Great product
Purchased Austral retractaway 50 and post as it was Australian made and the best fit for my yard. Great product, easy to order, installer was great. There was a delay in delivery, which wasnt a problem, but would have appreciated being informed of delay and reason instead of having to ring (a couple of times) to find out what the holdup was.

Installation service
I bought 2 clothesline including installation. 1st the installation guy did not call is one day in advance to organize appointment. 2nd no one discussed with owner how high do they want the clothesline to be installed. ? Do they think we are dwarfs/ midgets. The living household member are at least 185 cms. 3rd no information mentioned that clarify enough about the installation is only for clothesline not included covers . Good point is the lady at call centre is very helpful when I ordered . Also good response between business owner to me on the message .
I actually have to reinstall again coz we cannot walk in the backyard. So sad I wasted my money .

Easy, quick service
Bought an Austral Duo Clothesline. Ordered online, delivered in 2 days. Smooth easy process, with no issues. The clothes line was relatively easy to assemble, though the instructions from Austral were oddly worded.

Disappointed and exhausted
2 weeks after ordering, I contacted the company to check the progress. I was told it would be delivered at the end of the week. At the start of the following week, I chased this again to find that it would not be fabricated until the end of the week. I chased this again the next week and after finding that it had now been fabricated, it was going to sit in the factory until the end of the week before dispatch. To be delivered the start of the following week.
It would appear the the 5-20 day "guarantee" on manufacturing time it just a catchy phrase that has no value. Deeply disappointed with the lies and run around I have had to endure.

Dreadful Customer Service
Ordered and paid for product - was informed delivery would be between 2 and 9 days. I organised other work to be done during that time so the tradesman could also install the clothesline. Two weeks later no clotheline. When contacted was told they would ship it the following day!!! When I asked why I had received confirmation it had been dispatched when it hadn't there was no clear answer. They don't appear to care less about customer satisfaction. I will never buy another product from this company.

Very happy
Purchased an Austral Foldaway 51 rotary clothesline. Arrived within a couple of days after ordering! Very happy with the amount of hanging line space - this was my main concern as we were replacing a huge 1960's Hills Hoist. The plastic handle & rotary parts probably won't last for a lot of years in the harsh Australian heat but overall very happy with this clothesline. The big bonus was that were able to remove it completely for a recent party held in our backyard & use the area for seating! No issues with Lifestyle Clotheslines - would use again!

Good product
I ordered an austral removable clothes line. The web site said upto 9 business days for delivery. It came on the 11th day after I sent an email asking where it was. No real drama. A friend cemented the base in and it’s all good.

Paid to write a review and you could win $100
Are the reviews real or just hopeful they will win $100!
The product design is flawed, at the front rain falls off like a roof, this is because the entire front of the cover is secured to the front of the clothes line. The rear is secured only on the sides. When it rains the water collects and pools on top of the cover at the rear. This is because the back is not attached to the frame. Difficult to describe! I have had to heat a screwdriver and insert holes at the back so it will drain the water, basically any positive review must have not has rain or perhaps they wanted the $100

Clothesline purchase from Lifestyle Clothesline
Upon first use one of the clothesline one of the cables broke. Tried contacting company via email with no response.
I further followed up the email with a phone call (to which I was advised they would contact manufacturer). I have been waiting months and still have had no response.
The product itself is not what would be expected and seems to be of very poor standard.
I will never purchase from them again!!!

Installation of the cloths line
We purchased the clothes line in December and got it installed by Bill. Great service, no job to big or small. Highly recommend using Bill to install your cloths line.

Good Quality Line
Looking at the specifications of various companies products, this unit exceeded all others available (that I could see on the net). Also has 15 year warranty, others only have 5 year. Straight forward install for any one reasonably handy. Very easy to fold up or down, cranking mechanism is smooth & easy also. There is far more colour choice than any other brand too.

Awesome Lifestyle Retractable Clothesline
I was replacing a 40 year old Hills Retractable clothesline and discovered on line the Lifestyle Clothesline Company. It was fabulous to see there was now an Australian manufactured retractable clothesline which fitted our backyard exactly, connecting it from the mounted section on the wall to the already existing pole. Just perfect! The company was extremely helpful with ordering and superb next day delivery of my purchase was simply amazing. It is simply a delight to now hang the washing on this very functional clothesline.

Good quality but could be easier to fold down
Purchased the Addaline 35. The price was good and didn't take long to be delivered. Was easy to install. It seems to be reasonably good quality and holds up well with a full load. The mechanism for folding it down is a bit fiddly and not as easy as it should be, but I'm otherwise very happy with it.

Can the austral foldaway be lowered it's too high for my partner
2 answers
Yes, the austral foldaway can be lowered
Hi Tony, Yes the Austral Foldaway rotary clothesline can be lowered. It does depend on the position of the bar in the ground socket. There is a bar inside the socket that is set by the user when installing. this controls the height of the clothesline. If the clothesline is to high when in its lowest position, the socket would need to be dug up and the bar lowered in the socket, then re-concreted in. Hope this helps.
