Kogan 55" LED TV (Full HD) Borderless Questions & Answers

I am trying t fix a TV. KALED55XXXYA
On start up it displays a blank black screen. It briefly shows the KOGAN Icon, but still black.
I have tried to find a copy of the firmware for the TV and instructions on how to do a factory reset. But unsuccessful.
Does anyone have a remedy?
The screen is black. I can see the words KOGAN very dimly for a moment when I start up the TV.

I am not a technician but I would say with the age of the TV it has probably had its day.
I would recommend staying away from kogan purely based on my experience with Kogan, the best TV's to look at in my opinion at are the LG's oled and they are reasonably priced.
Look on line at the reviews on TV's before buying. Hope this helps.
is there a link available to the firmware for this model?
I was hoping that I could save it from landfill.

Hi my tv turns on and off. It just keeps rebooting from the kogan screen and back again. Is there any firmware update for this model? Cheers!

Yes there was. We don't have the TV or remote anymore. The tv was defective hence we disposed both items.

However, we can confirm that this model of TV is compatible with the Logitech Harmony range of Smart Remotes.

What audio outputs does this model have for connecting to an audio receiver?
Only a mini headphone jack, which means that when used the TV speakers are muted.
You can use the headphone jack to connect to a sound bar or similar.
Note: this applies to the 2015 model, I’m not sure if Kogan have since upgraded their outputs.
i got A10 cm dark strip on top part of screen
Take photo and email, they will send a courier to pick it it up. Assuming you read the instruction, "keep box for freight for any warranty issues" you will have a simple easy process

What did you find with your Kogan tv. I have a similar problem with a KALED55XXXWA. It has a strip on the bottom of the screen that is different brightness to the rest of the screen.
