appalling service
I purchased a Lenovo laptop online in the middle of March and it finally arrived at the incorrect address in the last week of April.
The 6 weeks between ordering and delivery was full of frustration and excuses from Lenovo - it was apparently all the fault of their courier.
The staff at the Lenovo call centre are not truthful.
Still waiting on a call back from Lenovo but not holding my breath.
Do not buy their product online.

Appalling Customer Service, Worthless Warranty
I have purchased four Lenovo X1s (various models) with 3 year on site warranty for our family over 4 years so were obviously happy with the first three however, our daughter's Yoga purchased end of 2017 started having problems within 5 months of purchase, shortly after she moved interstate for full time university and does not have access to another computer so relies on it heavily. Dealing with tech support has been a nightmare for her. It is very time consuming and the problem is rarely repaired. The list of problems has grown substantiall...Read more
y over the past two years, including making noises, switching off randomly and the keyboard not retracting (which started after the initial repair). The screen is now coming apart on one side and she sent them photos of same. They are insisting she has dropped it and needs to pay for it to be repaired before they can fix any of the other pre-existing issues under warranty. The damage to the case is normal wear and tear after two years of daily use and carrying it to uni and back. There is a small scratch on the edge of the case and the colour on the casing has rubbed off on both corners caused by rubbing on the desk when she converts it to a tablet. They are claiming these are a crack and dents and ignoring her requests to look at the laptop as it is hard to differentiate a scratch/crack via photo (she is happy to take it to them) and sent her a repair quote even though she said she didn't want one. The warranty runs out in 6 months and I'm sure they will stuff her around until it is out of warranty. We paid $3,000 for this laptop and all her uni friends are think it's really funny that their $1,000 laptops work better than hers. It's a pity because when they work properly, they're not a bad laptop but we will never buy one again. Next stop is the ACCC.

Bad customer service
Customer service is terrible, Isabelle who works in orders hangs up on me whilst I’m talking. How rude are the people working for you!
Even after I posted the above review to their site, the same staff emailed me back saying your review doesn’t meet the guidelines so the staff have removed it. What kind of system is that where staff can protect their lack of respect for customers by just deleting reviews.
I called up to talk to the manager and the lady said the manager will call me back. Instead 20 min later the same staff member Isabelle ca...Read more
lls me back pretending like nothing happened and that her phone doesn’t work properly. I’m not stupid. Don’t play these games. The problem today is that when other staff members act inadequately towards customers other staff members protect them from discipline by never letting the manager know when a customer calls to talk to them.

Worst customer service ever
You cannot get resolution through customer service. If you get through to them on 1800 041 021, they keep you on the phone for hours (try four hours, try six), while remotely accessing your computer and doing endless stuff, but with no resolution. They'll call you back next day and keep you on there for another four to six hours if you let them, with still no resolution at the end. It's like Lenovo pay customer service people to do this time wasting.
My customer service experience is so bad I will never buy Lenovo again. I have a Lenovo Yoga 7...Read more

Bad laptops and terrible customer service - No concessions during CoronaVirus
My husband bought a Lenovo ThinkPad and we hardly ever used it, until we had to stay home during the CoronaVirus. I needed it to look for a job. During the time it was hardly used, the warranty expired. I started using it daily for about 1 month, and was taking great care of it, never dropped it etc. Within a month of use, it started to fall apart literally. The screws were coming off the bottom, the case was popping up at the sides. It would charge intermittently if i placed my finger and pushed the case down near the power outlet, and after a...Read more
week, nothing worked and it stopped charging and died. This is where the fun began! I wrote a post on the Lenovo Australia forum, explaining that the problem with the laptop, the fact that the warranty expired, that it was hardly used, taken care of and that I needed it to look for a new job in these hard times. Their response was to send me the PDF that is used by their trained technicians to open the laptop and fix the problem myself. I then located their Facebook page and explained to them the problem, mentioned that the laptop is out of warranty, explained that it was taken care of, explained that I needed it to apply for a job, explained that explained that their support workers staff had expected me to fix the laptop myself and I was not confident doing so. I repeated 3 times that the laptop is out of warranty. I got a message back asking me to PM them, which I did. Then they started asking for a series of information, each one took me hours to find. What is the email address that you used to order laptop? What is the order number? what was the address it was delivered to? and finally, what is the serial number (this took the long time to find because the laptop was dead and it took a while to find it under the battery). After all these requests for information, I get this response:Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

DONT BUY
I Purchased a ThinkPad T480, This was for work, It started crashing on me and cost me in lost wages and damaged equipment I was connecting to(this cost me as I had to replace damaged equipment). Laptop finally got sent away and All I was told was the system board was replaced and that caused the issue.
Haven't touched for months and decided to let daughter use and low and behold there's another issue.
All I got is list of things I should be doing to test even after full description, photo's ect of issue was sent to them, still waiting.
I've been ripped off $1,600 for the laptop and over $2,000 for the damage to my business.
Thanks Lenovo

The lack of service lets them down.
I purchased a Lenovo Legion Y740 gaming laptop through their website. It was an easy process and simple to customise my laptop. The delivery was prompt as well.
Within a few months though the sound, through the headset, went. In addition the tracking pad intermittently stopped working.
Liaising with their tech support was not an easy process. Ultimately my machine had to be sent back to be repaired. And this is when their customer service became really bad. They never provided me with any updates and I had to initiate almost daily contact to ...Read more

Don't recommend this product
I bought a ThinkPad Lenovo laptop. The slowest piece of junk I have ever purchased. takes a while just to loaf one tab, or a document or something of the sort. battery life is also atrocious. goes from one hundred percent to eighty in minutes. not recommended.

