Hi. I have just been looking at the manual, as this machine looks very complicated! I note that it talks about dish washing powder ! is there not provision for using tablets - or have I missed something?

I have sworn by LG dishwashers for the last 7 years since my first one however, we recently lost our dishwasher in the recent floods and bought a new one in December 2022. Problem it washes in auto takes 3 hours. . .the dishes come out wet. My old model even dried plastic and I didn't have to open the door partially. Just wondering if I have missed something in the manual as I would love to use an hour cycle and I would also like dry dishes. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there. Thats what mine did but showed HE error code which means heating element failure . LG did the right thing by me after two failures and issued a store credit to solve the issue . I would suggest contacting LG service they were very helpful
Sorry, have been away on holidays. We use the Eco 53 + Extra Dry Cycle and it runs for 2hrs 21mins. The door opens at end of cycle and everything in it is clean and dry. Our dishwasher is hooked up to the hot water, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference? For a shorter cycle, I think you have to download the app and choose that particular cycle. I haven't tried that so cannot help you there. Sorry. Di

Should I buy popular Bosch model SMS88TI01A or this one?

I have never met anyone who has been happy with Bosch whitegoods long term. I have always been happy with the LG products I've bought (2 dishwahers, 2 front loader washing machines, 1 fridge, 2 TV's and a couple of DVD players). I know 6 people who have bought a Bosch dishwasher and all wish they'd bought something else. Only thing with the LG dishwashers is that I've never gotten more than 7 years out of them.

Looking at buying the LG Quadwash Model XD5B14WH. The sales guy said there was not a flood stop valve but when we got home LG's website said they had a Aqua Stop Valve. Is this the same thing and an internal part? I would have thought such security was important. Cheers

what do you mean that you have to look from the top, the images on the LG site show the controls and displays on the front of the door panel as normal.
