A Solid Workhorse Sander
While this isn't the cheapest thing on the market, it's a solidly constructed half-sheet sander designed to get serious jobs done.
On the plus side, it's nicely balanced to use, has great variable speed control, accepts both hook & loop or clamped paper and doesn't get overly hot even during prolonged use.
On the negative side, it doesn't come very well equipped considering the price with neither a case or a cloth dust bag provided and the power cord is fairly heavy duty and tends to get in the way a bit during.
Overall, it's probably more than the home handyman needs and it is still cheaper than the Pro Bosch, the Makita 9046 and the Festool units so perhaps 'value' is relative.