Absolute garbage
I've bought a ThinkPad from this company for estimately $1000 to focus on school work and light gaming. I had high expectations for the laptop I bought but turns out it was just an overpriced piece of plastic. I've been using this laptop for a total of 2 months, and at first, it has a breakdown, the bluetooth doesn't work properly, can't even run a game like CS:GO when even a Macbook can run it. Very disappointing, Lenovo.

Lenovo laptop revie
Lenovo laptop review - don't expect their laptops to last and don't expect any support when their laptops fail.
You CAN expect a quote from them to repair at double the initial cost of the latop.
Never had issues with my Acer laptops, but Lenovo are in a [bottom] league of their own.

Not always smooth sailing
Fact: Things break. Other fact: Lenovo repaired my device twice. One time onsite.
Am I disappointed that my Laptop was out of order? Yes. Am I happy because my laptop has been repaired? yes.
I would like to thank Lenovo for their excellent repair service.

Hard Disk Locks even if you never locked it
Unfortunately hard disk locks itself and ask for a password/key you never put in. If it is out of 12 month warranty Lenovo do not care. Think twice before you buy Lenovo Yoga.

Disappointing quality
Laptop hinges started cracking less than 3 years into the purchase and track pad soon started peeling. The performance has been constantly degrading over the years and was nowhere as good as the original new product. Battery life has been reduced to almost only 2 hours after the initial 12 hours. I would not recommend this laptop for the price - which is over 2 thousand.

Very disappointing
My Lenovo laptop has run very slow from the beginning. I don't have any specialised programs or apps installed as I just use it to access the internet, write the occasional document in Word and watch DVDs, that was until the DVD drive stopped reading discs. I'd advise against purchasing from this supplier.

Waste of money.
Laptop Less than 4 years old and all the ports for SD cards and usb can't maintain a connection so transferring files is a nightmare. Can't handle programs like photoshop. Hopeless battery life less than an hour seriously what the point of a laptop if you have to be constantly plugged in. Induces Computer rage!!!

If there had of been a minus star, I would have used a five minus
Other than the speakers, my Lenovo laptop was good for a couple of years, then it became slower and slower.. I have had it seen to, taking off excess data, old files etc but it did not make any difference..
One speaker although very poor worked even if you had to put your ears up to it to hear, the other speaker sometimes worked and sometimes didn't..
At the moment I am powering up my old 12 year old Toshiba because I cant afford another computer right now, and that works far better than my 4 or 5 year old Lenovo which we paid about $1,500 fo...Read more

Avoid Lenovo!
I purchased two Lenovo computers recently, ThinkPad E480 Notebook and All-in-one AIO 520 27" desktop. For the notebook, lower part of screen became gray after a few months and for the main board for all-in-one blow up after 6 months. No of them repaired by Lenovo.
Please don't buy Lenovo products directly. If you have to, buy it from famous retail supplies, so that you can return it back to them directly. Lenovo's computer quality is no longer in any standard level, and their support is horrible. Lenovo has destroyed IBM reputation.

Are Lenovo tower PCs any good?

I do not know but after the trouble I have had with my Lenovo Yoga personally I would not go near the brand with a barge pole. I have never seen any problems with Dell.
Thanks for your advice. Now that I have had a chance to peruse the Internet I see that you are not alone. Ill give Lenovo the flick! Sorry you have had trouble with them. Martyn

I purchased two Lenovo notebooks for my twins (MIIX 510 HQ Silver CVT Notebook). Both were purchased through ‘flexirent’ and had to be sent firstly back to Lenovo for diagnosis then back to the flexirent repair service to have replacement battery as the battery life was lucky to be 1.5hrs when it should be 7.5hrs. So both tablets have been returned and despite new battery installation they still will not hold charge. I will not purchase another Lenovo for this reason

Hi Suz. I too have been more than disappointed with Lenovo and will NOT deal with them again! 10 days on from purchase they still can't fix the warranty end date - which they have as ")" days left when I purchased it only 2 weeks ago.
If they are within warranty still then you are entitled to get these issues fixed. I did mention the ACCC and was surprised that, even though it is an overseas call centre, they new exactly who the ACCC are.
Good luck .....
Same thing happened to me. Purchased a yoga 530 and the battery life was less than two hours. Sent it back to them and am waiting for a refund which they said will take three weeks

Has any one got a telephone number to talk to a real person who can make decisions and help with my Lenovo order? The service is truly appalling and I am in disbelief a company in today's world can operate in this way, I have spent the the last 13 days on the phone to every department to find out why my laptop was not delivered. Today I have finally been offered a refund but the hours and hours of phone calls have exhausted me. All I wanted was the computer I ordered, even when they admitted that I had not received it you'd think they might have offered to maybe send out the same model again but maybe expedite it quicker because I have been so patient. I was told it would take 10-14 days plus the delivery of 7 days. I even requested that they could ship it direct to me but just to request this can take 3 days and the reply is not certain?
Lenovo have got too big and forgotten the customer, I was was persistent and polite on every phone call, I hope [name removed] reads this and should hang his head in shame. I have purchased 4 Lenovo's in the last 5 years but no more, very upset and disappointed. To be fair to Sales support, they were brilliant but once they have your money you are totally at their mercy. This has taken from the 7th March to today 3rd April. It seems UPS "lost" the parcel but that even took "an investigation" when one telephone call would have sorted this out much earlier. I was taught "Treat people as would expect to be treated" with honesty, efficiency, pride and good manners, I live by this today so it is shame that this ethos could not be taken on board by Lenovo.
