Screen defects
I bought a Lenovo Yoga in 2017. Six months later the screen had many horizontal lines and I think it has problems in cold weather. the defects went away after around 5 minutes and it doesn't happen in warm weather. Now the touch screen doesn't work any more. This brand maybe cheaper than others but it is crap.
Purchased in December 2021 for A$2,000.00.

It works great for me
I have the 13 inch model and it is beautiful and light for transporting. I actually get away with a 12 inch case for it. I had to buy an external USB C to usb, sd card and hdmi port because the ports in this super thin device are not plenty, but all works well with it. NOTHING gone wrong with it, so far, and I run a lot of demanding adobe software. good battery too!
Purchased in January 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for A$2,200.00.

The Hardware may or may not be any good but going from Mac to Windows 10, oh what a disappointment.
It's hard to write an objective review about the hardware when the software is such utter garbage. Well done Microsoft for making the operating system kinda look like you're using a Mac but that's where it ends as it just plain doesn't function, I'd rather be back on Win95 at least it worked!
I was disappointed that my 2011 MacBook pro with full hard drive was underperforming and had this crazy idea that Windows may have got its act together and be a viable alternative. There are also a couple of programs I'd like to use that are PC only. So...Read more
I jumped ship and gave the old Mac to my wife - which she is loving as it's still chuffing along So as objective as I can be on the hardware: 1/ It's a lovely compact laptop ( I have the 13 inch model). It's very light and thin and looks very smart 2/ Nice bright screen and the touch ability is quite good although sometimes it just stops working. 3/ Keyboard is a little cramped coming from a 15 inch Macbook 4/ Battery life is not as good as the 7yo Mac but it's much smaller and lighter so maybe I'm asking too much? 5/ It's nice to be able to use as a tablet but honestly I don't often do this

Yoga 720 15 inch is Powerhouse but not a Ultra book
I have purchased yoga 720 for Personal use, there is no lagging with Windows 10 and also 16 GB suits perfectly for Software Development or medium level gaming. Also, if you are artist, it works perfectly with Pen.
Problem with the 15 inch it is too heavy, also power adapter and USB is very near. No Support for USB C Power adapter which is very annoying.
Another than, keyboards are perfect.
Overrall, it is very good laptop but not compact one.

great performance and difficult to flaw
The Yoga 720 with i7 (7th gen) and 16 GB RAM, 1 terabyte SSD is a powerhouse computer in a very compact package. I love the 8 second boot--though this has gotten a little longer with the dumping of much software on board (will have to clean up the boot with all the extra weight!).
The 4K screen is incredible; at 13-ish inches it is virtually impossible to see standard size fonts if you don't implement the magnification; but that is very easy to do via cpanel and works seamlessly throughout all operations.
Keyboard is great, well thought...Read more
out, direct controlling of F keys as the secondary function, backlight beautiful and easily switched on/off, good feel for touch typing ~70wpm. Touchpad software for multi-finger controlling has become essential and in some cases better than mouse control. uses; office, creative suite inc premiere non-linear video editing; all good, as expected from this level of i7/ram/ssd issue: lenovo supplies a pen (great) but no adapter for extra ports, and with 1 to 2 x C's (1 for power) and 1 x USB 3, this of course is not enough.1 comment

noisy but it doesn't bug me. If it did I would open it up and put in something quieter. The only time it's glitchy is with firefox, running multiple separate windows of about a gizillion tabs each. And that's firefox and its add-ons, not the machine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Nice screen, shame about the rest.
Lenovo have made a brilliant touch screen and a good looking, decent-spec laptop, but the performance just isn't there.
I had the computer for a month and then the screen stopped working. I sent the computer back to Lenovo, however they returned it a week and a half later saying that no fault could be detected. A week after I received it back the screen stopped working again and I once again had to return the computer to Lenovo. Lenovo now stated there was a problem with the motherboard and subsequently replaced the malfunctioning component...Read more
. Since receiving the laptop back the second time the computer has been plagued by small glitches (e.g. the laptop will switch to tablet mode without prompt), computing under-performance (e.g. freezing when completing simple spreadsheet and word processing tasks), battery under-performance (battery will drain in less than 2 hours) and connectivity issues with both external screens (external screen connections will drop out regularly) and bluetooth devices (I cannot use a bluetooth mouse for this computer because the bluetooth connection regularly drops out). The fan is constantly running and audible in quiet workspaces. I'd never buy another Lenovo computer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
