5 minutes later to tell me that he had "a bit of bad news, the boss said no". By now it was becoming quite clear that this was all very shady. Subtle bullying tactics to get me to sign and when that didn't work, they just needed to get out as quick as they could.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
